Rebirth of the 80s

Wen Qing died, dying in the arms of her husband, Ji Yanjun.

When she opened her eyes again, she was back in the 1980s, when she was seventeen years old. She had dropped out of school, her fam...

Chapter 133

After hanging up the phone, Wen Qing sat on the stool in a daze for a while until Yao Shiling came out of the east room and called her, which brought her back to her senses.

"Wen Qing, Hengheng is asleep," Yao Shiling said.

Wen Qing asked, "Didn't he say he was afraid of the dark?"

Yao Shiling said, "No, he was just frightened. We'll call his soul back and he'll be fine. We'll do it again tomorrow night."

Wen Qing didn't object; as long as things were balanced, that was fine.

Yao Shiling, sitting next to him, asked, "Was that Yanjun calling?"

"Um."

"What did you say?" Yao Shiling asked.

"They say Zhang Fangfang hasn't woken up yet; she might have injured her brain," Wen Qing said.

"You've injured your brain?" Yao Shiling exclaimed in surprise. "Is it serious?"

"It's not clear yet. Everything can only proceed after Zhang Fangfang wakes up," Wen Qing said.

Although Yao Shiling was gentle and knew a few words, that was all. She knew nothing about legal matters, so she asked, "What will happen to Hengheng's grandmother?"

Wen Qing thought for a moment. She didn't really know much about the law, especially since various laws and regulations were newly established and were constantly being revised later. So she couldn't be completely sure what the outcome would be for Liang Wenhua. So she honestly said, "I don't know either. If Zhang Fangfang doesn't wake up, it depends on the intentions of the Shen family and the Li family. If Zhang Fangfang wakes up, we'll probably need to assess her injuries."

"Will I go to jail?" Yao Shiling asked.

Wen Qing could only say, "Maybe, maybe not."

Yao Shiling took a breath and said, "Let's wake Zhang Fangfang up, and let's not let Grandma Hengheng go to jail."

"Why?" Wen Qing asked.

Yao Shiling sighed, "Everyone's life is so short. Let's learn from this lesson and live our lives well."

Yao Shiling was soft-hearted after all, and some things couldn't be resolved by being soft-hearted. However, Wen Qing didn't say anything else. After a while, she carried Hengheng back to the room and held Hengheng as they fell asleep.

The next morning, before Wen Qing got out of bed, she felt a little dumpling moving around beside her. When she opened her eyes, she saw the little dumpling wearing a bright red cotton bib lying on her lap. The little dumpling was chubby, fair and tender, and very cute.

"Hey, who's here so early in the morning?" Wen Qing asked with a smile, "Who's lying on me like this?"

Hengheng raised her chubby cheeks and said with a grin, "Hengheng."

"Who is Hengheng?" Wen Qing asked with a smile.

"Hengheng, it is me."

Wen Qing sat up, pulled him into her arms, pinched his chubby cheeks, and said, "Why did you get up so early?"

"Dad, get out of bed, find Dad."

Wen Qing tugged at his red undergarment and said, "Then you should wear clothes too."

Hengheng stared at Wen Qing with his bright black eyes, blinked twice, and tugged at his red bib, saying, "Mommy, wear it!"

“Give Mom a kiss, and Mom will dress you,” Wen Qing said.

Without hesitation, Hengheng leaned over and kissed Wenqing on the face. Wenqing also cupped his chubby little face and kissed him again and again, making him giggle. He held his mother's face in his little hands and called out in his baby voice, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy won't kiss me, won't kiss me."

Wen Qing laughed.

Just then, the phone rang in the main room.

A moment later, Yao Shiling came over and said, "Wen Qing, Yan Jun just called and asked you to go to the police station to give a statement."

Wen Qing paused for a moment, then asked, "Is Zhang Fangfang awake?"

"not yet."

"Okay, I'll be there in a bit."

After breakfast, Wen Qing handed Hengheng over to Yao Shiling and secretly left the courtyard when Hengheng couldn't see her. If Hengheng saw her leave, she would cry and make a fuss.

