Liu Yujiang thought about it and realized it made sense. This group had robbed countless hunters in the mountains. If they were allowed to continue their evil deeds, more people would suffer.

Now that we've run into them, letting them go out of kindness might cause future trouble.

"Alright, we'll go first, you guys decide what to do."

Liu Yujiang nodded and carefully wrapped the guns in Sheng Xi'an and Chen Weiguo's hands in burlap sacks again.

Liu Yuhe handed the gun to his elder brother, and then Liu Yujiang and Sheng Xi'an quickly left.

After Liu Yujiang and Sheng Xi'an left, Sheng Xiping called Zhang Zhijun aside and whispered a few words to him, telling Zhang Zhijun to go to the Fusong Town branch of the Public Security Bureau, which was not far from here, to report the crime.

So he ran to the town branch office, panting, and reported to someone that someone had robbed him at gunpoint in the alley behind the No. 1 Department Store recycling station.

There was one person standing in the alley, while the other six or seven people were all lying on the ground, their hands and feet bound together with belts or something similar, unable to move.

"Don't move, hands up!" Several police officers in blue and white uniforms immediately stepped forward and shouted.

Without saying a word, Sheng Xiping obediently raised his hand and stood against the wall.

"Comrade, it was those guys who robbed me."

I came to the county purchasing station to sell mountain products. I just sold several thousand yuan worth of goods inside. As soon as I came out, these people blocked my way and tried to rob me.

Fortunately, a few other hikers happened to see them and helped restrain and tie them up.

Sheng Xiping didn't intend to involve too many people in this matter, so he sent Wang Jianshe and the others away before the police arrived.

"Oh, I have the receipt that the purchasing station just gave me. Director Zhang from the purchasing station knows me, and they can vouch for me."

As Sheng Xiping spoke, he took out the receipt from his backpack, and then rummaged through his pocket to find his work ID.

"Comrade, look, I didn't lie, all of this can prove it."

The other party took it and first looked at Sheng Xiping's work ID, which identified him as an officer in the security department of Qianchuan Forest Farm.

Looking at the receipt again, the front shows the total amount, and the back details the quantity and price of each item, with today as the date.

"Xiao Wu, go find Director Zhang at the purchasing station and find out what's going on," the leader gestured to the person next to him.

The man nodded and went to the purchasing station to find Director Zhang. Not long after, Director Zhang came over with him.

Director Zhang was also startled when he saw the situation in the alley.

"I never expected them to be so bold as to ambush me in the alley in broad daylight and try to rob me," Sheng Xiping said with a wry smile.

Several uniformed officers spoke with Director Zhang, took brief notes, and then let him go home.

"Come on, you two come with us back to the station to give your statements," the other person said, looking at Sheng Xiping and Zhang Zhijun.

Sheng Xiping had no objection to this.

So the men let go of the guys on the ground, picked up all the various items, and took them back to the police station for questioning.

At first, the tall, thin man and the short, fat man vehemently denied robbery, claiming it was just a fight and that the two groups had a grudge against each other.

But when people ask about the specifics of the grudge, they start to stammer and can't give a clear answer.

Later, they insisted that Sheng Xiping's group had guns and knives and were not good people.

They just deny everything and act like scoundrels.

Sheng Xiping then recounted how last year, when he came to the county town to sell goods, he was cornered in an alley by two men who tried to rob him, and how he stabbed the tall, thin man.

When people asked him where the people who were with him had gone, or whose gun it was, Sheng Xiping simply shook his head.

They said they all met while selling goods at the recycling station, and since they had similar experiences, they decided to help each other.

After the tall, thin man and his men were subdued, those people left, and he didn't know where they came from.

Sheng Xiping's words nearly made the person who asked him furious, but they couldn't do anything about it.

Because the evidence and witnesses before us can prove that Sheng Xiping was the one who was robbed.

However, he led his men in an unexpected counterattack, managing to take down the robbers.

Of course, there are definitely many things here that don't stand up to scrutiny, such as the people who helped him, and the guns that the tall, thin guy and the others mentioned.
