Chapter 540 Meteorite! (2/2)

A meteorite, roughly half the size of a sacred domain, streaked towards the City of Light with a black tail of flame.

"Raine!! What are you doing!!" Granger roared.

If this meteorite were to hit the City of Light, the city would probably be completely destroyed!

Granger turned to Tristan and Jokic behind him and yelled, "Go activate the protective array!"

Tristan and Jokic nodded quickly, one sprinting towards the center of the Sanctuary while the other flew towards the City of Light.

Granger instantly appeared in front of Renn and grabbed at Renn's tie, but Renn dodged it with teleportation.

Granger roared, "Raine! Are you going to destroy the City of Light?! Do you even know how many people live in the City of Light?!"

Renn said coldly, "Wasn't it you, Pope, who forced this?"

Granger was trembling; he hadn't expected things to turn out this way.

Rein said, "Hand over those four people to me, and I can get the meteorite to change course."

Granger also became defiant at this point: "Don't even think about it!"

“You have two minutes left. If you’re late, there’s nothing I can do,” Ryan said.

Granger gritted his teeth: "If the City of Light is destroyed, even if Fred protects you, I'll still kill you, believe it or not!?"

Renn scoffed, "If you really wanted to make a move, it might not be me who dies."

Granger felt a chill run down his spine as he looked at Ryan's confident demeanor.

"The City of Light is Joan of Arc's home, are you really going to destroy it like this?" Granger began to plead for Joan of Arc's life.

Unmoved, Raine took out a bottle of mana potion and drank it: "One and a half minutes left."

Upon hearing this, even Granger, who usually has a very good attitude, swore.

"groove!"

A meteorite doesn't pose much of a threat to Granger; with his seventh-tier strength, he can easily withstand it.

But what happens after you block it?

Even the fragments from the meteorite will still cause irreversible damage to the City of Light.

Granger paused for a moment, then spoke in a deep voice.

“Raine, I can’t entrust Tristan and the others to you because they are the highest-ranking members of the Church of Light. Losing one is one thing, but they can’t all die, do you understand?”

“I’ll compromise. Didn’t they want to subject Joan of Arc to the nine tortures? Fine, I’ll let them experience it once. How about that?”

"If you still don't agree, then let's settle this with our fists."

Raine glanced at Granger and said, "And the corpse of that fallen angel."

Granger nodded: "Okay."

Upon hearing this, Raine took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and stood still, channeling his magic power to connect with the magic power within the meteorite.

Then, manipulating the magic within the meteorite, they began to change its landing point.

Seeing that the meteorite seemed to be shifting, Granger quickly spoke up.

"Land to the north, where Blue Sea Lake is! Land there!"

Renn frowned as he manipulated the meteorite. The magic power within it was extremely unstable, making it very difficult for Renn to control. Fortunately, he had a contract with the rock elemental spirit Ais.

Therefore, most of the magic in the meteorite was controlled by Rene.

Granger breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that the meteorite was no longer heading towards the City of Light. He then flew north towards the City of Light to build a barrier to withstand the shockwave.

Boom!!

The meteorite fell into Blue Sea Lake, evaporating the lake water, and a shockwave violently struck the barrier that the City of Light had just built.

The tremors lasted for five minutes before the shock stopped.
