The next day, Lu Wanwan asked her mother-in-law to help look after the child, and she and Gu Feng went to see their parents off together.

Before leaving, her mother-in-law asked her to bring some local specialties for her parents. Then she remembered that her parents brought a lot of things this time, and she didn't have anything for them. When she opened it, she found a pair of couple necklaces. They were very beautiful, the kind she had never seen before. "They are so beautiful. I like them very much."

"I'm glad you like it. I hope you'll have good news when we meet next time."

The good news was self-evident. Xia Wen smiled but said nothing. She knew what it was and was too embarrassed to answer.

Lu Mufan continued, "Don't worry, your brother will work hard and won't let you down."

"Wanwan, you guys go back. There's no need to see us off at the village entrance. We'll leave first."
