Joan of Arc shook her head: "It's alright, Your Majesty. Joan of Arc has made a mistake and deserves to be punished."
"Punishment my ass! You made a mistake, so I, Renn, should punish you. Why should those old fogies interfere?" Renn was furious when he heard Joan's weak words.
Upon hearing the words "old man," Granger's face involuntarily showed displeasure, but seeing that Ryan wasn't referring to him, he merely snorted.
Granger beckoned to Joan of Arc, "Joan of Arc, come to my side."
Upon hearing this, Joan of Arc walked up to Granger.
“Hold out your hand,” Granger said.
Joan of Arc extended her hands, which were behind her back, to Granger.
Granger felt a pang of unease as he looked at Joan of Arc's battered hands. He sighed and channeled his magic to emit a warm glow from his hands.
Warm light shone on Joan of Arc's hand, and the pure light particles, like tiny elves, slowly healed the bruises on her hand.
The bruises on her hands faded, and the skin on Joan of Arc's hands returned to its original whiteness.
After reducing the bruise by a third, Granger let out a heavy sigh, stopped the treatment, and said.
"That's all for today's treatment. If you bring Joan of Arc back to me in the next day or two, she should be fully recovered."
Ryan nodded, without asking Granger why he couldn't cure her all at once, and handed Granger a list.
"Your Holiness, do you think the Church of Light could procure a complete set of the items on this list for me?"
Granger took the list with a puzzled look and asked, "Solid Space Stone? Space Crystal? What do you need these for?"
Raine explained, "I learned a method for constructing long-distance magical teleportation arrays in the Misty Lands, and these materials are used to build the magical base."
"Didn't you say that if the City of Light were in trouble, I could get there within minutes? With this, I can arrive in a minute."
Granger curled his lip and tossed the list back to Ryan. "No! Go prepare it yourself!"
“The construction within the City of Light will cost a lot of gold coins, so where would we find spare money to provide you with these supplies?”
"If there's no teleportation magic circle, you'll stay in the City of Light."
Raine couldn't do anything about Granger's stingy old man, so he put away the list and left the palace with Joan of Arc.
"I'll be staying at Joan of Arc's palace for a while, waiting for the long-distance teleportation magic circle to be completed before I leave," Renn said goodbye to Granger.
Granger ignored Renn and tacitly approved of Renn's occupation of the Saintess's Palace.
As Raine was about to leave the palace with Joan of Arc, Granger tossed Raine a white jade gold token.
"Don't show your face in the Holy Land during this time. Stay in the palace."
"Understood." Renn took the token and waved his hand.
...
Raine teleported Joan of Arc back to Joan's church palace.
Although the streets outside the palace were severely damaged by the lava giants, under Ais's command, the lava giants did not cause much damage to the interior of the palace.
Raine took Joan of Arc back to the room where Raine had previously come to pick her up.
After Granger's treatment, the flesh where Joan of Arc's fingers had been pierced by the long needles was no longer turned outwards, and her hands no longer looked as terrible as before.
After settling Joan of Arc in, Raine began constructing the magical base for a long-distance teleportation array in an empty room of the palace.
Having succeeded in building it the first time, Rein was much faster this time. In less than five days, a magic base exactly like the Grey family's backyard was completed.
