Chapter 363 Escort

Sheng Xiping was unaware of the story behind it all, assuming that Hua Hua might be nearby and had just happened to come to his rescue.

"Hua Hua is amazing, you're getting better and better! You can even scare away a pack of wolves." Sheng Xiping patted Hua Hua's head, praising her in various ways.

Hua Hua couldn't understand Sheng Xiping's flattery, but it was exceptionally affectionate towards him. So it nudged Sheng Xiping with its big head, rubbing against him and making purring noises.

This display of power left Wang Jianshe and the others standing nearby stunned.

Back then, Huahua was still young and didn't feel scared.

With Hua Hua's current figure, it's strange that she still comes to Sheng Xiping to act coquettishly.

Everyone was afraid that Hua Hua might suddenly turn on them and devour Sheng Xiping with her gaping maw.

"Hey, Xiping, let's hurry back. We shouldn't be far from Haining and the others," Wang Jianshe said cautiously, offering a reminder.

"Yes, we should hurry back." Sheng Xiping nodded.

"Huahua, do you want to come home with me? My son has been looking for you for days since you left last time."

Sheng Xiping rubbed Hua Hua's big head and asked.

What response could Hua Hua possibly give Sheng Xiping? She just nuzzled against him.

Then it lowered its head and nudged the wolf it had just picked up forward, as if to say it was being given to Sheng Xiping.

After that, Hua Hua bit Sheng Xiping's collar and pulled him back the way they had come.

Sheng Xiping found it strange and tried to break free. "Huahua, I have to go back quickly. Xi'an and the others are waiting."

"They might have heard those two shouts you just made; they're probably terrified right now."

But Hua Hua was far too strong for Sheng Xiping to break free from. Hua Hua bit Sheng Xiping's collar and led him back to the spot where he had thrown the sled.

Sheng Xiping looked and saw that the wild boar meat on the sled was still there and had not been harmed by the wolves.

"What? You want me to take the pork back?"

Hua Hua let go of Sheng Xiping and started purring at him.

Sheng Xiping took one look and realized, "Well, this guy is a greedy fellow too. He doesn't want me to throw away what I've got on the mountain."

"Alright, I'll drag it back then." Fortunately, the wolves had been driven away, and the road wasn't too far, so he could just drag it along.

And so, Sheng Xiping slung his gun over his shoulder and dragged the sled back home.

When Sheng Xiping returned to the bottom of the rocky slope, Wang Jianshe and the others had also gathered all the dead wolves on the slope together.

The group threw the wolf onto the sled, and together they pulled the sled forward.

When Erlang Shen and the others saw Hua Hua, they were terrified. Sheng Xiping didn't want to chase Hua Hua away, so he simply let them run ahead to find Sheng Xi'an and the others.

A few dogs led the way, with Sheng Xiping and his group following in the middle, dragging their sleds.

As for Hua Hua, it didn't leave immediately, but followed behind the group, acting a bit like a bodyguard.

On the other side, just as Sheng Xi'an was extremely anxious and Gao Haining and the others were terrified, they suddenly heard several dog barks.

"Oh my, Erlang Shen and the others are back. Xi Ping and the others must be nearby too."

Upon hearing the dog bark, Gao Haining immediately stood up and ran towards the direction the dog was coming from.

Sure enough, Erlang Shen and his six dogs ran back first, and after a while, they saw several dark figures dragging something over as well.

Gao Haining hurriedly stepped forward, "Xiping, did you hear the tiger howling just now? Oh my god, it scared me to death."

"After that, I dare not go hunting in the mountains anymore, there are tigers around here." Gao Haining was so excited when she saw Sheng Xiping that she almost cried.

"Ahem, Haining, that tiger is right behind us." Wang Jianshe coughed twice, turned around and pointed behind him, reminding Gao Haining.

Gao Haining looked in the direction Wang Jianshe pointed, but the dark sky made it impossible to see anything. He could only make out a large, muscular black figure not far away.

"Holy crap, a tiger!" Gao Haining screamed in fright, almost jumping up.

"What are you yelling for? That's my Huahua, it doesn't eat people." Sheng Xiping shook his head helplessly.

“If you keep startling it like this, you might frighten it and make it angry. If it gets angry, it might make you its dinner tonight, and I won’t be able to save you then,” Sheng Xiping deliberately threatened Gao Haining.

"Oh, it's Huahua! Oh my god, why didn't you say so sooner?"

Upon hearing that it was Hua Hua, Gao Haining finally breathed a sigh of relief, patting her chest as she spoke, still shaken.

"What's this? Are Erlang Shen and the others chasing a pig?"

Once Gao Haining calmed down, he had the leisure to examine the items on the sled. Seeing that it was quite a large pile, he asked curiously.

"Oh dear, don't even mention Erlang Shen and the others. Those dogs are just too damn nasty."

Do you know what we saw when we got there? Six dogs, they actually ripped the intestines out of a five- or six-hundred-pound running carcass.

When this topic came up, Wang Jianshe became quite talkative and told Gao Haining about Erlang Shen chasing a pig and how they chased a dog.

"Holy crap, are they that tough? Xiping, your dogs are amazing. If they go up the mountain again, they'll dare to do anything they see!" Gao Haining was dumbfounded.

They had known Sheng Xiping for many years and heard countless hunting stories, but they had never heard of six hunting dogs being able to take down a 500-600 pound horse without a hunter.

"Not necessarily. They'll still cower when they see the one behind them," Sheng Xiping said with a shrug and a blank expression.

Upon hearing this, everyone burst into laughter. The king of beasts is not called that for nothing. How many dogs wouldn't be afraid of a tiger?

Gao Haining stepped forward to help drag the sled. The group chatted as they walked and soon met up with Sheng Xi'an and the others.
