Rebirth: Let's Talk About 1984

According to reports, this story begins at an entirely unscientific moment: Zhou Ziye, a designer who rose from creating counterfeit mobile phones, suddenly time-traveled back to the year 1984.

Chapter 133 Who is this charcoal-faced guy?

Suya left the factory and went to the repair shop.

She knew that waiting for Xing Baohua here was the best option, since Xing Baohua often came here.

Niu Jishan happened to be in the shop and said to Su Ya, "Why did you come here?"

"I'm looking for Xing Baohua. I don't know where he went," Su Ya said.

"If he wasn't away on a business trip, he should only be at the factory at this time, right?"

"The factory? Workshop 5?" Su Ya was taken aback, wondering why Xing Baohua hadn't told her he was coming to the factory!

"It's not our machinery factory, it's an electronics factory." Niu Jishan thought Su Ya probably knew about Xing Baohua's electronics factory, so he said it.

"An electronics factory? He was transferred to an electronics factory?" Su Ya's mind was a complete mess after Niu Jishan's words. She didn't know that Xing Baohua had been transferred to an electronics factory. When did it happen?

“What? You don’t know? Well, this is a factory he contracted. I thought he had told you about it,” Niu Jishan said.

"No, where is he? I'll go find him." Su Ya said with a slight smile, wondering if Xing Baohua would be surprised if she saw him.

“I’m going to Shanggu Village to deliver some things later. I’ll take you with me. Find a place to sit down first, and I’ll finish what I’m doing,” Niu Jishan said.

And so, Xing Baohua came to the machinery factory. Niu Jishan took Su Ya to the electronics factory.

They took different paths and missed their chance to meet.

Xing Baohua waited in vain at the machinery factory.

When Su Ya arrived at the Shangguzhuang Electronics Factory, she was also slightly shocked.

This is his husband's factory. On the way here, Niu Jishan told him about the general process of how Xing Baohua started this factory.

Previously, it was said that Xing Baohua was only occasionally working at the factory. Turns out he's moved here to build a factory.

Thinking about all the misunderstandings he had made me feel sorry for Xing Baohua, and I really wanted to hug him and comfort him.

I inquired and found out that Xing Baohua wasn't here; he had just left.

As Su Ya was leaving, she saw a few strange people, one of whom had particularly long hair tied in a braid; he looked quite unusual.

Xing Baohua waited for Su Ya not far from the factory gate. He saw the large group of people leaving get off work but didn't see her come out. He thought she was working overtime inside.

But then I thought about how Su Ya rarely works overtime! When I got to the factory gate, I saw that it was Grandpa Wei on duty. I asked him if he had seen Su Ya get off work.

"He left an hour before closing time," said Grandpa Wei.

Xing Baohua thanked him and went home.

She's gone, where am I supposed to look for her? I can't exactly go to her house!

I'll find an opportunity to tell her tomorrow! Or I can have someone pass on a message to him.

That's all we can do.

After having dinner at home, Xing Baohua took the two musical scores written by Grandpa Li and came to Zou Wenjuan's place.

When Mr. Zou opened the door, he didn't ask anything, and he didn't even speak loudly.

He turned around and went back to the living room to watch TV.

Xing Baohua arrived at Zou Wenjuan's small room and found her practicing the piano.

"How many days off do you get for National Day? The day after tomorrow is Saturday? How do you arrange your holidays?" Xing Baohua asked as soon as she came in, and then found a place to sit down.

"What's wrong?"

“I’m going to the provincial capital on the 2nd, and I’d like to take you all with me,” Xing Baohua said.

"Us? Who else?"

"The band, and composer Mr. Li. My recording studio isn't ready yet, but the orchestral symphony section has connections with the recording studio at the broadcasting station. I'm thinking you could record one or two pieces there," Xing Baohua said.

“Oh! I have a five-day holiday. I don’t have any classes on the first day of school, but our grade leader said I can have an extra day off,” Zou Wenjuan said.

"Well, you can't rest. I'll give you a long vacation when I have time. You can go wherever you want!" Xing Baohua said again, making empty promises. He was just trying to fool people until the conditions were right.

"I don't know where I want to go. Everyone says Paris is a romantic city. Hmm! I'll go check it out when I have time."

Xing Baohua thought to herself, "Good idea, young and beautiful, with a naive and romantic imagination. But Li! That place looks beautiful, but it's actually a complete mess. We'd have to go in a group."

He changed his expression to a smile and said, "Indeed, the world is so big, you should go see it. I'll let you go whenever you have the chance. Alright, look at the script and practice. I'll come pick you up tomorrow to do a sound check."

"Tomorrow?" Zou Wenjuan was taken aback.

"No way?" Xing Baohua countered.

“Tomorrow is Friday, and I have class,” Zou Wenjuan said.

"Just one day off, we're already short on time," Xing Baohua said, trying to deceive us.

"I can't ask for leave! I have class this afternoon. How about this, you pick me up in the morning to ask for leave, and then take me to school in the afternoon?" Zou Wenjuan said after thinking for a moment.

"Fine!" Xing Baohua said helplessly.

Zou Wenjuan looked at the two sheets of paper and said, "Why is there a duet? Who are you singing with? You?"

"I'll pass. You know my voice. We can sing it when there's an opportunity or when a publisher recruits male singers."

"No, I want to hear you sing now." For some reason, Zou Wenjuan still wanted to play a prank.

She first looked at the sheet music and tapped out the rhythm. Twenty minutes later, Zou Wenjuan had almost finished understanding the sheet music. She picked up her guitar and turned on the Sanyo tape recorder.

Press the record button to prepare to record her and Xing Baohua's singing.

I don't know why, but Xing Baohua can never quite get the hang of a song that he's usually very good at.

"How can you be like this! You ruin a good song. Can't you be serious?" Zou Wenjuan said, unable to bear Xing Baohua's off-key singing after listening to him sing several times.

"Let's skip it today, you're not in the zone. Just practice your solo." Xing Baohua said without any embarrassment.