After Wen Qing left, Yao Shiling didn't even dare to wash the dishes, let alone feed the cows. She kept holding Hengheng, and when she couldn't hold him anymore, she put him on the ground and let him play with Da Dao's younger brother, Xiao Dao. She kept her eyes glued to him, afraid that Hengheng would be taken away again.

Meanwhile, Wen Qing had already arrived at the Nanzhou Police Station.

Like everyone else, she explained the situation to Zhou Xu and other police officers, and then came out of the police station, where she happened to meet Ji Yanjun, Gangzi, and others.

Ji Yanjun was still wearing yesterday's clothes and looked somewhat tired.

"Qingqing." Upon seeing Wen Qing, he naturally stepped forward, took her hand, and asked, "Aren't you scared?"

Wen Qing shook her head: "No."

"How is Hengheng?" Ji Yanjun asked.

"It's great. Yesterday and today, the food, drinks, and entertainment are all the same as before," Wen Qing said.

Ji Yanjun was relieved.

Wen Qing then greeted Gangzi, before turning to ask Ji Yanjun, "Where's Mom?"

"She's still at the police station. She can only come out after Zhang Fangfang wakes up," Ji Yanjun said.

"After Zhang Fangfang woke up, was Mom alright?" Wen Qing asked.

"Pretty much, but it also depends on the severity of the injury, and the procedures are quite complicated," Ji Yanjun said.

"What do you mean by 'more or less'? Wasn't Mom acting in self-defense?" Wen Qing asked, puzzled.

At this moment, Gangzi chimed in, "Wenqing, I have a real story to tell you. A few years ago, in our neighborhood, four neighbors got drunk and started playing mahjong. They got into a fight over five cents. The two sides, A and B, started hitting each other. B was particularly vicious, picking up a stool and hitting A with it. B didn't hurt A, but A accidentally smashed a hole in B's head, injuring his brain. When B woke up, he was paralyzed on one side. A not only had to pay compensation but also spent a year in jail."

Ji Yanjun remained silent after hearing this.

Wen Qing remained silent.

Several friends nearby nudged Gangzi, who immediately realized he had said something wrong and quickly corrected himself, "I, I, I didn't mean that, I meant..."

“Gangzi, it’s alright, no need to explain, I understand,” Ji Yanjun said.

Gangzi scratched his head sheepishly.

Wen Qing turned to look at Ji Yanjun, took his hand, and said, "Always think positively, but also prepare for the worst."

Ji Yanjun immediately felt a warmth in his heart and smiled at Wen Qing.

While Zhang Fangfang was in the hospital and Liang Wenhua was still at the police station, Su Hongmei, having learned the news, came to the Ji family and made a huge scene, vowing to seek justice for Zhang Fangfang and make the Ji family pay until they were bankrupt.

At that time, Ji Ningzhi was not at home, Liang Wenhua was at the police station, Ji Yousheng was not good at arguing, and Su Hongmei jumped around in the Ji family home for a long time, but no one paid attention to her. Even the audience members who were watching the show said they were bored and dispersed.

Su Hongmei had no choice but to slink home. Then she went to see Zhang Fangfang and, incidentally, to meet with Li Chuanli's family to discuss how to extort money from the Ji family. Ji Yanjun of the Ji family was rich, and Wen Qing was even richer. Now, not to mention Nanzhou City, there were few people in the whole of China as rich as Wen Qing. Taking advantage of Zhang Fangfang's injury, they had to extort money from her to the extreme. If they could extort money from her this time, they would never have to do anything for the rest of their lives and could just wait to live a life of luxury.

Upon arriving at the hospital, they found no trace of the Li family, but instead saw Ji Yanjun and Wen Qing.

"What are you doing here?" Su Hongmei asked with an icy expression.

Wen Qing glanced at her and said, "Wait for the results."

"What was the result?"

