"Smack!"

The box crashed heavily to the ground. The lounge floor wasn't carpeted; it was hard marble. The computer fell out of the box with a loud thud, making Julie's heart leap into her throat, and her face instantly paled.

"Oh dear... I've finally managed to stand firm. Getting old is just useless..."

Miao Tianxiang barely managed to stop herself. Seeing the computer on the ground, she sneered silently. Just as she expected, this little bitch was trying to pull the same trick again.

"Hey, where did this computer come from?" Miao Tianxiang bent down to pick up the computer, wanting to see if it was broken, but Madam Wu was faster and picked it up first.

"The princess is preparing for her major exams, and she's been taking her computer with her everywhere she goes to study lately," Madam Wu explained with a smile.

"No wonder Your Highness is a role model for young people. You're studying even during such a short time changing clothes. I'm so sorry. Let me check if the computer is broken." Miao Tianxiang praised her and reached for the computer.

Madam Wu took a few steps back, avoiding Miao Tianxiang's hand, "It's just a computer, Madam, you don't need to worry about it."

Miao Tianxiang said seriously, "How can that be? I broke the computer, so I have to compensate for it. How about this, I'll have someone buy an identical computer for Your Highness. We can't let it interfere with Your Highness's studies. I'll take this broken computer to get it repaired and return it to Your Highness."

"No need for all that trouble. It shouldn't be broken. My computer is very durable." Julie smiled somewhat reluctantly, inwardly cursing Miao Tianxiang for being as annoying as a leech. As for the computer, she wasn't worried because she had already sent the downloaded surveillance footage to her email, and she could watch it on another computer.

But she couldn't give the computer to the old woman; if the old woman discovered there were surveillance videos on the computer's hard drive, she wouldn't be able to explain herself.

"Let's see, it would be great if it wasn't broken." Miao Tianxiang persisted, determined to check the computer's condition.

Julie gave Madam Wu a subtle wink, and Madam Wu understood. She turned on the computer, but the screen was completely black and the power button didn't light up. Miao Tianxiang breathed a sigh of relief; it was broken.

"I'll have someone go buy a new computer right away. Look how clumsy I am," Miao Tianxiang said with an embarrassed smile.

Julie breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Miao Tianxiang didn't mention fixing the computer, and didn't refuse Miao Tianxiang's new computer anymore. "Madam is too kind."

"Of course, Your Highness, please get some rest. I'll have someone bring the new computer over in a bit. Do you need your old one repaired?"

“No need to fix it. This computer is three years old, and I was planning to replace it anyway.” Julie refused. There was a lot of important data on the old computer, and it couldn’t fall into the hands of outsiders. Besides, she knew how to fix it herself, so there was no need to ask someone else.

Miao Tianxiang smiled again, said goodbye and left. Before leaving, she gave the computer a meaningful look.

Mrs. Wu closed the door, took out a clean spare dress from the trunk, and helped Julie change into it.

"I'm worried that Miao Tianxiang has discovered something. Did you just delete the surveillance footage?" Mrs. Wu asked.

Julie had a terrible headache and gritted her teeth, saying, "I didn't have time. I'll go back and fix the computer before deleting it. Things are in chaos over there tonight. Mrs. Dylan must be too busy to check the surveillance footage. I'll go back to my room first!"

Although she said that, she felt heavy-hearted, with a very bad feeling, like the calm before a storm.

Mrs. Dylan had already retrieved the surveillance footage, all of which was from the beginning of the ball to the present, and downloaded it onto a disc. She then invited Miao Tianxiang to watch the footage together.
