Synopsis: [No CP + Hilarious + Persecution-oriented, main story in third person] [Pre-order "After Drawing Identity Cards, I Became the Strongest" in my column]
You are a high-defense...
Assessment and unexpected meeting
The young man with short, light blond hair and dark skin clearly held a high position in this small organization. The other young people saw him as their leader and began to chatter and complain about him.
The young man known as "Toru Amuro" is indeed of high status. He became the second-in-command in the organization in just half a year. He has a high reputation and is well-liked within the organization.
Amuro Tooru pressed down on his palm, his gaze sweeping over the group before finally settling on the young man in the lead: "You tell me what happened."
The blond-haired guy, whose name was called, initially stuttered a bit, but his speech became increasingly fluent as he spoke. He didn't even need to write a draft, and he embellished the story of what had just happened.
"Brother Tou, that guy is too arrogant. He doesn't take us seriously at all. We have to teach him a lesson..."
The others, covering their own facial injuries, nodded in agreement, all looking expectantly at Amuro Tooru, hoping he would help them regain their lost face.
Amuro Tooru frowned slightly after hearing this, and looked at the blond-haired man with a somewhat serious expression: "What did he ask?"
After he finished speaking, his sharp gaze swept over the others.
The young men looked at each other, not understanding what Amuro Tooru meant. But seeing his serious expression, they were afraid they had gotten into trouble, so they all told him exactly what they had said.
After listening to their conversation, Amuro Tooru had a general idea of their purpose, and his slightly agitated mood, which had been affected by the batch of drugs, immediately improved. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief, patted the blond-haired guy on the shoulder and gave them a few instructions, before heading to the warehouse where the drugs were stored.
The young man using the alias "Amuro Tooru" is actually named Furuya Rei. He is a police officer who graduated from the police academy and later joined the public security system. This time, he was sent by the public security to infiltrate the Mafia, which is called the Black Organization because everyone there wears black suits.
The Black Organization is a very powerful, transnational Mafia.
They also have a great international influence. After more than a decade of tracking and investigation, and sending in many undercover agents, they finally discovered that the headquarters of the Black Organization seemed to be in Japan.
In order to eradicate the black-clad organization and eliminate this malignant tumor, the police once again sent out undercover agents.
Rei Furuya adopted the alias Tooru Amuro, and his file within the public security system was publicly destroyed. To make the identity of "Toru Amuro" more believable and to better fit into the Black Organization, he joined this small organization six months ago and became its second-in-command during that time.
A week ago, Amuro Tooru learned through secret information from the Public Security Bureau that the Black Organization was secretly transporting a batch of research drugs back to Tokyo. Upon receiving this information, Amuro Tooru knew that his opportunity had arrived.
Although the plan was somewhat risky, Amuro Tooru still wanted to give it a try.
storehouse.
When the guards saw Amuro approaching, they quickly stood up, covered their phones on the table, and called out in a slightly flustered manner, "Tomo-nii."
Amuro Tooru glanced at the phone on the table that was making game sounds, and replied in a deep voice, "I'll go check on the batch of goods that came into the warehouse the day before yesterday."
"Oh, okay, here are the keys." The other person looked a little embarrassed and hurriedly took a bunch of keys from the drawer and handed them to Amuro Tooru.
Meanwhile, on the other side...
After learning from the thugs that their organization had indeed acquired a batch of drugs a few days earlier, Tsurumi River followed them directly to their headquarters in Fukamizu Town.
Tsurumi Kawaru stood under a neon sign with a unique style. He watched the thugs go inside, preparing to take action later and find out the exact location of the warehouse.
Before the operation, Tsurumi Kawakami took out his phone and sent a text message to the members of the operation team he was in contact with.
After sending the confirmation text message, the black-haired, golden-eyed boy adjusted his baseball cap and ate the takoyaki he had bought from the food street while it was still hot.
Meanwhile, on the rooftop of a building a kilometer away, a young man wearing a dark hoodie and jeans was leisurely disassembling a sniper rifle that was propped up on the edge of the rooftop and putting it into a bag he used to carry his bass guitar.
Suddenly, the young man's phone vibrated in his pocket. He paused and took the phone out of his pocket.