"The test results," Wen Qing said calmly.

Su Hongmei snorted, looking disdainful, and said, "That's right, only after the examination results are available can we figure out how much compensation you should pay!"

Wen Qing looked at Ji Yanjun.

Ji Yanjun also looked at Wen Qing.

Wen Qing asked with a smile, "Ma'am, are you here to be funny?"

"What do you mean by that?" Su Hongmei asked unhappily.

Wen Qing retorted, "You don't actually think we're waiting for the results and then paying compensation, do you?"

"Otherwise, what do you want?" Su Hongmei said sternly. "Let me tell you, we won't let this go so easily because you hurt Fangfang!" In Su Hongmei's view, no matter what Zhang Fangfang did, she didn't hurt anyone. Wen Qing was fine, Ji Yanjun was fine, everyone was fine, only Liang Wenhua was detained in the police station. It was clear that the police station was on Zhang Fangfang's side. Thinking this, Su Hongmei felt even more confident in demanding money.

Wen Qing smiled.

Ji Yanjun's face remained expressionless.

Su Hongmei glared at Wen Qing and asked, "What are you laughing at?!"

Wen Qing asked, "Madam, you've probably forgotten about your niece making counterfeit and shoddy products, haven't you?"

Su Hongmei's expression immediately turned ugly: "One thing at a time!"

"So you didn't know that Zhang Fangfang kidnapped my child and attempted to harm her, but my mother-in-law stopped her first. Now that she's awake and physically okay, are you just waiting for the impersonation and kidnapping to happen at the same time so you can lock her up in jail?" Wen Qing pressed on with each question.

Su Hongmei's face immediately turned pale, and her eyes glazed over: "What...what did you say?"

"They said Zhang Fangfang would be fined and go to jail. Otherwise, why don't you think the Li family sent anyone?" Ji Yanjun chimed in.

Su Hongmei froze, staring at Ji Yanjun and Wen Qing in disbelief. She didn't dare to face Ji Yanjun, but pointed at Wen Qing and said, "You're talking nonsense!"

Ji Yanjun pulled Wen Qing into his arms.

Just as Su Hongmei was about to throw another tantrum, she saw Zhang Fangfang walk out from the depths of the corridor, flanked by two police officers. Su Hongmei was taken aback. As Zhang Fangfang and the two police officers approached, her gaze froze, and she stared blankly at Zhang Fangfang.

Zhang Fangfang's head was wrapped in gauze, but that wasn't the point. The point was her face. Although her face wasn't injured, Su Hongmei noticed that Zhang Fangfang's facial muscles were twitching from time to time. What was going on? What was going on?

Su Hongmei rushed over and asked, "Fangfang, what happened to your face? What happened?"

Before Su Hongmei could pounce, she was stopped by a police officer who said sternly, "The prisoner is physically healthy, but his facial nerves are injured, which is causing his facial muscles to twitch repeatedly."

"What?" Su Hongmei stared at Zhang Fangfang's face in surprise. Her face was perfectly fine, but it kept twitching. How could she possibly look at it?

"It was her, it was them who made Fangfang like this!" Su Hongmei suddenly shouted, "It was Liang Wenhua who smashed Fangfang like this, I'm going to sue them!"

The police officer remained expressionless and said, "It's no one's fault. The prisoner ignored the doctor's orders, forced himself to get out of bed, and banged his head against the wall."

As soon as the police officer finished speaking, Su Hongmei looked at Zhang Fangfang in shock: "Fangfang, Fangfang."

Zhang Fangfang no longer had any of her former carefree thoughts, because she had committed a crime. Not only did she illegally manufacture counterfeit and shoddy products on a huge scale, but she also colluded with people in the underworld to kidnap Ji Heng. With both witnesses and physical evidence, she could not escape. All her former pride, dignity, and resentment collapsed the moment the police put handcuffs on her.

At this moment, she showed the handcuffs to Su Hongmei.

Su Hongmei was stunned on the spot.

