Chapter 6: Making a Poisonous Oath!

"What kind of trick are you up to?" Zhou Ruyuan stopped him from drinking.

Shen Lanxi glanced at him calmly, then looked down at Bai Qingling kneeling on the ground.

"I'm giving you this one chance. If someone tries to stop you from drinking, there's nothing I can do!"

Bai Qingling tentatively raised her head, and seeing that no one stopped her, she slowly straightened her back and stood up from the ground.

"Qingling, don't drink it, I'll drink it for you!" Zhou Ruyuan snatched the wine glass and drank it all in one gulp.

Shen Lanxi searched the two people's faces twice with a blank expression, and her heart instantly fell into boundless darkness!

"What are you grabbing? Don't you want enough to drink? There's still another glass here!" She pushed another glass of wine on the table in front of Bai Qingling.

Shen Lanxi smiled: "From now on, either of you will be considered a fool if either of you steps into my place!"

Zhou Ruyuan said fiercely, "You said it yourself. Even if you beg the Empress Dowager and the Emperor, I will never step into your room again."

"What if you disobey?" Her sharp phoenix eyes fell on Bai Qingling.

Seeing that she remained unrepentant, Zhou Ruyuan threatened and intimidated his beloved with his eyes, and uttered vicious words: "If you disobey, may you be struck by lightning!"

Shen Lanxi's expression remained calm, as if she were handling a trivial matter. On the very first day of their marriage, she forced her husband to swear a solemn oath never to enter their bedroom again; no one could guess what she was really thinking.

The food has been served.

"You two remember the solemn oath you swore: if Bai Qingling ever steps into my room, may the prince be struck by lightning!"

Zhou Ruyuan understood; Shen Lanxi was trying to force him to back down. If he refused to enter the bridal chamber, she would use that as an excuse to complain to the palace, putting him in a difficult position.

Unfortunately, Shen Lanxi didn't understand him at all. He never accepted threats. As the commander-in-chief of the army, even if he fell, his backbone remained strong.

"Don't worry, I, Zhou Ruyuan, and Qingling will never set foot in your room. But if you deliberately send someone to call Qingling over, may you be struck by lightning and die a horrible death!" Zhou Ruyuan had long seen through Shen Lanxi. This cunning woman only wanted them to swear a poisonous oath; she could do whatever she wanted. Don't even think about it!

Zhou Ruyuan watched the woman who had started eating voraciously before they even left, and sneered inwardly. This woman was indeed cold-hearted, narrow-minded, and limited in her understanding of the inner quarters; she couldn't even compare to a single strand of Qingling's hair.

"Qingling, let's go!" Zhou Ruyuan and Bai Qingling left one after the other.

As she turned to leave the room, Bai Qingling casually glanced back out of the corner of her eye.

The woman was engrossed in her food, never expecting that the dignified Princess Lanxi would turn out to be such a naive and foolish girl. She hadn't even put in much effort today, and the princess had already fallen out with the prince. If it weren't for her illustrious family background, such a woman wouldn't even be worthy of carrying the prince's shoes.

Chunxue and Qiushuang stubbornly held their nerve and didn't show any weakness, but when only their young lady was left, the two of them immediately showed expressions of concern and anxiety.

"princess……"

Shen Lanxi interrupted them: "Call me Miss, not Princess!"

Chunxue and Qiushuang had just been discussing changing their address, but before they could even finish saying it, the young lady stopped them.

What exactly happened between Miss and the Prince? Was she forced into this by Bai Qingling?

“The Shen family is in trouble and will most likely be sentenced to exile. I need you to take this money and prepare the things you will need on your way to exile.” She handed the two of them several lists, each in two.

"After you've prepared your things, don't go back to the Prince's mansion. Go to the Fulai Inn at the city gate and wait for me!"

The two maids were terrified, trembling so much they almost dropped what they were holding!

"Miss, how is this possible? We were perfectly fine when we left yesterday!" Chunxue said with a sad and incredulous expression.

Shen Lanxi: "There's no time to explain to you. Zhou Ruyuan hasn't received the news yet, but it should be soon. Once he gets the news, you won't be able to leave even if you want to. Hurry up and get out!"
