Chapter 314 He was taken away by the police

That young man was also a tough guy. Without uttering a sound, he immediately took a few steps away from him, glanced at his injury, found it wasn't fatal, and then turned back to pick up his carrying pole and fight with the villagers.

When the villagers noticed that another person was injured, they all instinctively took a step back.

Taking advantage of the people's retreat, Gao Chengshui advanced instead, wielding a three-edged scraper and charging towards the clan chief.

The villagers around Chief Wang were terrified by his murderous aura and couldn't help but take a few steps back.

When the old clan chief saw Gao Chengshui rushing towards him, he retreated repeatedly, but after all, he was over seventy years old.

His movements weren't as nimble as the younger people's; he retreated too hastily, missed a step, and fell hard on his backside.

As Gao Chengshui's triangular scraper, gleaming with a cold light, was about to pierce the old clan chief's head, the villagers broke out in a cold sweat and uncontrollably shouted, "Murder! Gao Chengshui has murdered someone!"

The village chief was standing to the side of the clan chief, and behind the village chief stood Chen Hong.

She pulled the village chief back, stepped forward, dodged the three-edged scraper, reached out from the side of the clan chief and grabbed Gao Chengshui's right forearm. With a forceful twist and bend, a crisp "crack!" was heard as bone broke.

With a crisp clang, the three-edged scraper that terrified the villagers fell to the ground.

The shock jolted the frightened elder chieftain awake, as well as the villagers who were drenched in a cold sweat.

The old clan chief's three sons and four grandsons, their eyes bloodshot, swung their carrying poles and wooden sticks without hesitation and smashed them at Gao Chengshui.

"Fuck your mother, you actually dared to kill someone!"

"I'll beat you to death, you inhuman bastard! You don't even spare the elderly! You deserve to die!"

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you! You almost killed my father! Do you think we're dead?"

"Crack, crack, bang, bang, bang!" A flurry of blows from sticks ensued, and Chen Hong watched as Gao Chengshui was beaten to the ground by the villagers, his face covered in blood, his limbs bent and broken.

Within minutes, he quickly slumped into a ball like a rag doll. At first, he knew to protect his head with his hands, but later he didn't even hold his head anymore, looking completely at his mercy.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Chen Hong put away the triangular scraper and dragged the terrified and exhausted old clan chief out of the battle.

The villagers were now in a frenzy, because the Wang clan chief's children and grandchildren were terrified and wanted to retaliate against Gao Chengshui.

The villagers on the outskirts were confused and thought that Chief Wang had really been killed, so they also began to fight desperately!

Fueled by anger and hatred, their morale soared, and they wielded sticks and carrying poles with a whooshing sound, sending the people of Xiyu Village fleeing in terror.

It's impossible to tell who's trying to mediate, who's helping the fight, and who's backing them up. If someone isn't from this village, the only response is: fight!

Around this time, the village's fishing boats also began returning to port. A quick look from the boats revealed that a fight had broken out between villagers and others.

These people were no slouch either. They quickly tied up the ropes, grabbed whatever they liked, whether it was a harpoon or a hook rod, and jumped off the boat to join the battle before it had even come to a complete stop. They were all incredibly fierce!

Chaos reigned at the pier, with tourists, fishmongers, and individual shoppers keeping their distance to watch the spectacle.

Some of the bolder ones even record videos and take photos!

Chen Hong tugged at the village chief's sleeve. "Uncle, shouldn't we stop this? Don't let them really kill him!"

Before the village chief could reply, Chief Wang said in a grim tone, "Ignore them, it's best to kill them! These are two vicious wolves; leaving them alive will cause endless trouble!"

Chen Hong couldn't help but smirk, thinking to herself: This Gao Chengshui is so blind, trying to kill someone with a voice with just one stab, isn't he just courting death?

Well! As a divorced woman from out of town with her household registration in the village, I don't really have much of a say.

This matter concerns the future interests of the village. The final outcome of this brawl, whether it results in injuries or deaths, is for the village to establish its authority, and has little to do with her.

Of the six families in the village—Wang, Yu, Liu, Yang, Lu, and Zhang—only her son, Yu Yang, still had some connections with the village; she, however, remained detached from them.

In the eyes of the villagers, she was not one of them, and they didn't know when she would remarry and leave.

Because of her donations, helping the village chief come up with ideas, and opening a hotel, she became associated with the village chief's family and several other families, which is why the village chief wanted to involve her in everything.

Although both villages wanted to resolve the matter privately, it ultimately alarmed the authorities.

The onlookers were so enthusiastic that they didn't forget to call the police while enjoying the spectacle.

When the police arrived at the scene, more than a dozen injured villagers were lying haphazardly on the ground.

However, they were all from Xiyu Village. The injured from Yujia Village had already been taken to the hospital for treatment by Xiaofeng and his men.

Four vehicles were dispatched from Yujia Village, including a pickup truck and an electric tricycle belonging to Chen Hong's family, and more than a dozen people were injured.

The police took away several village officials and clan leaders from Yujia Village, leaving only half of the people in Xiyu Village still standing.

They were also taken away by the police, but they had to go to the hospital for treatment first, and then go to the police station for investigation.

After the police left the scene and took photos, the villagers of Yujia Village spontaneously fetched water to wash the dock.

Life goes on, and the fish catch must continue to be sold. Looking at the dock that has returned to its former order, Chen Hong couldn't help but think to herself that ordinary people are the most resilient group.

No matter what you experience in life, you will always have to start working hard to survive again. This is all because life forces you to!

When Chen Hong returned home, the tourists were still gathered in the restaurant, and even after they finished eating, most of them had not gone back to their rooms.

They were discussing the village-to-village brawl that had taken place at the dock.

Upon seeing Chen Hong return, Aunt Guo and Uncle Erhu and the others came to greet her. Aunt Guo looked Chen Hong up and down.
