As soon as the call connected, Li's mother's furious roar came from the other end: "Li Wanting! Look at the time! Why aren't you home yet! You're getting married in just a few days, don't you even know what's going on?"

Hearing her mother's reprimand, Li Wanting subconsciously glanced at Wang Hu beside her. She saw that he had his brows furrowed slightly, seemingly confused by the sudden influx of information.

So she quickly replied into the phone, "Mom, I know! I'll be back soon, don't worry, I'm not a child anymore, I can take care of myself, you don't need to worry about me like this!"

Li's mother's voice grew louder, "What do you know? Lawyer Liu told me today that you went out with a young man after get off work, and asked what you were planning to do."

At this moment, Li Wanting's voice also began to rise, and she said angrily, "I just want to get revenge on him. Why can he cheat on me but I can't? Besides, the one I found is even better than him."

On the other end of the phone, Li's mother shouted angrily, "Tingting! Are you trying to drive me crazy? Our company is counting on you..." Li Wanting took a deep breath and slowly opened her mouth as if she had made up her mind: "Actually... the 'fly' I said I wanted to avoid back then is my current fiancé."

Upon hearing this, Wang Hu's surprise deepened, and the image of Li Wanting's expression during their previous conversation immediately flashed through his mind—that deep disgust seemed still vivid in his mind.
