Sheli led 6,500 Northern Wuhuan soldiers and, after a half-day's march, arrived at an open space three miles away from the mountain pass.

At this moment, Huangfu Song was leading his Han army, disguised as herdsmen, to build a camp, while Nanlou and Qiuliju were leading 5,000 soldiers from the Southern Wuhuan to guard the outer perimeter and prevent the relics from being damaged.

Before long, Sheli and 6,500 soldiers of the Northern Wuhuan appeared in the sight of Nanlou, Qiuliju and others.

Qiu Liju kept calculating the distance between himself and the enemy.

When the Northern Wuhuan soldiers charged within four hundred paces of him, Qiuliju shouted, and the Southern Wuhuan soldiers brought him taut bowstrings.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!"

A rain of five thousand arrows, whistling as they hurtled down from above, covered the northern Wuhuan who were charging at the forefront.

"Raise your shields!!"

Upon seeing this, a chieftain of the Northern Wuhuan hurriedly shouted, and his soldiers raised their horse shields to protect their chests or heads.