Upon seeing the sender and the content of the text message, Midorikawa Hikaru's eyes darkened. He didn't reply to the message, but instead turned off the screen and quickly put the gun into his bass bag.
He slung his bass bag over his shoulder, like an ordinary young man involved in underground music, and appeared on another street after avoiding surveillance cameras.
Tsurumi Kawa finished his takoyaki, threw the trash into the bin, glanced up at the neon sign with the words "Fukami-cho" written on it, then lowered his head and blended into the crowd.
In Fukamizu Town, the Yamaguchi-gumi is a notorious organization. However, this notoriety is not a good one; rather, it's infamous and everyone avoids it.
The Yamaguchi-gumi was a legitimate organization with a decent reputation, but a year ago, its leader was murdered, leaving the group leaderless and in chaos for a period of time.
When the organization fell apart, the original cadres led their subordinates to establish their own independent groups. After the Yamaguchi-gumi, which had been severely weakened, was taken over again, its power had been divided up, its assets had shrunk significantly, and only the mediocre and incompetent members remained.
The once top-tier organization, the Yamaguchi-gumi, was reduced to a low-level organization.
But even a starving camel is bigger than a horse. Although the Yamaguchi-gumi no longer holds its former status, in Fukamizu Town, other organizations will still give it some face out of respect for its former leader.
I just don't know how long this thinness can last.
After meandering through the maze of buildings, Tsurumi Kawa arrived at the back of the Yamaguchi-gumi headquarters. He found a wall, stepped over the edge of a trash can, and climbed over. The spot was secluded; there was a large, abandoned pond nearby, and surprisingly, no one was around.
Tsurumi Kawakami brushed the dust off his pants and started walking in a random direction. He soon saw the warehouse. He hid around the corner and peeked out furtively. There was a building outside the warehouse that looked like a security booth, and he could see people inside through the half-open window.
Tsurumi Kawara peered around for a long time, but before he could come up with a solution, the iron gate of the warehouse suddenly opened, and a person walked out.
Upon seeing the blond, dark-skinned youth emerge, Tsurumi Kawaru's eyes lit up, and he immediately focused his attention on him. Watching the youth say something in front of the security booth and then hand a set of keys to the warehouse guard, Tsurumi Kawaru smiled and stealthily followed behind him.
Tsurumi Kawa was initially worried about how to get into the warehouse, but now that he saw him come out of the warehouse and saw the key, he immediately realized that the warehouse had a different structure, different goods should be placed in different places, and they were locked.
However, we don't need to worry about the warehouse's structure right now. We can find out everything by just grabbing that blond, dark-skinned young man and asking him. If we're lucky, we might even be able to find out where the missing batch of drugs is in the warehouse.
Thinking of this, Tsurumi Kawakami's steps became lighter.
Amuro Tooru came out of the warehouse, confirmed that the batch of medicine was still there, and then handed back the key.
He gave a few instructions to the guards at the warehouse, and after leaving, he hadn't gone far when he noticed someone following him; the gazes from behind were too intense and obvious.
Amuro Tooru paused for a moment, then pretended not to notice and led the person to a corner.
Tsurumi Kawaki followed him further and further off course, and when he saw the other man reach a corner, he quickened his pace. He pulled a pistol from under his black trench coat, lunged forward, locked the man's neck, pressed the gun against his waist, and pinned him against the wall.
Tsurumi Kawakami's palms were sweating slightly. He looked around and then pressed against the man's shoulder and back: "Don't shout. I have something to ask you. I'll let you go after I'm done."
Toru Amuro: "..."
Tsurumi Kawakami tightened his grip on the other man's neck and asked, "So, has the Yamaguchi-gumi recently stolen a shipment?"
Amuro Tooru pressed his cheek against the wall, causing dust to fall down in a flurry. He responded somewhat awkwardly, not expecting that the Black Organization member to be so weak.
The previous tracking was riddled with flaws; anyone with even a little counter-tracking skill could spot it. That series of movements just now—the sudden rush covered too much distance, and the rapid footsteps gave it away. Anyone with a quicker reaction time would have already escaped.