"Let's go," the police officers said in unison.

Zhang Fangfang walked slowly with the two police officers. When she passed Ji Yanjun and Wen Qing, she turned to look at the two of them, and finally her gaze stopped on Wen Qing. She said, "You won."

Wen Qing said calmly, "I have never competed with you."

Zhang Fangfang was taken aback, then burst into laughter. As she laughed, her facial muscles twitched three or four times, making her laughter look particularly terrifying.

Ji Yanjun and Wen Qing watched calmly.

The two police officers took her into the police car.

As Ji Yanjun and Wen Qing turned to look at the hospital corridor, Su Hongmei collapsed to the ground, covering her face and weeping bitterly. She was heartbroken over her money. She had been incredibly envious of Zhang Fangfang's clothing factory, which made a fortune every day. So when Zhang Fangfang needed money, she gave her all her savings, essentially becoming an investor. But now Zhang Fangfang had gone bankrupt. Would she ever get her money back?

These are counterfeit and shoddy products! The government is cracking down on counterfeits. If she goes to ask for the money back, will she be arrested as an accomplice? At this moment, she covered her face, heartbroken. Where will she find money for food tomorrow?

"Qingqing, let's go," Ji Yanjun said.

Wen Qing nodded.

In the afternoon, Ji Yanjun, Ji Ningzhi, and Ji Yousheng went to the police station to pick up Liang Wenhua.

When Liang Wenhua came out, his hair was disheveled and his eyes were sunken. Perhaps he was frightened by what had happened in the past few days. His usual arrogance had vanished, and he appeared cautious. If he really spent a year and a half in prison, his personality would definitely change.

"mom."

"mom."

"Wen Hua!"

Ji Yanjun, Ji Ningzhi, and Ji Yousheng stepped forward.

When Ji Ningzhi saw Liang Wenhua's disheveled appearance, tears streamed down her face.

Ji Yousheng's eyes also reddened.

Liang Wenhua looked around but didn't see Wen Qing and Hengheng, so she asked, "Where's Hengheng?"

Ji Yanjun replied, "Staying in Shuiwan Village is quite nice; I'm still as lively as before."

"That's good." Liang Wenhua had no idea how she got out. She thought she had killed Zhang Fangfang and would spend the rest of her life in prison. Now she asked cautiously, "Where is Zhang Fangfang?"

"She was arrested by the police station after she recovered from her injuries," Ji Ningzhi said.

Liang Wenhua asked, "Is she alright?"

“No, it’s fine. However, she has done something wrong and should be punished. She will definitely go to jail this time,” Ji Ningzhi said.

Liang Wenhua nodded, and was about to ask another question when Ji Yanjun said, "Mom, let's go home and wash up first."

“Yes, let’s go home first,” Ji Yousheng said.

After returning home, Ji Yousheng prepared a sumptuous dinner to welcome Liang Wenhua.

However, Ji Yanjun did not stay at home for dinner. He had been busy these past few days and hadn't had a chance to spend much time with Wen Qing and Heng Heng, so he was in a hurry to go back.

"Yanjun," Liang Wenhua called out to him.

Ji Yanjun stopped: "Mom, what's wrong?"

These past few days, Liang Wenhua has been living in fear at the police station. This is the first time in her life that she has encountered such a setback. Locked in a dark room, she thought about the fact that she had killed someone, about the fact that she might spend the rest of her life in prison, about the horrors of prison. She was so frightened by herself that she couldn't sleep or eat. She was trapped in fear, thinking that if she went to jail, she might as well die. Yes, she might as well die.

Thinking about it, she realized that she was really going to die. So, like most people, she thought about all sorts of things before she died. As she thought about it, she felt that she had lived a good life. She had a good family, a good husband, good children, and now her chubby grandson was even better. So why was she making such a fuss?

In the hypothetical "before death," she suddenly asked herself, why did she hate Wen Qing so much?

Wen Qing's second uncle saved Ji Yanjun's life.

