Reborn in the Apocalypse: Bringing the Whole Village to Farm

The apocalypse arrived, but there were no zombies. Only unpredictable extreme weather and daily squabbles forced humans to survive on instinct alone to avoid being eliminated.

Yun Qi struggle...

Chapter 2 Space

But by the time she discovered the space, it was too late. Food was nowhere to be found, so her space was completely empty. The space was about the size of a football field. The only things she found inside were two relatively intact sets of clothes she'd salvaged from the ruins. To call them clothes was a stretch; they were barely wearable, probably discarded items.

She hadn't fully explored this space yet, nor did she know what other functions it might have. She had cleared a plot of land to try and grow some food, but she had already starved to death outside the base before she could even find any seeds.

Now, it's as if the ring exists in her mind; whenever Yunqi thinks of the ring, it appears in her mind.

Yunqi looked around at the rented house. It was a house in an urban village, where local villagers had built individual rooms for rent. The rent wasn't expensive, about one-tenth of his monthly salary. The landlord's family lived downstairs, so the house was relatively safe.

The 30-square-meter apartment, including a bathroom and balcony, was perfect for a single woman. The landlord, considering safety, only rented the entire floor to single women. So Yunqi had been renting there all along, without considering moving even after the apocalypse broke out.

The entire urban village belongs to the landlord's entire family, and a row of storefronts surrounds the village. Because of these storefronts, living there is very convenient.

When the tsunami warning was issued, Yunqi still managed to escape the city in his landlord's car, making the landlord arguably Yunqi's first benefactor in the apocalypse. Therefore, Yunqi wouldn't move out of the house unless he had a new plan, and he was even thinking about how to warn the landlord when the tsunami struck.

Yunqi picked up the wallet and keys from the table and ran to the store at the door.

She pushed the cart and put all the food she wanted in it, but unfortunately she didn't usually cook and didn't have any kitchen utensils, so she could only choose instant noodles, ham bread, and the like. When she went to pay, she found that the freezer by the door had all kinds of her favorite ice cream. Yunqi had a hobby since she was a child, and no matter how cold the weather was, she would always store some ice cream in the freezer. Fortunately, she was not fat.

"Why are you only buying instant food? You still need to eat meals." The shop owner, who was the landlord's second sister, kindly reminded her.

"It's okay, I'll keep some at home. I can eat them when I'm working overtime sometimes," Yunqi replied, inwardly regretting his actions. Right, he could just go out to eat. It had been years since he'd had a proper meal. Yunqi licked his lips, wishing he could already be sitting at the table.

After saying goodbye to the landlady's second sister, Yunqi walked to the small fast food restaurant next door. At this point, as long as he could eat rice, he didn't care about hygiene or not, especially since the food at this kind of fast food restaurant was pretty good.

Originally, Yunqi planned to eat at the restaurant before going home, but fearing he might scare others while eating, he asked the owner to pack up enough food for three people and take it home.

As soon as they entered the house, they didn't even bother to change their shoes; they simply laid out the food and started eating.

What a long-lost taste! Yunqi couldn't even remember the last time she had eaten such delicious rice. She devoured the food meant for three people, then burped contentedly, clutching her stomach.

Then she remembered that there were still ice creams in her shopping bag. Luckily it was winter, so she quickly put the ice creams into the freezer. Because she had bought too many, there were still a few ice creams that wouldn't fit.

"I really can't eat anymore. I can't waste it." Having experienced the apocalypse, Yunqi felt a pang of heartache at the thought of wasting food.

She thought of her spatial storage. Wouldn't it be great if she could keep things fresh by putting them in a spatial storage? Why don't you give it a try?

Yunqi then put the ice cream into his spatial storage.
