"Professor, who assigned them together? Won't this affect the research progress?"

Most researchers work in pairs and cooperate seamlessly; it's rare to see them arguing like this.

Lin Chuchu asked the old professor in a low voice.

The old professor looked up at the two of them and said, "They're like a pair of sworn enemies. They've been bickering since the first time they met, and they can argue about anything."

"Once we argued about whether to put salt or chili in our tofu pudding."

The old professor was still speechless when he thought about the scene.

Researchers are supposed to be science guys, so they should be pretty calm, but these two guys are a bit odd.

One is outgoing and always likes to argue, while the other is taciturn, but the things he says can make you furious.

Despite their contrasting personalities, it's unbelievable that they could actually argue.

The two spoke in hushed tones, but the calm young researcher still glanced at them.

Lin Chuchu immediately asked anxiously, "Teacher, they didn't hear us, did they?"

The old professor shrugged indifferently. "So what if they hear it? They can only argue with each other; they can ignore everyone else."

Even so, Lin Chuchu still felt uneasy, as if she had been caught red-handed talking badly.

Seeing that the little monkey opposite him wasn't responding, Researcher Tian called out, "Hey, little monkey, what are you looking at?"

He waved his hand in front of the other person's face, and Researcher Hou rolled his eyes at him. "I told you my name isn't Little Monkey, please call me Researcher Hou."

He gestured towards Lin Chuchu, who was busy at work, and said, "A new young researcher, and she's a woman."

Researcher Tian looked over unexpectedly. His first reaction was, "Hmm, she's very pretty." His second reaction was to look at Lin Chuchu's black braids. "Will she be able to keep that long, black hair?"

After all, research is one of the professions most prone to causing baldness.

Most of the people in this lab are older, and the youngest of the others are at least five years older than them.

Suddenly seeing someone their own age successfully piqued the curiosity of both of them.

Researcher Tian curiously approached Lin Chuchu. "Hello, my surname is Tian. The monkey next to you is surnamed Hou. What's your name? When did you arrive?"

Lin Chuchu's lips twitched violently. This guy was too annoying. No wonder Little Monkey, no, Researcher Hou, wanted to argue with him.

"Hello, my name is Lin Chuchu, and I'm your assistant who just arrived a few days ago."

"Assistant, huh? So you don't have a research direction? Come join us, the things we research are the most interesting."

Researcher Tian looked at Lin Chuchu expectantly, hoping she could join his team.

Researcher Hou put his arm around the other person's neck, and while the other person rolled their eyes, he turned to Lin Chuchu and said.

"Don't worry about him, Comrade Lin. Just listen to your teachers. He's just making a fool of himself."

Researcher Tian was displeased. "Ahem... Let go. I'm not being silly. My professors all say that my research direction is ten years ahead of Chinese thought."

Researcher Hou gave him a disdainful look. "Your teacher means that your research direction is not suitable for the present, and he wants you to do something more practical."

A nutrient solution for hydroponics is not even fully utilized in China yet, so why would we need to research hydroponics cultivation techniques?

"Fine, little monkey, you look down on my research direction? Let me tell you, ten years from now, I will definitely develop it and make hydroponics work in areas with scarce land."

"Land scarcity? That would mean glaciers and oceans. When you establish camps in the North and South Poles, that's the perfect time for you to go and study them."

The two continued their verbal sparring, then returned to their research on machine tools.

Hearing the chattering sounds, Lin Chuchu felt a little less stressed from the intense work.

No wonder the other researchers didn't scold them for their bickering; their banter was quite relaxing.

At noon, Lin Chuchu went to eat. After getting her food, the two men sat opposite her.

"Comrade Lin, what brings you to the research lab? Aren't you afraid of losing all your hair?"

Researcher Tian started his sarcastic mode again.

Lin Chuchu was taken aback, unconsciously touching her braided hair, and said hesitantly, "I'm just an assistant, I won't lose all my hair."

She seemed to see several bald heads and men with receding hairlines, and she was the only woman in the entire research lab. What if... her hair also went out?

Seeing Lin Chuchu's worried expression, Researcher Hou immediately reassured her, "Don't worry, I know many female researchers, and their hair is all perfectly fine."

One thing that wasn't mentioned is that the female researchers generally had receding hairlines.

Instead of comforting Lin Chuchu, their words only made her more worried.

The next day, some parts were placed in the research room, all prepared by those two guys for the machine tool.

Lin Chuchu would often join the two of them to help out. Seeing that Lin Chuchu was listening attentively, Researcher Tian would explain the technical knowledge to her so that she could fully understand it.

Seeing Lin Chuchu's puzzled expression, he would carefully explain it again.

Researcher Hou provided supplementary information. The other party explained things in detail, and Lin Chuchu wasn't stupid; she could understand it after two or three explanations.
