Chapter 272 Why are you here?

The next morning, in the elevator.

The two young men, around thirty years old, scrutinized each other in silence.

The tall man stood straight, with sharp eyebrows, piercing eyes, and an imposing aura.

Standing in the small space, the slightly shorter man opposite him felt that the air was somewhat thin.

He moved to a corner and leaned against the stainless steel wall of the elevator lobby, only then did he feel safe and secure.

He turned his gaze away and casually bent down to tidy up the things he was carrying.

He glanced at the elevator buttons again, confirming that the person was going to the same floor as him, and a realization dawned on him.

No wonder I've only seen the lady of the house with her child coming and going in the two days since I moved in; it turns out the man of the house is away on a business trip.

With a "ding!" the elevator stopped, and the tall man, carrying a suitcase, strode out of the elevator first.

The shorter man's eyes followed the taller man until the man rang the doorbell of the apartment across the hall.

"It really is my neighbor across the hall!" Just before the elevator doors closed, I snapped out of my daze and hurriedly grabbed my things and got out of the elevator.

Just as he reached for his keys to open the door, he heard the door across the hall open, and the surprised voice of the woman across the hall came through:

"Oh? What brings you here? Are you on vacation?"

There was no reply from the man; instead, the door opposite slammed shut with a "bang."

Guan Xiaojiang's father was eavesdropping when the key fell to the ground.

As he picked up his keys and opened his front door, he muttered to himself, "The developer is really honest; the soundproofing of this door is pretty good!"

I went straight to the kitchen after opening the door, put the shrimp and crabs I bought into the refrigerator, washed my hands, and then hurried out of the house.

After locking the door, I subconsciously stopped and stood in the corridor, listening intently, but there was no sound.

He shook his head, walked a few steps to the elevator in disappointment, pressed the button, and while waiting for the elevator, he looked back at Yu Yang's front door.

The corridor was eerily quiet, except for the humming of the elevator.

With a "ding," the elevator arrived. He put his curiosity aside and stepped into the elevator.

He had to rush back to work; he hadn't finished his work yet. He was taking advantage of his break time to go home and deliver the seafood, so he had to hurry back to catch up on his work.

Meanwhile, Chen Hong was pinned down on the large sofa by Zhou Yi, kissing him so passionately that she had no time to speak.

She was pinned down by Zhou Yi, her hands held captive above her head by the man's single hand.

Zhou Yi held the back of her head with one hand, kissed her passionately, and held her lips in his mouth, greedily entwining his tongue with hers.

Chen Hong's body went limp from his kisses, her mind a blur of passion! Zhou Yi, equally restless, showered her ears and neck with delicate kisses...

Chen Hong felt numb all over, and a soft moan escaped her lips involuntarily. Just as Zhou Yi was about to lose control and picked her up to take her back to the bedroom,

She shuddered, instantly regaining her senses.

Trying to calm her racing heart, she loosened her arms from around Zhou Yi's neck, then hugged his strong waist, her voice hoarse:

"Not now, I need to pick up my child from school soon."

Zhou Yi embraced Chen Hong tightly, lowered his head and rested his chin on her fair and delicate shoulder, gently kissing her neck to calm his restless body.

"I'm sorry!" Zhou Yi's hoarse yet gentle voice whispered in my ear.

Chen Hong was puzzled and pushed away the eyes that were looking at him.

Why are you saying sorry?

Zhou Yi led her back to the sofa, then turned and put his arm around Chen Hong's shoulder.

"I know I was too hasty! My parents' trip to Rongcheng put a lot of pressure on you."

Before I came here, I went home and explained things to the elders in my family.

They have stated that they will no longer interfere with our interactions.

Whether we get married or fall in love is up to us.

Chen Hong, please don't be angry with me. I know it was my fault this time; I shouldn't have told my family about your home.

I promise I'll listen to you from now on, so please don't go so long without contacting me again!

I only found out you had brought the child to Jinan when I arrived in Rongcheng. I was terrified not to see you and your child!

Chen Hong: ...

Zhou Yi: "Why aren't you saying anything? Are you still angry with me?"

Chen Hong: ...

Zhou Yi cupped Chen Hong's face in his hands and gently kissed her, pleasing his woman.

Chen Hong pushed Zhou Yi away, "Wait, no, I'm not angry with you! What are you talking about?"

The Book of Changes: ...

The two looked at each other, both filled with confusion!

Zhou Yi: "No, you're really not angry with me?"

Chen Hong nodded: "I'm not angry! Why would I be angry with you?"

Zhou Yi: "You're not angry with me, so why haven't you sent me any messages for eleven days?"

"And you didn't even tell me about moving to Jinan, such a big thing! I went to Rongcheng only to find it empty, and had to ask the village chief to get your address in Jinan!"

Chen Hong rubbed her face with both hands and instead of answering, asked, "I sent you messages for three days in a row last time and you didn't reply. Did you go on another mission?"

Zhou Yi frowned and nodded: "Yes! Didn't we say that I'm not allowed to bring my personal cell phone on missions?"

Chen Hong: "So! I didn't receive a reply from you. Knowing you were on a mission, why would I send you a message?"

I'm still waiting for you to let me know when you're done with your mission! How am I supposed to know you've misunderstood?

Zhou Yi: "Then you moved to Jinan without even telling me. Aren't you afraid I'll get anxious because I can't find you?"

Chen Hong: "I'm just worried that if criminals get their hands on your phone and find out our address, we'll be retaliated against."
