Her heart felt as if it were being gripped by an invisible hand; the unknown fear and panic surged like a tide, overwhelming Mingyao's reason.

Mingyao mechanically took out her phone, and just as she was about to make a call, a small figure entered her field of vision.

Just fifty meters away from her, Little Radish was running towards her.

Little Radish looked panicked, glancing back every now and then, as if he was afraid of something.

In just one minute, the Maybach overtook the silver minivan and followed closely behind.

Mingyao stood there stunned, while countless eyes turned to the Maybach.

The Maybach sped through the yellow light, passed the van a distance, and then suddenly swerved to a stop.

A deafening crash echoed through the sky as the van rammed into the Maybach, leaving a huge dent.

The sounds of horns and screams lingered in my ears.

Mingyao walked absentmindedly toward the location of the car accident. She had run too hard and her legs were now weak.

After walking for a while, Mingyao ran forward with red eyes.

The scene of the car accident was crowded with onlookers, and wisps of black smoke rose from the hood of the van.

Mingyao froze in place, her pupils constricted.

She recognized the Maybach; it belonged to Pei Siyu.

"Pei Siyu!"

Mingyao's voice was hoarse as she staggered towards the Maybach.

The Maybach's doors twisted and deformed under the intense pressure, and the windows and windshield shattered into pieces.

Mingyao's mind went completely blank, and tears streamed down her face.

A glaring red line snaked down Pei Siyu's forehead as he sat in the driver's seat. Mingyao opened her mouth wide, her heart clenching with pain.

His companion also got out of the driver's seat.

"Stop!" Mingyao frowned, anger rising in her eyes. She rushed forward, blocking the man's path. "Give me back my child right now!"

The onlookers all turned to look at the two men, who instantly became the target of everyone's anger.

In front of the two men, Mingyao pressed the 110 button.

When she looked again, Pei Siyu raised his long leg and kicked his companion in the black baseball cap in the spine.

The man screamed and rolled on the ground. The man in the baseball cap froze, about to turn around.

Pei Siyu swung his fist and punched the man in the baseball cap in the face.

He moved swiftly, giving the baseball cap no chance to react, and snatched the little carrot as the man fell.

"ah!"

A heart-wrenching scream echoed through the sky. Pei Siyu looked down at the man in the baseball cap, his shiny crocodile-skin shoes pressing against the man's cheek.

He sneered, "Still trying to run?"

"Master Pei! Spare me! Spare me!"

Mingyao was stunned, not expecting that the thugs would know Pei Siyu.

Pei Siyu's taut lips curled into a mocking smile. "Interesting."

Just as he had guessed, the thugs were connected to the Pei family.

The situation was quickly brought under control, and the assistant rushed over in a flurry, "President Pei."

He glanced at the two men on the ground and couldn't help but gasp.

He and Pei Siyu went to the hospital to pick up Mingyao from discharge, only to find that she had already left when they arrived at the ward.
