When the seas become polluted, followed by acidic rain, massive storms, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, smog, extreme heat, blizzards, freezing cold, and various disasters kept occurring nonstop, mon...
On their way down the mountain, Junjue and Wan'er were moved to think of everyone and felt a deep sense of reluctance as they recalled their blessings.
They knew that this place had become their home in the city, a place filled with precious memories; however, many unknown challenges awaited them on their journey.
The two, along with a small mixed-breed dog, left the shelter where they had lived for more than four months.
As they descended the mountain, Junjue Wan'er looked back reluctantly at the refuge halfway up the mountain, her heart filled with emotion.
"It's so hard to leave all of a sudden, I really hate to leave here," Wan'er asked silently, tears welling up in her eyes.
Junjue gently took Wan'er's hand and said tenderly, "Yes, Wan'er, but all good things must come to an end. We have been living in this refuge for more than four months."
They are now safe for the time being, the shelter has been rebuilt, and we can return to our castle in the capital.
Wan'er looked up at Junjue with red eyes, the tears in her eyes gradually disappearing, replaced by a firm gaze: "Yes, you are right."
The thought that the family still lived there suddenly made me feel nauseous and disgusted.
I think it's better to leave sooner rather than later, because if I see them again, I'll be so disgusted that I won't be able to eat.
The resources are now deeper and deeper, and there are no renewable resources available. Hopefully, their lives will get better and better in the future.
They continued walking, the silhouette of the shelter growing ever more distant behind them.
“Wan’er is right. That family is truly disgusting. Letting them live in the future is punishment for them,” Junjue paused for a moment before continuing:
"This place is only temporarily safe, and various measures are incomplete. The weather is better now, but once the black smog passes in a few months, the daily temperature of 70 or 80 degrees Celsius will be so hot that it will suffocate you."
We must believe that leaving here was the right choice. We want to give our two little ones a better future.
Wan'er turned around, smiled at Junjue, her eyes filled with gratitude: "Junjue, thank you for always being there for me and helping me through this difficult time."
Now, I'm going to take these five black daylily buds and head towards a new life with you.
Junjue looked at Wan'er tenderly, tears welling up in his eyes. He had waited a long time for this kind of day, and now he could finally see her every day and be with her.
"Wan'er, don't be so polite. From now on, we're family. We must support each other and face the future together. I believe we can build a safe haven together."
"Yes! I believe you can definitely do it, because you have space."
"Even if we can't teleport, there shouldn't be too much danger, right?" Wan'er said confidently.
"Haha! Wan'er, are you so sure? But no matter what, protecting you is the most important thing in my life."
They continued on their way, with the five black cats and daylilies leaping and running around them, seemingly sensing new hope and anticipation.
Junjue and Wan'er beamed with smiles, confident that they would face any difficulties and challenges ahead with courage.
Wan'er glanced back at the shelter halfway up the mountain, silently praying, "May this place always be safe, and may those who remain there find their home soon."
They continued their journey, embarking on a new adventure. Though they reluctantly left the shelter, they carried with them hope and faith in the future.
They believe that no matter how many storms they weather, they will get through them together until they have a home that truly belongs to them.
It was already almost dark after dinner. As we walked out of the Qinzhou intersection, Junjue smiled and suggested:
"Wan'er, it's not safe to walk in the dark. Why don't we find a place to rest first, and then continue our journey tomorrow while searching for supplies?"
"Okay! That's the only way."
“Today we’re not staying with the people in the shelter, so from now on we can eat whatever we want openly and take a shower whenever we want. There are advantages to coming out earlier,” Junjue said as he led Wan’er.
"Oh right! I had forgotten. I haven't showered for days. Luckily, the temperature isn't above 20 degrees Celsius, or it would stink."
"Let's go quickly, we want to find a sheltered place to rest. I want to take a good shower tonight," Wan'er said excitedly.
"Okay!" In a few instants, Junjue, carrying two dogs in one arm and his girlfriend in the other, arrived at the rooftop of a tall building.
Looking at the cracked mud on the rooftop through his night-vision glasses, the Duke figured it had been flooded before, so spending the night outside was no different from being inside. He then took out a plank of wood to place on the ground and said with a smile:
"Wan'er, let me fetch you some water. Go take a shower over there first!"
"Okay!" Since she hadn't taken a shower yet, she couldn't wait to take one; it was really uncomfortable!
Junjue walked to a secluded spot around the corner, took out two buckets of warm water, and placed the shower gel and shampoo next to them.
"Wan'er, I've prepared everything for you. Go in and take a shower. Remember to call me if you need anything. I'll wash these two little ones first." Junjue took out a set of clothes and handed them to her, then turned and walked to the side.
"Okay! Thank you for your hard work." After saying that, Wan'er couldn't wait to take the clothes and went in to take a nice hot bath.
When Junjue saw Wan'er go in to take a shower, he took out two dog bowls, filled them with hot water, and threw the two little guys in.
I took out a bottle of dog shampoo from the room, rolled up my sleeves, and gave them a good wash.
These two little guys are often with them. They're still such small mixed-breed dogs, and they have to carry them in case of any emergency, so they need to be bathed and dewormed regularly.
The black fur looked somewhat messy, while the daylily fur was a bit cleaner.
Junjue poured the shower gel into his hand and gently rubbed Wu Hei's hair.
Wu Hei closed his eyes comfortably, as if enjoying a relaxing massage.
Seeing the other person's comfortable expression, Junjue's lips curled up slightly.
"Little rascal, you know how to enjoy life!" Wuhei heard the male owner's words, but his eyes remained closed, and he just wagged his tail happily.
Junjue patiently washed Wuhei once, changed the water again, and slowly applied the shampoo to the black dog's body, then rinsed it clean with warm water.
Wu Hei remained quiet throughout the bath, showing no sign of dissatisfaction, clearly thoroughly enjoying himself.
After you've finished drying one, wipe it dry with an absorbent towel and let it air dry on the side.
Then, the king turned to the daylily, which was already lying quietly in the bathtub, looking like it was thoroughly enjoying the moment.
