Su Yao was reborn with the painful memories of the previous apocalypse. With only a month until the apocalypse struck again, she decided not to sit idly by.
She spent all her savings to hoard...
With only 8 days left until the apocalypse, time was pressing as fast as a death knell. Filled with tension and resolve, Su Yao arrived at the car dealership.
Inside the rental shop, lights shone on the gleaming exteriors of the RVs, reflecting a unique sheen. Su Yao's eyes quickly scanned the RVs. She approached a staff member and said firmly, "I want to rent a few RVs, preferably spacious and reliable ones." The staff member looked at Su Yao, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes, but still led her to begin selecting.
Su Yao took a liking to two of the large, luxurious motorhomes. Their bodies were sturdy, and the tires were wide with clear, deep treads, indicating excellent grip. The motorhomes were fully equipped, from comfortable beds and a small, practical kitchen to a clean and tidy bathroom—it felt like a mobile home. She then selected a slightly smaller but more maneuverable off-road motorhome, which could handle more complex road conditions.
While completing the rental procedures, the car rental company owner asked with some curiosity, "What do you need so many RVs for? This kind of large-scale rental is quite rare." Su Yao was prepared, and she calmly replied, "We are a self-driving tour group, preparing for a long trip, and we need these RVs to ensure everyone's comfort." The owner was skeptical, but tempted by the generous deposit, he completed the procedures anyway.
Su Yao drove the rented RV carefully towards the warehouse she had previously rented. Along the way, she remained constantly vigilant about the surrounding traffic, proceeding cautiously at every intersection and lane change. She knew that these RVs carried her family's hopes for survival in the apocalypse, and could not afford the slightest mistake.
Upon arriving at the warehouse, Su Yao first parked the RVs in the center of the spacious warehouse. The warehouse had an old-fashioned feel, but it was large and secluded. She carefully inspected every part of each RV, from scratches and dents on the exterior to the condition of the equipment inside. She opened the storage compartments of the RVs to make sure that no miscellaneous items were left behind.
Next, Su Yao began preparing for the RV's storage. She placed cushioning pads on key areas of each RV to prevent collision damage during storage. For fragile items inside the RV, such as lamps and faucets, she simply wrapped them with soft strips of cloth.
With everything prepared, Su Yao concentrated and activated her spatial ability. A strange fluctuation appeared in the air, and with flashes of light, the RVs slowly disappeared one after another, being stored in her space. This process was not easy; each RV was huge and heavy, but Su Yao gritted her teeth and persevered, fine beads of sweat gradually forming on her forehead.
After the last RV was successfully stored in the storage space, Su Yao breathed a long sigh of relief. She slumped into a corner of the warehouse, overwhelmed by exhaustion. But she knew this was just one part of the apocalyptic preparations, and many more challenges awaited them.
After a short rest, Su Yao got up and left the warehouse. She set up some simple alarm devices around the warehouse in case anyone broke in and discovered anything amiss. Then, she drove back to the safe house. Along the way, various possible post-apocalyptic scenarios flashed through her mind, and the RVs stored in her space would be crucial for her family's escape and survival in the apocalypse. She gripped the steering wheel tightly, her eyes even more determined, and sped towards the safe house, where her family and their shared hope resided.