Wen Qing founded the Fengqing Group.

Wen Qing gave birth to Hengheng.

...

Why did she hate Wen Qing so much? Was she sick? She kept thinking about it and realized she really was sick, because she realized that Wen Qing was actually quite good. It's just that at the time, she had her eye on Zhang Fangfang, wanting Zhang Fangfang to be the Ji family's daughter-in-law. Zhang Fangfang was beautiful, educated, and from a good family in the city; marrying her would be a status symbol. But Wen Qing was the complete opposite of Zhang Fangfang; besides having a face that made other women jealous, she was completely useless, and she was even using her second uncle's death to tie Ji Yanjun to her own.

Therefore, Liang Wenhua disliked Wen Qing from the outset.

Looking back now, it wasn't a problem with what Wen Qing did, but rather that she had always viewed Wen Qing with prejudice.

"Mom," Ji Yanjun called out.

Liang Wenhua snapped out of her daze.

"What do you want?" Ji Yanjun asked.

Liang Wenhua stood up and said, "When are you going to invite Hengheng and Wenqing back for a meal?"

"Let me ask Wen Qing when I get back," Ji Yanjun said.

In the past, Liang Wenhua would have definitely said something sarcastic, like asking Wen Qing about something while having a meal, but this time Liang Wenhua didn't say anything.

Ji Yanjun then left. When he returned to Shuiwan Village, Wen Qing and Yao Shiling were serving dishes in the kitchen, Wen Liang was tending the fire, Wen Peng was washing his hands, and Hengheng was lying on the table, sucking on a plate of well-cooked pig's trotters.

"Hengheng, don't touch the vegetables with your hands," Wen Qing said from the kitchen. "Keep an eye on the dogs and cats, and don't let them come into the yard to eat meat."

"Mmm." Hengheng responded, his eyes not leaving the pig's trotter. He stared at it for a while, and a drop of saliva dripped down his throat. He wanted to reach out and grab it, but then he remembered that his mother said he couldn't grab vegetables with his hands and had to listen to her. He couldn't resist any longer, so he stood on his tiptoes and took a bite right off the pig's trotter.

"Hengheng!" Ji Yanjun called out.

As soon as Hengheng saw his father, he took a bite and ran towards the kitchen. Although he was unsteady on his feet, his short legs were quite fast. He ran behind Yao Shiling and hugged Yao Shiling's leg.

"Hengheng, what's wrong?" Yao Shiling asked, holding a steamed bun. She looked up and saw Ji Yanjun, and said with a smile, "Yanjun is back."

"Okay, Mom, let me take it." Ji Yanjun moved closer to Yao Shiling and took the steamed bun from her hand.

Yao Shiling clearly felt the little boy hugging her leg tighter, so she asked in confusion, "What's wrong with Hengheng?"

"Daddy, hit me." Hengheng hugged Yao Shiling's leg, buried his face in Yao Shiling's leg, and stared at Ji Yanjun's face with his bright eyes.

"Why would I hit you?" Ji Yanjun asked.

Wen Qing returned with the dishes, smiled, and whispered to Yao Shiling, "I got caught stealing pig's trotters."

Yao Shiling suddenly realized.

"I...I ate...meat," Hengheng said.

"Come here." Ji Yanjun squatted down at the doorway, stretched out his hand, and looked him in the eye.

"Daddy, don't hit me," Hengheng said, pouting.

Ji Yanjun said with a stern face, "Come here."

"Don't hit me, okay?" Hengheng said in a pleading tone, "Daddy, don't hit me."

Wen Qing, Yao Shiling, Wen Liang, and Wen Peng all held back their laughter.

"Come here." Only Ji Yanjun had a stern face.

Hengheng looked up at Yao Shiling, then at Wen Qing, and seeing that everyone seemed indifferent to her, she let go of Yao Shiling and slowly approached Ji Yanjun: "Dad, don't hit me."

