Chapter 322 An Accidental Encounter with Hua Hua

Dogs have different temperaments. When given meat, some will eat it right there, while others will take it to the side to eat.

Sheng Xiping sat in front of Zhaocai and Wangfu, watching the two puppies eat meat with great joy.

These two little guys are good. Even though they've only been up the mountain a few times, they already know how to bite prey. With proper training, they'll both be excellent hunting dogs in the future.

"Eat up, eat more, so you can grow up quickly."

While eating, Wangcai looked up at Sheng Xiping twice, and Sheng Xiping reached out and patted Wangcai's head.

With so many dogs, in addition to the meat, each dog was given two pieces of meat, and that was how they were finally fed.

Sheng Xiping realized it was getting late, so he hurried back to the forest farm. He could take the pig to the Chen family to be processed and prepare for tomorrow's banquet.

So the three of them dragged their baskets back and met up with Zhang Zhijun and Pan Fusheng, and then headed back to the forest farm.

At that moment, they suddenly heard a "cough," and everyone felt their scalps tingle.

"Xiping, is that the sound of the black bear? In the dead of winter, shouldn't the black bear be holed up in the granary?"

Fortunately, these people often went into the mountains to hunt, and they were used to the cries of the black bear, so they weren't too afraid, just found it strange.

"Yes, at this time of year, black bears should be hibernating in their granaries. Could someone be killing granaries nearby?"

Sheng Xiping thought about it and realized that it was very likely that someone had discovered the Black Bear Warehouse and was probably killing people there.

"Let's go, it's none of our business, let's not get involved." There are quite a few hunters in Dajianchang, who knows who might be there, so they shouldn't be curious.

"Roar..." Just as Sheng Xiping finished speaking, another sound came from the other end.

At this sound, all the dogs except for Xiao Huang, Zhao Cai, and Wang Fu tucked their tails between their legs.

Upon hearing that noise, Sheng Xiping's expression changed immediately.

Little Yellow, barking, ran towards the source of the sound, with Zhao Cai and Wang Fu following behind.

"Xiping, what's going on? Is there a tiger?"

Wang Jianshe and the others turned pale. That roar was clearly that of a tiger. There were tigers around.

"It's Huahua, it must be it." Sheng Xiping didn't bother to explain anymore and took off running in the direction where the tiger had roared.

Although that tiger's roar just now had the imposing aura of the king of beasts that shook the mountains and forests, the voice was still a bit immature.

Having spent so much time with Hua Hua, how could Sheng Xiping not recognize Hua Hua's voice?

Even Xiao Huang and Zhao Cai recognized Hua Hua's voice, which is why they rushed over there.

"Xiping, don't be impulsive. That might not be Huahua. If we're wrong, you could be in danger if you go there."

Wang Jianshe reached out to stop Sheng Xiping. What a joke! If it wasn't Hua Hua, wouldn't Sheng Xiping be committing suicide by going over there?

"Jianshe, don't stop me. Huahua is probably fighting with Heixiazi. It's too small, I'm afraid it's in danger."

Sheng Xiping brushed Wang Jianshe's hand away and quickly left.

The hunting dogs protected their master, and even though Erlang Shen, the leopard, and the others were afraid, they still followed after their master as soon as he left.

Daqing and Erqing, though close to Sheng Xiping, knew he wasn't their master, so they didn't follow.

Seeing this, Wang Jianshe ordered Pan Fusheng and Zhang Zhijun to lead the remaining dogs to guard the place, while he and Gao Haining followed with their guns.

If it's not Hua Hua over there, the three of them, with three guns and a dog, should still have a fighting chance.

Xiao Huang and Zhao Cai Wang Fu led the way, with Sheng Xiping, Wang Jianshe, and Gao Haining following closely behind.

Every now and then, a black bear's roar could be heard from ahead, but no more tiger roars. Sheng Xiping was getting impatient and walked faster and faster.

After crossing a hill, below lies a clear, lush forest.

Right now, in this forest, a black bear and a spotted tiger are fighting.

The tiger didn't look very big, probably not yet an adult, but it was very agile in its dodging and leaping, and its movements were quite skillful.

If the bear had fattened up in the fall, it would have weighed around 300 jin (150 kg), but after burning through a lot of fat over the winter, it only looks to weigh around 200 jin (100 catties) now, and its size isn't very big.

Don't be fooled by how capable the black bear is when it encounters a dog. If it were to face a fully grown Siberian tiger, its size wouldn't be enough for the mountain king to swat it with two paws.

Fortunately, what we encountered today was a tiger cub that hadn't yet reached adulthood, so at least the black bear was able to put up a fight.

Even so, the black bear had several wounds on its body from the tiger's large claws.

Xiao Huang and Zhao Cai Wang Fu ran in the lead. When they saw a bear and a tiger fighting in the distance, Xiao Huang immediately became angry and charged forward with a howl.

Logically speaking, Xiao Huang is not the lead dog, but a helper dog. When hunting in the mountains, the lead dog has to rush over and bite first, and only then will the helper dogs know to go forward and bite the prey.

But for some reason today, Little Yellow rushed over with Zhaocai and Wangfu before the lead dog even arrived.

Three dogs approached and barked as they pounced on the black bear. Little Yellow was the first to bite the bear's hind leg.

The black bear, in pain, turned around and swung its claws at the little yellow dog.

Little Huang had just finished a battle and had just eaten meat, so he wasn't as quick as before. He was a little slow to dodge, and his butt was scratched by the black bear's paw, leaving three bloody marks.

Little Huang screamed in pain and hid to the side.

Little Huang's injury was no big deal; Zhao Cai and Wang Fu both rushed towards it.

Both of these were half-grown dogs and not very strong in combat. As soon as they met, the black bear swatted them away with two paws.
