In her previous life, Lin Chuchu was framed by her aunt and uncle, lost her job, and spent her entire life working as their family's servant.
However, her father was a martyr, and her mot...
Mother Mu returned to her son's house with her spoils and said goodbye to the elderly women who had helped her.
Upon entering the house, I saw Lin Chuchu cooking in the kitchen.
After putting the things down, Mu's mother immediately came over to help. "Oh dear, you're pregnant now, so don't bother working in the kitchen. What do you want to eat? Mom will make it for you."
Lin Chuchu wiped the sweat from her forehead. "Mom, you haven't eaten yet, have you? Let's eat something. I'm fine. The doctor said I need to exercise regularly."
"Then take a break and wander around the yard during the day."
Mother Mu nodded at the items and said, "That's compensation I got for you. I'll make you chicken soup tomorrow."
Lin Chuchu looked at Mu's mother with admiration, "Mom, you are so amazing. I wish I were as amazing as you."
Mother Mu couldn't suppress a light cough as she spoke.
"Hehe, I'm really strong. Back when your grandma and the others were sent to the countryside, everyone wanted to bully us. There was nothing I could do but fight back."
"Don't follow my example. You're doing great. How can a college student get into fights?"
The two chatted and laughed as they cooked a meal: scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stir-fried shredded pork with green peppers, egg drop soup, and rice. The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law ate and chatted until very late.
Mu's mother wouldn't let her wash the dishes, so she had no choice but to sit at the table and eat grapes.
"Chuchu, I've found a house I like. It's in a great location and has a large area, but the owner doesn't want to rent it out; they only want to sell it."
"I've made some money recently, so why don't we buy the shop?"
There is currently no property certificate for the property. If you want to buy or sell it, you will need to sign a sales agreement.
"Are you clear about the property? Will there be any problems later?"
Lin Chuchu pondered for a moment and then asked.
"That's exactly what I wanted to tell you."
“The house does belong to the owner, but he took in a family a few years ago, and now they live there and refuse to leave no matter what.”
"They occupied the second floor, and even the neighborhood committee and the police couldn't help them."
Mother Mu was also worried, but she had indeed set her sights on that position.
Lin Chuchu pondered for a moment, then said, "Mom, tell me about that family."
“That family has a lot of people. The couple works in the factory and earns wages. They have elderly parents and six children. They live in a cramped place, but they refuse to move to the staff dormitory.”
How big is the dormitory? How can such a large family squeeze in?
"Actually, the neighborhood committee helped them find a house, and the price was cheap. Together with the staff dormitory, it's enough for them to live in."
"But they knew the homeowner wanted to sell the house for a high price, so they thought they could make a profit off it. After all, they'd lived there for so many years, why shouldn't they get a share of the house?"
Mother Mu knew perfectly well what was going on and utterly despised this family; it was nothing short of robbery.
Lin Chuchu pondered for a moment, "Mom, we've bought this house. Tomorrow you go with the homeowner to complete the sales contract. All procedures must be followed; we can't leave any evidence against us."
"Chuchu, I want to transfer the house to you...you..."
Lin Chuchu shook her head. "Mom, listen to me, buy it in your name."
"As for the remaining family, I'll figure something out."
At this point, the more formal the methods used to drive a family away, the more the other party will believe that they have their lifeline in their hands.
The transfer of ownership was completed the next day, and then Mu's mother rented the house to a group of people.
Early in the morning, the clanging and banging noises woke up the upstairs residents.
They had already been studying late last night, and the two sisters opened the window and started cursing.
"Why are you making so much noise? Can't a person get any sleep?"
Upon seeing that it was a girl, the people downstairs looked up and arrogantly whistled.
"Oh, it's a little girl. We rented the first floor, so please bear with us. We'll stop arguing in a few days."
The young man with dyed yellow hair said with a grin.
The girl blushed. "You pervert, who's your sister?"
I slammed the door shut and then remembered what the other person had said.
"Oh no! Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, the house has been rented out!"
The girl rushed out of the room in a panic. The house had been rented out. Where would her family live?
The middle-aged man was eating when he heard this and was stunned. "Impossible. With us here, who would want to rent a house?"
"Dad, I'm telling the truth. There are a lot of people downstairs, and they're all men."
The middle-aged man put down his chopsticks and immediately went to the window, his face extremely gloomy.
"Okay, I'll go find Old Chen right now."
Before noon, he returned empty-handed because Old Chen's family had moved away.
When I came back, I saw a group of young people doing woodworking.
He was singing a song.
His wife is upstairs arguing with them.
"Could you please keep your voices down? My child is studying, and my child is going to take the college entrance exam."
The blond-haired man was very polite and immediately nodded in apology, "Auntie, you're right, I'll ask them to keep their voices down."
As he spoke, he reprimanded everyone. His voice was quiet for a moment, but soon it grew louder again. After all, he was a carpenter, and he couldn't control some of his noise.
The middle-aged woman was furious, clutching her chest.
"Honey, can't you think of a solution? They're so noisy, I can't sleep at night."
The middle-aged man shook his head. "Do you think I don't want to? I went to the neighborhood committee to report the situation, but they said they couldn't do anything about it. They signed a rental contract, and besides, they're just trying to make a living. There's no way to ask them to keep their voices down."
"If you push me too far, I'll sue you for disturbing the peace. I don't believe the people around here can tolerate it."
The middle-aged woman said through gritted teeth.
