When the seas become polluted, followed by acidic rain, massive storms, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, smog, extreme heat, blizzards, freezing cold, and various disasters kept occurring nonstop, mon...
After returning to the air-raid shelter a thousand meters underground, Junjue and his teammates finally breathed a sigh of relief.
They had endured months of being chased and fought against disgusting aliens on the ground, leaving them physically and mentally exhausted.
Shangguan Wan'er, Di Zhantian, Dongfang Ao, Su Ye, Ye Yuan, Yue Ying, Yue Chi, and Chen Fan gathered together and complained for a while.
"These damn aliens are just too much! Their stench is unbearable," Su Ye muttered in dissatisfaction.
“That’s right, every time I escaped their pursuit, I felt short of breath,” Di Zhantian sighed, rubbing his aching neck.
"That battle was terrifying! If it weren't for the captain's timely intervention, we might not have made it back here at all," Yue Ying said, looking at the captain with gratitude.
The Duke shook his head and said succinctly, "This is just what I should do."
Su Ye scratched his head and said with a wry smile, "Right now, I just want to take a shower quickly and wash away the stench."
Yue Ying sighed and said, "These past few months have been absolutely disgusting. The smell of those alien monsters is unbearable."
Ye Yuan nodded and said elegantly, "Yes, in every fierce battle, we are forced to fight to the death with those terrifying creatures. This feeling is really terrible."
Dongfang Ao rubbed his aching shoulders and said with a wry smile, "Fortunately, we were able to persevere thanks to our unity and courage, otherwise we would have died at the hands of the alien beasts long ago."
Di Zhantian added with a solemn expression, "In this air-raid shelter a thousand meters underground, we are relatively safe."
However, we cannot let our guard down; the alien monsters probably won't give up so easily.
Dongfang Ao pondered for a moment, then looked up and asked, "Can our air-raid shelter really withstand those disgusting things?"
Many of them are able to burrow underground and are quite agile.
I heard that many underground air-raid shelters have fallen because of those burrowing alien beasts.
Junjue patted Dongfang Ao on the shoulder and comforted him, "Don't worry, this is currently the safest place in the world."
This is a top-of-the-line air-raid shelter! If it were so easily breached, it wouldn't be a top-of-the-line shelter.
"I hope so!" Yue Chi said wearily after hearing his captain's words.
Ye Yuan patted his belly and laughed, "Although the battle was tough, at least we still have enough food."
Shangguan Wan'er smiled and said, "Yes, we not only have enough food, but also sturdy air-raid shelters."
Despite the many difficulties and dangers we encountered, we ultimately succeeded.
We are stronger than before; this experience has made us braver.
Everyone nodded upon hearing the vice-captain's words.
In this safe underground kilometer, they were temporarily freed from the pressure of fighting the aliens.
However, they knew that the aliens would not give up easily.
They need to think about their next course of action and how to reclaim the blue planet that once belonged to them.
This team is full of hope; they believe that as long as they work together, they can overcome any difficulty.
"Brothers, I'm going back to take a shower, the liquid on my body really smells awful!" Su Ye said, and left with Yue Ying.
"This stuff really stinks, I'm off to make my escape." Exhausted, Ye Yuan hurried back to his room.
The others glanced down at the alien blood, which was covered in black, slimy splatter on their clothes and still stubbornly emitted a foul odor after so long.
Everyone nodded and wearily retreated to their respective rooms.
They were exhausted, yet uneasy. They knew the threat of the aliens hadn't completely disappeared; they had merely taken temporary refuge in underground caves.
In his own room, Junjue, his face full of undisguised desire, said to Wan'er beside him:
"Honey, do you want me to help you take a bath?"
Wan'er knew exactly what the other person was thinking. This guy was excessively aggressive in that area. They hadn't been together for months, and now that he was back, he practically wanted to pounce on her.
"You go ahead and wash! I don't need your help!" With that, she pushed Junjue into the bathroom and closed the door.
Junjue reluctantly stripped off his clothes; they were really too smelly. He threw them into his spatial storage and turned on the shower. Hot water sprayed out from the showerhead, quickly evaporating into a cloud of steam.
He stepped naked into the shower, letting the hot water wash over his tired body.
The water washed away the filth and stench from his body, leaving Junjue feeling refreshed. He closed his eyes, submerged his head in the water, and let his mind relax.
Recalling the horrific scenes of the past few months, Junjue couldn't help but shudder.
Their team was originally a group of superpowered individuals who fought zombies, but they ended up in a life-or-death struggle against aliens.
Junjue recalled the expressions on his teammates' faces; they had never seen such terrifying and desperate looks.
They faced death more than once, only managing to escape the terrifying aliens through luck and unity.
Junjue took a deep breath, then turned the tap to lower the water temperature.
He hadn't taken a bath in a long time, so he took one again and again until he was old enough that he no longer smelled disgusting before going out.
Seeing Wan'er in front of the oil painting, Junjue said gently, "Baby! I'm all washed up, you should go take a shower too!"
"good!"
Wan'er quickly went into the bathroom and washed her hair and took a shower.
As Junjue watched Wan'er leave, he was about to open the panel when the system's voice suddenly sounded.
[Ding—The mission of the Salvation System has been completed. Congratulations to the host for eliminating the alien egg in the deep pit.]
