Just as the steward hurriedly left the Lu residence, several spies from the Investigation Bureau emerged from around the corner not far away.

Watching the butler leave, a lean man said, "Brother, he went in and out three times in less than an hour. Something must have happened!"

"You all stay here and keep watch. I'll take some men and go check it out!"

After giving an order, the leader left two people to keep watch, then led the other two to follow the steward silently.

Before long, the steward of the Lu family came to a courtyard after wandering around. Finding no one around, he knocked on the door and went inside.
