Twenty years of familial love, years of marital affection—all were lies. The father who doted on her since childhood turned out to be the murderer of her mother. The husband who cherished her all a...
Mo Jing was grabbed by the shoulders by Lao Wu, a gun pressed against her lower back, and pushed out.
"Listen up, all you police officers outside! Get out of the way at least 100 meters away, or I'm going to kill the hostage!" Lao Wu shouted, standing behind Mo Jing and using her as a shield.
The police officers appeared to have a brief discussion, then one of the male officers waved his hand behind him: "Back off."
With well-trained movements, the police cars and officers in front of them quickly retreated to a distance of 100 meters.
Mo Jing was pushed forward and walked out of the bank. Several robbers formed a circle and carefully moved towards their van.
The van was opened, and Mo Jing was thrown inside, surrounded by people sitting on either side of her.
The mixture of tobacco and body odor on them made Mo Jing feel nauseous.
After the car started, it began to drive out of the city at a high speed.
"Boss, we've pulled off this heist! It'll be enough for us to live on for the rest of our lives!" a slightly short man said excitedly.
"And we even brought a pretty girl over, we made a profit this time." Old Wu's lecherous eyes had been constantly glancing at Mo Jing ever since he got on the bus, and now he was even more blatantly groping Mo Jing's thigh with his rough hands.
Mo Jing slapped Lao Wu's hand away in disgust.
The fourth brother added fuel to the fire, saying, "Come on, fifth brother, with your pig-headed appearance, didn't you see that the young lady looked down on you?"
The fifth brother, feeling embarrassed by the fourth brother's words, immediately reached out to slap Mo Jing.
Mo Jing grabbed Lao Wu's large hand, met his gaze without fear, and said, word by word, "If I were you, I would be thinking about how to escape as quickly as possible, instead of trying to gain some temporary advantage here. Thinking about these things before even leaving the city means you won't live to spend your money."
"What did you say? Believe me or not, I'll shoot you dead." Lao Wu was a straightforward person with little brains. Upon hearing Mo Jing's words, his expression immediately changed, and he picked up the gun that was on his waist and pointed it directly at Mo Jing.
"Kill me, kill me if you want. Let's see how you escape this inescapable police net without any hostages." Despite the unfavorable situation, Mo Jing tried her best to remain calm and composed, analyzing the pros and cons of the situation and not showing any fear.
She knew that if she was weak, she would likely be taken advantage of by these people, so she had no choice but to take a gamble.
A loud slap followed, accompanied by the fifth brother's enraged voice: "I'll kill you!"
Fortunately, the second brother stopped him, fearing he might do something reckless again. He snatched the pistol from his hand and advised, "Fifth brother, you should change your temper and lecherous nature. What kind of situation is this? We can't tolerate you acting like this!"
The fifth brother's grip was very strong. Mo Jing felt his face swell and burn. The faint pain made him realize that the corner of his mouth was cut, and a faint taste of blood entered his mouth.
She simply clenched her fists and glanced inadvertently at the second brother's waist, where he had just taken the pistol from the fifth brother.
"Little girl, you've got some nerve. Aren't you afraid of angering us and actually killing you?" The man with the buzz cut looked at Mo Jing with a cryptic gaze. This girl stood up for him at the bank, and then didn't cry or make a fuss when getting on the bus—her reactions were completely unlike those of a normal person.
"Now that I'm on this bus, do I still have a say in my own life?" Mo Jing said coldly.
