The man held the child for a while, then handed him to the woman. His movements were somewhat rough, and he popped the buttons off the child's clothes.

It happened to fall onto Bai Jiaojiao's lap.

Bai Jiaojiao was holding the button, about to return it to them, when she noticed the little yellow jacket the child was wearing.

Her brow twitched suddenly; she had a bad feeling.

"Your child's button is missing."

Bai Jiaojiao remained calm and handed the button to the woman.

The woman bent down to take it, saying, "Thank you, sister."

Bai Jiaojiao carefully examined the couple. They looked weathered and worn, dressed in drab clothes with cuffs that had been patched several times. They were also careless, not even using fabric of the same color.

But the little yellow jackets worn by the children in their arms were clearly made in the supply and marketing cooperative, because they even had little pandas printed on them.

The little yellow jacket was somehow filthy, but it didn't really stand out when held in the arms of this couple.

Bai Jiaojiao touched the button just now and knew it was a good button.

Thinking about it, this family is really strange.

Bai Jiaojiao suddenly realized that the human trafficker had probably run into her. The child had been unconscious, so he must have been drugged.

Just now, they didn't want to put the child down because they were afraid he would be difficult to control if he woke up!

"They are human traffickers!"

Two voices rang out at the same time. The man and woman instinctively wanted to run, but then realized they were on a bus.

"What human traffickers?"

Everyone on the bus looked over.

The woman cried out, "What are you doing? You snatched my child and now you're trying to frame me! Give my child back!"

One is a pitiful woman, and the other is a fierce and menacing man. Anyone who sees this will inevitably side with the former.

"Your partner was just offering them their seat, and now they're calling them human traffickers. You can't be so vengeful, comrade."

"How did that couple become human traffickers?"

People started to speak up, and some even comforted the woman.

The man trafficker spoke up: "Everyone, please be the judge. What did my wife and I do wrong? This child had a high fever, and we brought him to the city for treatment. We don't mind being tired ourselves, as we didn't want to burden others. Who knew we would run into two unreasonable people who insist that we owe them a favor?"

Everyone felt even more sorry for the couple and couldn't help but look at Shen Heng. In addition, Shen Heng didn't look like a good person at all, so they said to him, "You should quickly return their child and apologize to them!"

"Are you fucking crazy?" Shen Heng didn't tolerate anyone's behavior. "If this were your child, and he was so sick he was unconscious, would you bring him home instead of leaving him in the hospital?"

If you said you came to the county town for medical treatment, why did you go home before your child got better?

"We don't have the money to treat him. Can't we just take him home and let him die?!" The man's eyes reddened as he spoke, looking utterly heartbroken.

"What illness does the child have? Which hospital did you go to? Since you went to the hospital, you must have identification documents issued by the brigade, right?"

Bai Jiaojiao was not swayed by the human traffickers; instead of proving who she was, she pressed them for answers.

Bai Jiaojiao's question made sense. The passenger then asked, "Show us your proof. If it's really for your child's medical treatment, we'll help you get justice!"

"Yes! How can you falsely accuse someone without any evidence?"

But the man was clearly feeling guilty at this moment.

The female trafficker cried out first, pleading, "Sister, please give us a way to live! This child has such a hard life. We've borrowed money from all sides to pay for his medical treatment, and we don't dare go home. We've sneaked into this county town. Please don't report us!"

To dare to abduct a child, one's brain must be incredibly sharp.

The woman knelt down before Bai Jiaojiao, crying and sobbing uncontrollably.

The passengers nearby couldn't make a judgment either.

"Alright, why don't you tell us which village you're from? There are so many people on the bus, some of them must have relatives or friends in your village. Tell us so we can check the information. "Exactly, they even said they were willing to pay for the medical expenses. If it were me, I could go through all the hundreds of people in our village one by one."

Seeing Shen Heng buying so many bags, the passengers assumed that his family must be wealthy, and that Bai Jiaojiao's offer to pay for medical expenses might not be just empty talk.
