He scoffed coldly, tilted his head, and looked at Mingyao and Ni An with smugness in his eyes.

"Those who are barefoot are not afraid of those who are wearing shoes."

"You two have ruined me and left me with nothing. Are you afraid of being kicked out by security?"

Lin Bin, having gone this far, made a bold statement: "If Ni An doesn't talk to me today, I'll expose her intimate photos in the media!"

Lin Bin said viciously, "If you won't let me have an easy time, I won't let her have an easy time either!"

Mingyao's temper flared up instantly, and she angrily said, "Mr. Lin, your behavior is illegal."

"So what if it's illegal?"

Lin Bin shrugged and sneered, "Anyway, I have nothing left."

Ni An was terrified. "Lin Bin, we've already broken up, why are you still clinging to me?"

"What do you want me to do for you to let me go?"

She pleaded desperately, tears streaming down her face, humbled to the point of being insignificant.

Mingyao grabbed Ni An's hand and quickly stopped her from pleading.

"Don't beg for mercy. If he succeeds once, he'll never let you off the hook again!"

“But,” Ni An said anxiously, “what if he releases my intimate photos?”

"Waaah, I'd rather be dead!"

Mingyao held Ni An's shoulders and said comfortingly, "Don't worry, I'm here for you."

She turned to Lin Bin again and asked in a low voice, "Lin Bin, what do you want to do?"

Lin Bin glared fiercely at Ni An and roared, "Tell her to go explain to my wife!"

"She seduced me on purpose! I didn't initiate the relationship with her!"

Lin Bin's voice wasn't loud, but it sounded particularly jarring in the company lobby.

If Lin Bin continues to cause trouble, something bad is bound to happen.

Mingyao knew she couldn't provoke Lin Bin any further; the key was to protect Ni An's reputation.

"Lin Bin, it's almost time for us to start work."

"How about this, you come back after get off work."

Lin Bin retorted sarcastically, "What?"

A playful glint appeared on his face, his eyes gleaming with a sly smile: "Now you know fear?"

"Besides, why should I agree to that?"

To appease Lin Bin, Ming Yao said righteously, "I assure you, as long as your request isn't excessive, I will persuade Ni An to agree."

"How about it?"

Before Lin Bin could reply, Ming Yao continued, "Our colleagues will be here soon. Making a scene won't do you any good."

"You don't want things to fall apart and both sides to be unhappy, do you?"

Lin Bin frowned and pondered for a while, then realized that Mingyao's words made sense.

He nodded. "Okay, I promise you."

"I'll come again tonight."

Seeing that Lin Bin was willing to back down, Mingyao and Ni An felt relieved.

However, this does not mean that Lin Bin believed them.

Lin Bin stared intently at Ming Yao and Ni An, warning them, "If you two try anything funny tonight, I'll make you regret it!"

After uttering those harsh words, he turned and left.

After Lin Bin completely disappeared from sight, Ni An felt as if all the strength in her body had been drained away in an instant.

She swayed, then slumped into a chair, her face ashen.

"Sister Su, what should we do?"

"My life is completely ruined."

Ni An covered her face, her body trembling as she cried.

She is now filled with regret and frustration.

Why did I become so infatuated with him in the first place?

"Now we can't shake them off at all."

Mingyao sighed, feeling sorry for Ni An.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here with you."

Ni An looked up with her tear-streaked face, gripped Ming Yao's hand tightly, stared intently into her eyes, and asked, "Sister Su, have you forgiven me?"

"You saw what happened today. Lin Bin hates me so much that I'm grinding my teeth. There's no way we can make up."

Mingyao nodded, took out a tissue, and helped Ni An wipe away her tears.

"Okay, I understand."

"You are indeed innocent."

"I'm sorry, I misunderstood you today."

Having regained Mingyao's trust, a smile flashed in Ni An's eyes.

Before Mingyao could even notice, that smile vanished into the depths of her eyes.

When it was time to leave work, Ni An sent Lin Bin a message and arranged to meet at a coffee shop.

The two waited in the coffee shop for half an hour, but Lin Bin did not appear.

Ni An called Lin Bin, but no one answered.

Mingyao glanced at the time and called Lin Bin again, but there was still no answer.

What on earth is Lin Bin up to?

Seeing that Mingyao looked a little anxious, Ni An asked, "Sister Su, is there something else urgent?"

Mingyao nodded, staring at the crowds moving back and forth outside the coffee shop.

"Yes, I have a party to attend tonight."

"ah?"

Ni An asked in surprise, "Then why don't you hurry up, Sister Su?"

"I'll wait for him here myself."

Mingyao shook her head and continued to stare at the crowd outside. "It's just a class reunion, it's not important."

"I don't feel comfortable leaving you to deal with Lin Bin alone."

Ni An looked ashamed. "I'm sorry, Sister Su. It's all my fault for causing you trouble."

The two waited in the coffee shop for another half hour, but still didn't see Lin Bin.

Did they stand you up?

Looking at the darkening sky, Ni An bit her lip and said, "Sister Su, you should go to the class reunion."

"I'll continue to wait here."

Mingyao was just about to say she would stay with her when her phone rang at an inopportune moment.

It was an unfamiliar number.

After pressing the call button, a smiling male voice came through: "Su Xueya, why haven't you arrived yet?"
