Chapter 117 The Start of the Second Year of Junior High

Chen Fangqiu stopped the motorcycle, and the two of them got off.

After untying the boxes and snakeskin bags from their backs, Chen Fangqiu and Chen Fanglan each took one and walked towards the school.

Shen Xuewei jogged a few steps and walked ahead of the two.

She went to the bulletin board to check the assigned classes and dormitories.

At Mingda Junior High School, classes are reassigned for each grade level when students move up to the next grade.

She searched the list for a while and found that she had been assigned to the second year of junior high school (3), while Wu Yuhong had been assigned to the second year of junior high school (6). The two were not in the same class.

She sighed and continued to check her assigned dormitory.

Dormitory 311 is on the third floor.

After finding them, she led Chen Fangqiu and Chen Fanglan toward the girls' dormitory building.

She went up to the third floor and found dormitory 311 according to the room number. She subconsciously looked at the upper bunk in the dormitory.

She thought she hadn't arrived too late and should be able to get an empty upper bunk, but to her surprise, all six upper bunks in the dormitory had already been taken.

Looks like I'll have to sleep in the lower bunk with someone else.

This makes it quite inconvenient for her to write anything in her dorm room.

Just as she was hesitating about which lower bunk to choose, the girl in the upper bunk on the left side of the entrance lifted her mosquito net and waved excitedly at her.

"Weiwei!"

"Mei Ling!"

Ye Meiling nodded happily, "Yes, it's me. You didn't expect that, did you? I actually got assigned to the same dormitory as you."

She patted the bed next to her. "Hey, don't say I'm disloyal. I see you're in the same class and the same dorm as me, and I know you like to sleep on the top bunk..."

“You weren’t here when I came this morning, so I specially reserved the upper bunk next to you. That way, we can sleep with our heads next to each other and talk quietly at night.”

Shen Xuewei smiled and said, "Thank you, Meiling. I was just wondering if I could find someone to switch my bed. You've been a great help to me."

Chen Fangqiu was getting impatient. "Are you done yet? I have things to do later, and I don't have time to waste here with you."

His tone was somewhat fierce, and his face had a thuggish air about him; he didn't look like someone to be trifled with.

Ye Meiling glanced at him, then quickly looked away in fright.

The other girls who arrived at the dormitory earlier were also startled.

They glanced at each other, then huddled together in a corner, further away from the door.

Chen Fanglan glared at Chen Fangqiu, "This is school, not society. Don't use your bad temper here."

Shen Xuewei smiled apologetically at the people in the dormitory, "I'm sorry."

She pointed to the upper bunk and said, "Uncle, you can help me put my suitcase up there."

Ye Meiling quickly brought back the blanket she had used to reserve the spot.

Chen Fangqiu pushed the suitcase onto the upper bunk and said coldly, "I'm leaving."

Without paying any attention to Chen Fanglan, he walked out of the dormitory on his own.

Chen Fanglan still had something to say to him, so she quickly lifted the quilt she was holding onto the bed.

"Weiwei, your aunt is leaving now. If you miss your aunt later, give her a call."

"Okay, Auntie, you can go now. Thank you for bringing me to school."

Chen Fanglan walked away in her sky-high heels.

After the two left, Shen Xuewei walked into the corridor and peered down until she saw them leave the dormitory building one after the other before she looked away.

She went to her old dormitory, found her bucket, washbasin, and thermos, and brought them back to dormitory 311.

Unlike Mingda Elementary School, every dormitory at Mingda Middle School is equipped with a washroom.

However, each dormitory room has to accommodate eighteen people and there are only two toilets.

Even when taking a shower, you have to rush to take a shower.

After entering junior high school, in order to squeeze out more time to write novels, Shen Xuewei would take a shower every day before going to bed after evening self-study, so as not to compete with her roommates for the time after school in the afternoon.

She wiped the dust off the bed board with clean water.

In hot weather, water that gets on the bed board dries very easily.

After cleaning, she laid out the mat, put up the mosquito net, and put away the box and quilt.

After she finished her work, Ye Meiling, who was talking to some roommates, asked her, "Weiwei, we're going out to buy some things later, do you want to come?"

"I won't be going out later, you guys go ahead."

Shen Xuewei sat on the bed for a while, then got up and left.

After buying slippers for Ye Meiling on the street, she bought some jelly and candy at a snack shop, stuffed them into her schoolbag, and then ran to the internet cafe as if she knew the way well.

Every computer in the internet cafe was occupied. Shen Xuewei waited for almost half an hour before she could finally snag a computer.

After calculating the time, she paid for two hours of internet access, then opened a document, sat quietly for a few minutes, and began typing away furiously.

It was almost 6:30 when I left the internet cafe.

Shen Xuewei took her things and went straight to the classroom without returning to the dormitory.

Ye Meiling had already taken a seat and was copying homework from it.
