They ate and drank for almost an hour before stopping. In the most difficult times, being well-fed and watered brings a sense of peace.

After a busy day, this is the only time I can finally relax.

"Tomorrow we'll go that way again, finish that route, and then turn to the other side."

No one questioned Yu Yanbin's words; they had already covered most of the area, and only a small portion remained to complete the tour.

"Okay, we'll go over there after we're done."

Li Xiao knew that the risks were lower on this side. The mutated plants on the other side were far more terrifying than cacti.

"Let's finish this side first, and then we can go to the other side when we're mentally prepared."

No one doubted Li Xiao's words in the slightest. Li Xiao would never lie to them.

"What's going on on the other side, Xiaoxiao? Do you know?" Yu Yanbin asked, turning his head to the side.

Li Xiao didn't hide anything, "There should be something even more powerful than a cactus. It's best to clear the area around it before dealing with that. I don't know exactly what it is."

Everyone was startled. It was even more powerful than a cactus. What kind of creature was it?

Shao Jie silently swallowed, "How much better?"

Li Xiao shook her head. "I'm not sure either, but it should be much more powerful."

Everyone's attention was focused on Li Xiao's face, so Li Xiao couldn't guess and could only make a rough estimate.

Yu Yanbin nodded, "Since we can't be sure, it's too early to talk about those things now. Let's focus on doing the things at hand first."

Cheng Shaolin wholeheartedly agreed, "That's right, it's too early to talk about those things. Let's focus on the present."

"Right, right, let's get this sorted out first. Who knows, we might be even better then." Seeing the low morale, Meng Yang gave everyone a shot in the arm.

"Uncle Meng is the most insightful one. Who said we're not capable? Right, Uncle Meng?" Shao Jie crossed his legs, looking relaxed and casual.

“That’s right, how can we not be great?” Even Tian Tian started to feel blindly confident.

Li Xiao smiled, amused by the unexpected turn of events.

"Alright, it's good to be confident, but there has to be a limit." Yu Yanbin didn't want to dampen his team's enthusiasm, but he was afraid that they would become too confident and act recklessly in the end.

At this point, everyone burst into laughter.

It seems everyone understands the situation, which is good. Confidence is good, but don't go overboard. That's not confidence, that's foolishness.

Everyone started talking about their plans for the future. Now everyone knows how careful and cautious they should be. Who can still act recklessly and arrogantly? They'd probably die even faster.

The more critical the moment, the more careful one must be; only by being careful can one ensure the ship's longevity.

"We'll collect more autumn and winter clothes later; we probably won't have much food."

Everyone understands that this is true. Right now, food is practically nowhere to be seen, except for thick clothing that can't be taken with us.

"Captain, do you mean we'll need these later?" Xiao Peng's deep voice rang out.

Yu Yanbin looked at him, then said to everyone, "Of course, how could this sweltering heat last forever? That's impossible. There can't be only one season throughout the year."

Cheng Shaolin also took the opportunity to give everyone a heads-up, "What the captain said is true, but we can't be sure when it will happen. But we can prepare. So later, we can collect more thick clothes, blankets and the like."

"Okay, I understand. Let's just do it the same way as today and have Xiaoxiao collect it." The beautiful Qiu understood perfectly; she could just do it the same way as today.

"Yes, just like today, we'll tie it up and wait for Xiaoxiao to come and collect it."

"Okay, I understand."

"Make more, who knows if we'll freeze to death in the winter. It'll be unbearably hot in the summer."

No one expected that winter would come just as Shao Jie had predicted. Back then, everyone blamed Shao Jie for his jinx, saying that bad things always come true.

"Stop talking, or is this awful temperature not annoying enough?" Xiao Peng complained, finding Shao Jie's words unpleasant and fearing they were a bad omen.

"Okay, okay, I won't say anything more, alright?" Seeing the strange looks people were giving him, Shao Jie wisely shut his mouth.

"I don't know how much longer this awful weather will last; it's already been three months. Maybe it won't be too long, so let's hurry up and collect as much as possible."

"Okay, okay." Everyone nodded in agreement.

After such a long period of high temperatures, a drop in temperature is not surprising at all; people will say that this is to be expected.

If it doesn't have something really powerful, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

"I wonder when it will be? Should we leave now?" Li Xiao voiced her doubts. If the seasons were to change, it wouldn't be appropriate to stay here any longer.

"Xiaoxiao is right, but we don't know when the next season will begin, or when we should leave."

Seeing that Li Xiao had already raised the question, Meng Yang continued the conversation.

"Okay, let's talk about when would be a good time to leave."

Everyone was concerned about this issue and quieted down to wait for Yu Yanbin to say what he would say next.

"The exact timing depends on the temperature changes over the next few days. There will always be some differences as we move into the next season."

As he said this, his eyes glanced at Cheng Shaolin.

Cheng Shaolin was also pondering the possibilities. He touched his chin back and forth with his right index finger, understanding the unspoken message in Yu Yanbin's eyes.

He lowered his fingers and placed his hands on his knees. "I'm afraid that nothing will change at all, and we'll just have a direct transition."
