Mobeichen, t...
The following day, the torrential rain that had been falling for several days finally turned into a light drizzle.
Like a blurry curtain falling from the sky, it inexplicably brought a touch of desolation.
Early in the morning, Mo Beichen led a large group of people back to the courtyard, each carrying a huge box.
This spectacular sight immediately caught the attention of the Ghost Doctor and Master Yun Qingluo.
"What are all these things?" the Ghost Doctor asked curiously.
Mo Beichen smiled slightly, a sly glint in his eyes: "These are all medicines prepared for the disaster area."
After saying that, he waved his hand, signaling everyone to move all the boxes into Yun Qingluo's room.
"Oh dear, why go through all this trouble!" The Ghost Doctor quickly stepped forward to stop him. "Can't we just examine him?"
Mo Beichen smiled mysteriously.
The Ghost Doctor was startled. "What...what are you laughing at?"
When Luo Luo wasn't around, this man never smiled at them.
Why are you laughing so strangely today?
Is there some kind of conspiracy?
"Senior, you misunderstand. I just wanted to show Luo Luo the medicine, otherwise she would be uneasy. She kept talking to me about preparing the medicine last night and didn't sleep well at all," Mo Beichen explained softly, his voice filled with a hint of doting and tenderness.
Well, this is practically blatant public display of affection!
The Ghost Doctor's hand, which had touched the box, recoiled as if burned.
It's just some medicinal herbs, is it really necessary to make such a fuss?
The Ghost Doctor muttered to himself, but couldn't help but laugh.
A hint of helplessness appeared on his wrinkled face as he shook his head and sighed, "You young people... are truly enviable."
He stood up and left with Yun Qingluo's master.
"Alright, alright, we old folks won't get in the way anymore, so as not to disturb you two. We're going to play chess now," the Ghost Doctor said with a smile, his tone tinged with amusement.
"Remember to call us when you set off," the Ghost Doctor suddenly stopped and turned to Mo Beichen.
Mo Beichen nodded, indicating that he understood.
The Ghost Doctor and Yun Qingluo's master went into the next room together.
After Mo Beichen had the box delivered to Yun Qingluo's room, he dismissed everyone and instructed Feng Tianxing to send another group of people.
Feng Tianxing had doubts, but his mission was to obey the king of the Sumeru Continent.
When Mo Beichen entered, Yun Qingluo was peeking in from the doorway of the inner room.
Upon seeing Mo Beichen, her eyes lit up. "Master and Uncle-Master...they haven't suspected anything, have they?"
She panicked when she heard that her martial uncle was going to inspect the medicinal herbs.
It's completely empty inside.
Mo Beichen shook his head and smiled indulgently, saying, "I will naturally do my best to handle the things that Luo Luo asked me to do."
Yun Qinglu glared at him, not wanting to banter with him.
"Little one, little one, hurry, hurry, medicine." Yun Qingluo opened the large box one by one, and it was empty.
"Yo yo, check it out, give me a set of jianbing guozi." Xiao Yi finally finished taking the medicine and was in an exceptionally good mood.
"Stop talking nonsense and hurry up. After you've packed the medicine, I'll prepare some food, and then we'll set off," Yun Qingluo urged Xiao Yi.
"Alright, alright."
Although Mo Beichen had seen Yun Qinglu conjure things out of thin air long ago, this scene still shocked him.
So many large boxes were filled with all kinds of medicines in the blink of an eye.
"The red lacquered wooden box contains ordinary medicines for treating colds, fevers, wound infections, and so on. The black lacquered wooden box contains special medicines for treating epidemics. As for the medicines in these four black and red lacquered wooden boxes, only I can use them. The red and black boxes are to be given to Master and Uncle-Master. They will find some reliable doctors over there to help us."
What Yun Qingluo called ordinary is only ordinary under modern high-tech medical conditions; for the ancients, it was no ordinary item.
The people who came to deliver the medicine this time were all reliable; Feng Tianxing, Wuming, and Luo Xiuran all came.
"Hello, sister-in-law! Ah, I've been in the Sumeru Continent for so long, and I'm so glad to finally see you. It's all Mo Beichen's fault for not letting us visit you." Wuming jumped out, carrying two large food boxes.
Luo Xiuran followed Wuming in and, upon hearing Wuming's words, gave him a look that said, "May you have good luck."
Mo Beichen's face turned cold, and he said in a chilling voice, "Who let you in?"
"Damn it, Mo Beichen, it's so cold outside, are you trying to freeze us to death?" Wuming said indignantly, putting the two food boxes on the table.
Luo Xiuran greeted Yun Qingluo with a smile, then turned and walked out.
"Hey, why did he leave?" Yun Qingluo asked.
"Go deliver food to the neighbors. After they eat, rest for a while, and then we'll set off." Mo Beichen opened the food box and placed the dishes inside one by one on the table.
"Wow, this is such a feast! It smells so good! Where did you buy this?" Yun Qingluo looked at the dishes on the table with delight; they were all her favorites.
"You..." Mo Beichen was about to answer when Wuming interrupted him.
"Sister-in-law, this is...it's too far. Mo Beichen thought you rarely go out and haven't tried much of the local cuisine, so he specially asked me and Luo Xiuran to buy it. Luckily, it didn't spill." Wuming sat down on the stool, answering Yun Qingluo's questions while pouring three glasses of wine.
Upon hearing this, Mo Beichen's expression softened somewhat.
Yun Qingluo turned her head and tugged at Mo Beichen's sleeve, saying happily, "Thank you, Achen."
"Sit down and eat, try it and see how it tastes," Mo Beichen said, pressing Yun Qingluo down on a stool and personally serving her several dishes that were further away from her.
