In her previous life, Lin Chuchu was framed by her aunt and uncle, lost her job, and spent her entire life working as their family's servant.
However, her father was a martyr, and her mot...
The next morning, Lin Chuchu had nothing to do, so she was helping her grandmother dry green beans in the yard.
Everyone else was helping out, but Qin wandered off somewhere.
The habit he developed over the years has led him to inquire about information whenever he returns to a place, regardless of whether it is useful or not, and then filter out the information that is useful to him.
Suddenly, Captain Qin walked in from outside, his steps quick and his face showing some anxiety.
"You two hurry up and come with me. Researcher Hou and Researcher Tian's partners are about to give birth and are currently at our military hospital."
Lin Chuchu jumped to her feet. "What's going on? How come those two are here together? Aren't there supposed to be a time gap between them?"
Team Leader Qin shook his head. "I don't know how we ended up together. It's probably fate. Luckily, the two of us men were home."
"Stop talking now, let's go quickly, you two go and help out."
Lin Chuchu agreed and quickly returned to her room to find the little clothes and blankets her mother had made for the two children, as well as a lot of diapers.
As Lin Chuchu stepped out of the room, she said to Aunt Li.
"Aunt Li, we have a few old hens at home. Could you make two servings of chicken soup for them? Also, could you see if any other households have hens and buy some hens and eggs?"
"Oh, right, and brown sugar too. We don't have much brown sugar at home. See if other families have some."
Du Lingling is alright because her mother-in-law came to take care of her a month ago.
However, the only person Hou was working with was her grandmother. Hou had no parents, and only her grandmother was left at home. She was very old and had difficulty walking, so she couldn't help much.
I don't know why Researcher Hou's mother-in-law didn't come to be with him during his delivery and postpartum period.
Lin Chuchu thought that since Researcher Hou and his wife were young, they probably wouldn't have thought of everything. She wanted to send them some things.
Grandma smiled and said, "Don't worry, I've already thought of that. If we need hens for this, we can get a dozen or so right away."
"However, two pregnant women are definitely not enough. I'll go ask them for more. I'll go to the convenience store in a bit to see if they have any pig's trotters. Pig's trotters and soybean soup is the best way to promote lactation."
The Mu family keeps a close eye on Lin Chuchu and her colleagues, since some of the children's families are not around, so they inevitably have to take care of them.
Lin Chuchu quickly thanked her grandmother and hurriedly left the family compound.
The group arrived at the military hospital, which was now in complete chaos.
The two pregnant women had already been taken inside to give birth, while the two expectant fathers were extremely worried, pacing anxiously outside the operating room.
Tian's mother and Hou's grandmother gently comforted her from the side.
Their eyes lit up when they saw Lin Chuchu approaching.
Lin Chuchu handed the two bags to Tian's mother and Hou's grandmother.
“Auntie and Grandma, these are things my family prepared for them. Some are new, and some are things my two children used. They are very clean. Please see if you can use them. I hope you won’t mind.”
The two were very moved and held Lin Chuchu's hands, thanking her repeatedly.
"How could we possibly complain about Chuchu? We're more than grateful. We really didn't prepare enough."
Mother Tian said gratefully.
Grandma Hou, with tears in her eyes, said, "Yes, I'm old and can't think things through. They're both too young and have no experience in childbirth. Luckily, you colleagues helped us, otherwise we might have panicked."
As they talked, their eyes remained fixed on the operating room door, listening to the sounds inside, and all they could do was pray that the two would be safe and sound.
"Comrade Lin, are Lingling and the others in danger?"
Researcher Tian was filled with tension and fear. People had told them before that childbirth is like walking through the gates of hell for women, and that complications such as difficult labor or severe bleeding could result in the death of both mother and child.
He was now filled with worry, his mind a complete mess, and all he hoped for was a word of comfort from Lin Chuchu.
Lin Chuchu nodded, "They'll definitely be fine. Both of my sisters exercise regularly and are treated by doctors. They're definitely not in any danger."
These words comforted Researcher Tian and even made Researcher Hou, who was standing next to him, feel more energetic.
Tian's mother glanced at her son and then said with disdain.
“You’re really useless. If you panic now, Lingling will be even more panicked and helpless in the operating room.”
Actually, Tian's mother was also full of worries, but she couldn't panic. If she panicked, her two children would have no one to take care of them.
Both women had natural births, and it was their first pregnancy, so the delivery process took a relatively long time.
The first child wasn't born until 3 p.m.
Hearing the child cry, everyone's eyes were fixed on the operating room door.
Researcher Tian muttered to himself, "I don't even know if the gentleman is my son or my godson. Oh dear, he's so slow. I wonder when he'll be out."
He wasn't actually sexist; it was just that his wife kept talking about having a son, saying that based on her woman's intuition, this baby was definitely a son.
He didn't know if a woman's intuition was accurate, but in order to appease his wife, he followed suit and talked about their son.
Du Lingling wanted a son as her first child, and then a daughter. The son would be the older brother and could take care of his younger sister in the future.
Researcher Hou ignored Researcher Tian's rambling; he was extremely nervous and hoped his wife would be safe and sound.
He doesn't care what it is; even if it's just an egg, he'll cherish it.
Before the first child was even delivered, the second child, as if in a race, also let out a loud cry.
