Reborn in the 70s as an Educated Youth

In her previous life, Lin Chuchu was framed by her aunt and uncle, lost her job, and spent her entire life working as their family's servant.

However, her father was a martyr, and her mot...

Chapter 34 Rescue

Lin Chuchu greeted everyone with a generous smile, "Hello, please come to our home sometime, I'll cook you something delicious."

Lin Chuchu's cooking skills are quite good, but she doesn't have many opportunities to show them off.

Everyone's eyes lit up. "Okay, sister-in-law, we'll definitely go when we have time."

Although Mu Chen was unwilling to trouble his wife, he was still happy to have this opportunity to demonstrate Zhu Quan's authority.

After saying goodbye to everyone, the two got the car, and Mu Chen carried her back home.

Lin Chuchu also told Mu Chen about what happened to her that day.

"Our class monitor is awful. She gossips like a woman. Luckily, she has people from the aerospace research department backing her up. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to hold my head up in school."

The bicycle suddenly stopped, and Lin Chuchu noticed Mu Chen's gloomy expression. She quickly spoke up to comfort him.

"Don't worry, this matter has been resolved, and I won't be affected."

Mu Chen took a deep breath. "Chu Chu, if anything happens next time, you must tell me. I can support you."

Lin Chuchu nodded happily, "Yes, I'll definitely tell you next time."

Mu Chen remained silent, secretly resolving to pay more attention to Chu Chu.

"By the way, who was the girl who came out with you earlier and was talking to you? You two seemed to know each other quite well."

Lin Chuchu said casually.

Mu Chen suddenly laughed, "What? Are you jealous?"

Lin Chuchu nodded, then reached out and pinched his waist. "Of course I'm jealous. You're mine. Stay away from other women, or I'll have Mom deal with you."

Mu Chen smiled, finding Chu Chu's petulance quite endearing.

"She's our teacher's child, a really annoying person, like she can't understand anything."

He's emphasized it several times: he's married, and his partner is no worse than them, but that woman keeps trying to get close to him.

Mu Chen whispered to Chu Chu, "If you finish school early in the future, can you come pick me up then?"

He likes when his sovereignty is asserted.

"good!"

She'd naturally be willing to spend more time together with her partner.

Neither of them mentioned what happened today, because it had been resolved.

The squad leader was locked up for a week. When he was released, he had a full beard and his eyes were gloomy.

She looked much more haggard.

Lin Chuchu didn't care about his attitude towards her. Others would avoid her when they saw her, and they didn't dare to talk to her.

Lin Chuchu didn't care about them. Right now, she just wanted them to be ordinary classmates and didn't want to have too much contact with them.

With the Lunar New Year just around the corner, school is finally on holiday.

With many people at home during the Spring Festival, Lin Chuchu originally wanted to go shopping for New Year's goods with Mu Chen, but her mother disagreed and even told the two of them to go out and play, see Tiananmen Square, visit the Forbidden City, and eat some good food.

Looking at the endless stream of people, Lin Chuchu thought it over and decided to give up. She found a less crowded tourist spot and strolled around for a while.

There were quite a few people dancing in the square, carrying radios and wearing brightly colored floral shirts, performing a convulsive dance amidst the stares of onlookers who thought they were crazy.

Lin Chuchu and Mu Chen held their sodas and watched for a while, but still didn't have the courage to go on stage and dance.

They were afraid of bringing shame to the soldiers.

Seeing that it was almost time, the two of them started to walk back.

"Stop thief! Stop thief!"

A woman's cries came from behind.

Lin Chuchu glanced at Mu Chen, indicating that his third-class merit award had arrived.

Mu Chen handed me the small bag and then ran ahead to chase after me.

Lin Chuchu had a bad feeling and ran ahead as well.

As she turned the corner, Lin Chuchu looked back and saw a man and a woman stomping their feet in anger where she had been standing.

One of them was holding a handkerchief. Lin Chuchu's heart skipped a beat; had they run into a gang?

The person looking for her might be a human trafficker.

The thief was very fast, but Mu Chen was even faster.

The thief turned around and said with a grin, "Hey, not bad, you're a trained fighter."

Mu Chen's face turned ashen; he hadn't expected thieves to be so brazen these days.

He quickened his pace and kicked the man away. The thief cried out in pain and, taking advantage of Mu Chen's inattention, pulled out a small knife from his pocket.

"Go to hell!"

As he spoke, he viciously lunged at Mu Chen.

Before Mu Chen could react, a brick suddenly came down, knocking the thief unconscious.

Mu Chen tied the thief's hands. "Chu Chu, why did you come here? It's too dangerous."

Lin Chuchu said, "I was worried about you, and I felt something was wrong. When I ran over, there were two people over there, one of whom was holding a handkerchief. I was afraid they were a gang."

The thief was using this as a cover; he was actually a human trafficker.

Mu Chen felt a surge of fear. "From now on, you must never leave my sight when we're out."

Lin Chuchu nodded.

The two men took the thief to the police station and shared their suspicions.

Mu Chen showed his student ID from the Public Security University, which made the police officers at the local station take him seriously. They said they would investigate him thoroughly.

As Lin Chuchu left the police station, she saw two women crying together, who had come to report that their child was missing.

With the Lunar New Year approaching, there is an increase in human traffickers and thieves. We hope everyone will be vigilant.

Back home, the family was still shaken. Luckily, Chuchu was vigilant, otherwise she would have been drugged and taken away by human traffickers.

This was the first year after Lin Chuchu got married. The Mu family was nice, and the relatives were nice too. Her maternal uncle's family even gave Lin Chuchu a red envelope.

After the New Year, there would still be a period of school before Mu Chen took Lin Chuchu to find Liu Rong.

Liu Rong's family also lived in Beijing. His father was a university professor and his mother was a factory worker. In that turbulent era, they were lucky enough to escape being sent to the countryside, but their son was inevitably sent to the countryside as an educated youth.
