Wishing all the gentlemen a happy Dragon Boat Festival and good health to your families.

Secondly, I'd like to bow: the tomb raiding plot and the subsequent study tour plot this month did indeed drag on the storyline and pace. I apologize to everyone. I will try my best to speed up the pace of this month's plot.

Now, let's talk about the main plot: Gentlemen, relying solely on scavenging for bargains makes the story too scattered and unable to support the main plot. Moreover, the objective is unclear; it's all about making money.

Given the protagonist's significant development and the improvement of his status and position, the storyline of applying for World Heritage status and conducting research is relatively more suitable.

However, it will definitely not only focus on the application for World Heritage status and research; the emphasis will still be on treasure hunting and authentication. It will also include subplots such as archaeological exploration, tomb raiding, and local folk culture.

However, during the initial period of the book's release and before the World Heritage application plot unfolded, the story mainly focused on authentication and treasure hunting. There were numerous comments saying things like: "It gets tedious after a while," "It's annoying," "It lowers your intelligence," and "It's self-indulgent." Other comments criticized the protagonist's questionable values and ability to distinguish truth from falsehood, among other things.

I was thinking of changing things up and introducing the World Heritage application as a storyline. But the groundwork wasn't laid well, it felt too abrupt, like jumping from one topic to another. That's absolutely true; I was experiencing severe writer's block during that period, and that's exactly why.

But since it has already been spread out, closing it too quickly, or skipping it altogether, would seem more abrupt, so I wrote a section.

Then, the tomb raiding storyline came up. Some people said that the plot was deliberately made less exciting, bland and tasteless, and that after so much buildup, it was all just a big mess... I admit that the first three points were not well planned, and I apologize.

But there's a mess I don't really want to acknowledge: I feel that the protagonist's character is supposed to be steady and wise, and if he expresses his emotions too strongly, the character will break down and seem very disjointed.

Even if you're trying to be pretentious, it should be something as subtle as a breeze. So, despite the many criticisms, I still ended things according to the original plan.

During this time, someone suggested writing old-fashioned satirical, pretentious, and face-slapping pieces. This led to the recent study and observation trip.

But I still got criticized... The author felt bitter and wronged...

Just kidding, trying to lighten the mood. Because I know: the plot is unclear, the pacing is slow, the romance is awkwardly written, and so on—all the problems the guys mentioned exist. Seriously, I admit it.

So, I'm posting this separate chapter today to sincerely apologize to you all. Please give me some time: I'll be working hard to learn and improve.

Also, regarding updates: looking at the backend, there were 230,000 words updated this month. The paid word count is definitely less than that, but it's certainly at least 210,000.

I'll work hard next month and try to exceed 210,000.

Thank you again to everyone who donated and voted. This month's monthly votes are over 8000, and I still owe two bonus chapters, which I will make up for next month. Thank you also for your subscription support. Without your love and tolerance, this book would not have achieved its current success.

Thank you, sirs. (bows again)

Finally, I wish all of you a happy Dragon Boat Festival and good health to your families!