When he got to Ji Yanjun, Ji Yanjun still pulled down his pants and slapped his tender little bottom twice. He then buried his face in Wen Qing's arms and cried loudly, "Daddy, hit me, hit me!"

“Who told you to steal food? Grandma, Uncle, Dad, and Mom didn’t eat any,” Wen Qing said.

"Waaaaah!" Hengheng cried so hard.

At this moment, Wen Liang said, "Hengheng, don't cry, you can eat pig's trotters now."

Hengheng immediately stopped crying, looked up from Wen Qing's arms, and looked at Ji Yanjun.

Ji Yanjun said, "It's ready to eat."

He tilted his little head up to look at Wen Qing.

Wen Qing also said, "It's ready to eat."

Then he pointed to the plate and said, "I want to eat a big pig's trotter." After getting it, his eyes, which were still hiding two puffs of tears, immediately curved into a smile, and he started to laugh.

Wen Qing and Ji Yan exchanged a glance, and at the same time touched Hengheng's chubby face.

That evening, Ji Yanjun and Wen Qing played with Hengheng on the bed for a while until Hengheng fell asleep. Only then did Yao Shiling come over, carry Hengheng to the east room, and sleep with her.

Only Wen Qing and Ji Yanjun were in the room.

Ji Yanjun rested his head on his hands, propped up on one leg, and lay on his back on the bed, turning his head slightly to look at Wen Qing.

Wen Qing was locking the door when she saw his handsome face, tall and slender figure, and a smug look in his eyes. She found it amusing. After locking the door, she had just reached the bedside when Ji Yanjun pulled her into his arms. Wen Qing turned off the light, and the two of them, in the quilt, endured, intertwined, and moved, burning each other like fire until they released. Ji Yanjun got up and went to the kitchen to fetch warm water. After washing up, the two lay on the bed.

Ji Yanjun put his arm around her and said, "It's finally over."

Wen Qing squinted, lying on her arm, and asked, "How many years will Zhang Fangfang serve in prison?"

"I don't know, but it won't be a small amount. It's good to let her reform herself properly," Ji Yanjun said.

Wen Qing: "Hmm." Not only Zhang Fangfang, but Li Chuanli will also go to jail. How many years? These things are no longer important, because her and Ji Yanjun's positions are beyond what Zhang Fangfang and Li Chuanli can reach.

A moment later, Ji Yanjun said again, "Mom wants you and Hengheng to come home for a meal."

"Oh," Wen Qing said lazily.

"To go or not to go?"

"It depends on my mood."

"Go back when you're in a good mood?"

"I'll listen to Hengheng," Wen Qing said with a smile. Perhaps Liang Wenhua realized her mistake and repented, but that didn't mean she would forgive and forget and treat her as kindly as she treated Yao Shiling. It was probably impossible for that in this lifetime. As long as they didn't quarrel or cause trouble for each other, it would be fine.

"Okay." Ji Yanjun did not insist on Wen Qing's request.

Wen Qing and Heng Heng did not go to the Ji family's house for dinner.

The next day, Wen Qing, Ji Yanjun, and Hengheng went straight to their home in Nanzhou. As soon as they arrived, Hengheng jumped up happily: "We're home! We're home!"

Ji Yanjun and Wen Qingxiao.

After that, Wen Qing and Ji Yan both began a stable work, study and life.

While Wen Qing was busy, Ji Yanjun stayed home to take care of Hengheng.

When Ji Yanjun was busy, Wen Qing would take Hengheng with her. If they couldn't make it, Wen Qing would take Hengheng to school together. If the teacher was easy to talk to, she would let him sit in his seat and play with toys. If the teacher was difficult to talk to, she would hide him behind her in the corner so he could play with toys. His classmates would help cover for him. Because he was cute, he easily won the hearts of many girls.

At the same time, everyone knows that Wen Qing is already a mother, which Ji Yanjun is very satisfied with.

