"I'm a little tipsy, but not drunk." She picked up another glass, about to drink, when suddenly her hand was empty.

Mingyao was stunned for a moment, then looked up and met Pei Siyu's deep eyes.

He snatched Mingyao's wine cup, picked it up, and drank it all in one gulp.

The colleagues who were noisily handing drinks to Mingyao were stunned and stared at Pei Siyu in astonishment.

"Is President Pei here to celebrate too?"

"President Pei, you've worked hard! Without the company, I wouldn't be where I am today!" Her attitude was respectful yet distant, which made Pei Siyu feel an inexplicable sense of irritation.

Pei Siyu stared intently at her, then downed the wine in his glass in one gulp.

Mingyao chuckled and took a sip. Seeing this, the other colleagues also mustered up their courage to toast Pei Siyu.

Mingyao, who was just the focus of everyone's attention, now stands next to Pei Siyu as if she were invisible.

Pei Siyu didn't know what possessed him, but he accepted all the wines his colleagues brought him.

She even snatched the drink that Manager Zhang offered to Mingyao and drank it herself.

"This was given to you by CEO Pei. Don't you treasure it?"

"I just threw the clothes away because they got dirty." Xia Kexing stared at Ming Yao, who was hiding behind Pei Siyu. "The clothes weren't even a gift to me. I'm just a trash can."

Ni An sensed the sourness in Xia Kexing's words and said, "Oh, what does that have to do with me?"

"How can it be alright?"

Xia Kexing moved a little closer to An Ni and said sincerely, "We're kind of in the same boat, aren't we?"

Ni An quickly retreated, her gaze towards Xia Kexing filled with disgust. "Who's sharing your misery?"

"Xia Kexing, don't disgust me!"

Meeting her hateful gaze, Xia Kexing smiled instead of getting angry: "Am I not telling the truth?"

"Su Xueya is already married, yet she's still flirting with President Pei. Don't you find it disgusting to be friends with someone like that?"

Ni An glared at her but didn't answer. Xia Kexing continued, "She's not dutiful to her family and has no sense of responsibility whatsoever. She's always trying to latch onto a man."

"Can someone who is so shady and likes to curry favor be a good friend?"

She also saw Pei Siyu shield Mingyao from the alcohol.

Xia Kexing was wondering why the Pei family liked Mingyao so much when she inadvertently discovered Ni An standing in the corner.

In the company, who doesn't know that Mingyao and Ni An have the best relationship?

Xia Kexing froze, staring intently at her.

Ni An was completely oblivious and said with a sneer, "When you're trying to control others, you should control yourself first, so you don't make a fool of yourself."
