Rebirth in the Great Primitive World

After a shipwreck, Li Qing arrives in a primordial world where dinosaurs, ferocious beasts, and humans coexist.

The story... begins here!

Chapter 6 Tyrannosaurus Rex

The bodies of these soldiers rose and fell slightly; their collapse was silent.

They had already prepared themselves mentally, but when they saw that the warriors they had spent day and night with, fighting and hunting together, could no longer breathe, they could only stare straight at the warriors' corpses, unable to come back to their senses for a long time.

Li Qing and the others slowly walked towards them.

Li Qing stopped in front of a burly but short man.

In my memory, he was Yong.

Li Qing squatted down, his emotions still unsettled for a long time.

More memories are beginning to resurface.

Yong was hit by a total of sixteen arrows in the back.

Even if primitive humans were physically strong, it would be almost impossible for them to survive being hit by so many arrows.

With a heavy heart, Li Qing pulled out the arrows that were stuck in Yong's back one by one.

Li and the others were making similar movements to Li Qing.

Continuing with what he was doing, Li Qing kept one thing to himself.

"There is a traitor in the Red Flower Tribe!"

At first, Li Qing thought that the Red Flower Tribe came out hunting and happened to run into the Black Wind Tribe, who were also out hunting. Because they bumped into each other and their strengths were vastly different, this tragedy occurred. It's not impossible for both tribes to hunt around Moonstone.

But when Li Qing saw the Moonstone, the layer of memories buried deep within Mai Zi's memory was also triggered, and Li Qing changed his mind.

The Black Wind Tribe stood atop the Moonstone and carried out a massacre against their own people, a massacre by forces of vastly inferior strength... The Black Wind Tribe would never go up to the Moonstone for no reason; it's a dense forest full of man-eating plants, and they would never go up there without a very good reason.

So the reason why they went to such a dangerous place is obvious.

"The Red Flower Tribe is very weak, while the Black Wind Tribe is very powerful. Given this disparity, even a simple-minded primitive man might betray his tribe. However, how can I find this traitor? As things stand, it's not the right time to tell them yet."

Li Qing looked at Li and Chu, thinking to himself that if he told them about this, given their current mental state, they might completely break down, and at that point, they might be capable of anything.

As Li Qing pulled the arrow from Yong Hou's back, he told himself that he couldn't even tell the Jie Wu about this right now. He had to find the traitor himself, but that... would take time.

Li Qing silently pulled the last arrow out of Yong's body. The arrowheads of the Black Wind Tribe's arrows seemed to be made of some kind of animal teeth, and were extremely sharp. If you were not careful, you would cut your fingers. The arrowheads even had small barbs to ensure that the damage was maximized. You had to be very careful when pulling out the arrow, otherwise a minor injury would become a serious injury, and a serious injury would become fatal!

Li Qing stood up. With Dahei watching over them, they didn't need to worry too much. A dog's nose is much more sensitive than a human's. As long as there is danger within a few hundred meters, Dahei can sense it and notify them as quickly as possible.

At this moment, a sorrowful atmosphere permeated the area around the Moonstone. Li and the others were cleaning up their companions' wounds and wiping the blood off their bodies.

Not wanting to disturb them, Li Qing squatted down again and began to help clean the bloodstains off Yong's body.

Yong's injuries were the most severe among these people, and the cleaning work was extremely troublesome. In some places, the wounds had even oozed pus—likely due to a small amount of poison added to the arrowhead.

On this trip, none of them brought much with them, except for a few weapons, just in case. After Li Qing quickly cleaned up all the parts of Yong's body that could be cleaned, he stood up and said to them, who were still immersed in grief, "Let's go after you've finished cleaning."

The stench of blood here was too strong, and it wasn't something that could be resolved in a short time. When the group arrived, there were only vultures eager to pounce in the sky, and no wild beasts were lurking around. The fact that their bodies were still relatively intact was the best news they could have: "Otherwise, the stench of blood would have attracted something even more terrifying. We didn't bring many weapons, and we had to carry them home. If we encountered any danger, it would be very troublesome."

Li Qing crouched down, hoisted Yong onto his back, and said in a deep voice, "We'll talk about everything back in the tribe. It's too dangerous here!"

He was met with a long silence, and finally Li spoke first. His voice sounded very old, which was quite different from his usual energetic self: "Mai Zi is right, let's go."

He carried another soldier on his back.

Li Ming clearly held a very high position in their hearts. After Li made his statement, these grieving soldiers carried the body on their backs.

"Let's go home."

...

On the way, there were only a few scattered conversations. Most of the time, just like on the way there, no one spoke. Li Qing walked behind Li and could see that the soldier's back was trembling slightly. He knew that Li was trying his best to suppress his anger.

This was the cruel primitive era.

This silence did not last long.

Suddenly, a few panicked barks rang out from the previously quiet squad.

Big Black had always been quiet and a well-behaved dog, but its sudden barking alerted Li Qing to the possibility of danger they hadn't yet detected. He immediately whispered to Big Black, "Shh, Big Black, stop barking!"

But Big Black continued to bark incessantly at a certain spot in the jungle. Its limbs were trembling, but its body seemed to be driven by instinct, moving forward.

The search team also stopped. Li glanced at Chu, and both of them saw a hint of worry in each other's eyes.

"What happened?"

Li Qing asked in a low voice.

Li Qing cleared his throat, supporting his companion behind him with one hand and taking out a stone axe from his waist with the other: "There must be something nearby."

"Brothers, prepare for battle."

Chu gently put down her companion behind her: "No matter what, we don't care, we must not let our brothers get hurt."

Chu's words were very effective. As soon as he spoke, the search team behind him began to gently put the soldiers down and take out their weapons, preparing for battle.

Just then, Big Black's cries grew more urgent and intense.

From the bushes not far away, came the sound of something moving through them.

Li Qing also picked up his weapon, a slightly lighter stone hammer, and looked in that direction.

A moment later, a small head suddenly popped out from the bushes.

With its eyes on the sides of its head, it looked at the strange creatures staring at it, opened its mouth to reveal a row of densely packed, cone-shaped, banana-like sharp teeth, roared, and stepped out of the bushes.

The body is supported by two strong hind legs, while the two forelimbs appear very small, like an adult's arms; clearly, they are only used to balance their heavy heads.

Li Qing immediately recognized the creature.

Its scientific name is Tyrannosaurus Rex!