Meanwhile, Fengqing Group gradually expanded its reach across the country, becoming a leader in the national garment industry and inspiring awe in many people both inside and outside the industry.

However, everyone only knew Feng Qing and Wen Qing, but had never seen Wen Qing in person.

So Wen Qing lived a happy life. During the Spring Festival, she and Heng Heng finally agreed to go back to the Ji family home for a New Year's Eve dinner.

Hengheng has started talking and is very mischievous. The whole family loves him dearly. What hasn't changed is that Hengheng still doesn't like Liang Wenhua. Whenever Liang Wenhua gets close to him, he walks away.

"Why is Hengheng still not letting me touch her?" Liang Wenhua felt terrible.

Ji Ningzhi teased, "You're so mean to your sister-in-law."

"Nonsense, I'm not looking for trouble at all now."

"Mom, you know you used to be a troublemaker?" Ji Ningzhi asked.

Liang Wenhua: "Go away, go away."

Although Liang Wenhua realized her mistake, she did not apologize to Wen Qing directly. Wen Qing treated her as before, neither warm nor cold. The relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law has always been difficult to reconcile. Ji Yanjun was actually satisfied that Wen Qing and Liang Wenhua could be like this.

On New Year's Eve, Ji Yousheng brought up Zhang Fangfang, saying that she was involved in kidnapping and selling counterfeit products and had been sentenced to thirteen years in prison. He said that Li Chuanli, that shameless guy, blamed everything on Zhang Fangfang when things went wrong, claiming that she had instructed him to do it. However, Li Chuanli was also sentenced to six years in prison. Because of this, Li Chuanli's family came to the Shen family's house to cause trouble many times. Su Hongmei even fell ill from anger and had no money for treatment. Liang Wenhua felt sorry for her and helped her by buying her some medicine.

Wen Qing and Ji Yanjun sighed upon hearing this. So, people should not do bad things. When things are going well, you never know when you might fall.

Ji Yanjun held Wen Qing's hand under the table, and Wen Qing turned her head and smiled at her.

Before the summer vacation of the following year, after Wen Qing and Ji Yan finished dealing with their respective tasks, the three of them took the train to Xiacheng on the day Wen Qing's vacation began.

The train sped along, and fields, lakes, and mountains flashed by outside the window, a truly beautiful sight.

Hengheng was going on his first long trip. He pressed his face against the car window, his mouth agape, exclaiming, "Wow, wow, wow!"

The carriage was nearly empty. Wen Qing leaned her head on Ji Yanjun's shoulder, wanting to rest for a while, when she heard Hengheng's little wailing. Unable to sleep at all, she sat up straight and gently patted Hengheng's chubby little bottom: "What are you wailing about!"

Hengheng turned his head, his eyes sparkling: "Mommy, look, the mountain is so high!"

"I can't see you, you're too fat and you're blocking my view," Wen Qing said.

Ji Yanjun chuckled.

Hengheng protested, asking in a childish voice, "Daddy, what are you laughing at?"

Ji Yanjun pursed his lips and looked serious, as if to say, "I wasn't laughing just now."

Hengheng obediently sat back down next to Wen Qing, his chubby cheeks puffed out, looking incredibly cute.

Wen Qing leaned over and kissed him. He puffed out his cheeks, so Wen Qing kissed him again and again and again. Hengheng couldn't hold back anymore and giggled, hugging Wen Qing's neck and saying, "Mommy, Mommy, I'm hungry, I'm hungry."

Wen Qing turned to Ji Yanjun and said, "Darling, I'm hungry too."

Ji Yanjun smiled and said, "Let's eat."

Wen Qing and Heng Heng: "Okay."

The train continued its whirring journey, with Wen Qing, Ji Yanjun, and Hengheng chatting and laughing throughout the carriage.

"Mom, where is Xiacheng?"

"It stays wherever the train stops."

"Dad, are we coming back?"

"return."

"Mom, what are we coming back for?"

"Yeah, let's come back to fight in the 1990s."