He didn't cover his mouth, even tried to choke someone with one hand, drew his gun too quickly, and his threats were completely ineffective. After picking out a whole bunch of problems, Amuro Tooru still had to pretend he hadn't noticed anything and cooperate with the act to achieve his own goals.
Tsurumi Kawaru's face lit up with surprise. He hadn't expected to catch such a big fish so easily. He quickly inquired about the whereabouts of the catch.
"Where did you put the stolen goods? Where in the warehouse?" After throwing out these questions, Tsurumi Kawakami realized he had been a bit too hasty. To cover it up and feign a fierce demeanor, he gave him a hard shove. "Tell me the truth!"
Amuro Tooru, with a pretentious "hiss," proceeded to describe in great detail, as if spitting out beans, the exact location of the batch of drugs in the warehouse.
Tsurumi listened to every word of Tsurumi River's narration, and even silently recited it several times in his mind so as not to forget it.
After writing everything down, Tsurumi Kawakami loosened his grip on him and kept his promise.
Amuro Tooru was taken aback when the other party actually let him go, neither shooting him nor knocking him unconscious. Caught off guard, Amuro Tooru froze, hesitated for two seconds, and then turned around.
Tsurumi Kawakami holstered his gun, concealing it behind his waist with his trench coat. He looked up and stared intently at the person opposite him, asking in a serious and curious tone, "Are you mixed race?"
Toru Amuro: "..."
Amuro Tooru shut his mouth, looking at the boy in front of him who was wearing a black trench coat, with black hair and unusual eye color, his bright golden eyes were pure and clear.
He was probably seventeen or eighteen years old, with a hint of childishness on his face. At that age, he should be in high school or college, not joining a criminal organization.
Tsurumi Kawakami couldn't figure out what he was thinking. After asking, he suddenly remembered his mission and hurriedly took out his phone to send a text message.
While typing, he blocked their way, not forgetting to explain, "The goods you stole belong to us."
Amuro Tooru's lips twitched, and for the second time he began to wonder how the Black Organization had become such a behemoth.
But for the sake of his undercover plan, Amuro cleared his throat, his originally tough attitude changed, and he coughed lightly and said in a relatively gentle tone: "Although the Yamaguchi-gumi brought back a batch of goods four days ago, how do I know that what you said is true? How can you prove that the batch of goods was lost by you?"
Tsurumi Kawakami had just sent the text message when he heard this and froze on the spot. He opened his mouth and said blankly, "I'm not lying to you. This is an assessment task assigned to me by my superiors."
Amuro Tooru raised an eyebrow, probably not expecting to get information out of him so easily. He paused, organizing his thoughts, and was about to speak when his phone rang.
Tsurumi Kawaru lowered his head. He had just received a reply to the text message he sent; there was only one word on the screen.
Through that "hmm," he seemed to glimpse what kind of aloof person was on the other end. However, he didn't pay much attention to it, since the action team and the intelligence team didn't get along very well to begin with. Tsurumi Kawaru put his phone back in his pocket; his mission was complete, and he felt completely relaxed.
Amuro Tooru also keenly sensed something. He guessed that the Black Organization couldn't have sent just one person to retrieve the goods. The goods intercepted by the Yamaguchi-gumi filled an entire large shelf in the warehouse.
The effects of those drugs, which are simply packaged and have only a code on the packaging, are unclear.
Amuro Tooru secretly took some and sent it back for testing through a clandestine channel with the Public Security Bureau, but the drug test results haven't come out yet.
Tsurumi Kawa turned to leave, waiting for good news from the action team.
Amuro Tooru saw him turn and leave and followed him out, but when he saw that he was walking out of the warehouse instead of back to the warehouse, Amuro Tooru immediately realized that someone else was in charge of taking back the batch of drugs in the warehouse.
He glanced at the people who had already walked away, then turned and headed towards the warehouse.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Hikaru Midorikawa, a member of the action team responsible for retrieving the drugs, was tasked with destroying them on the spot. After receiving a text message from Nagaru Tsurumi about the location of the drugs, he carried his bass bag and scaled the wall to enter the Yamaguchi-gumi.
Before this, having already established his position and located the Yamaguchi-gumi warehouse, he headed straight northwest upon entering. Midorikawa Hikaru knocked out the warehouse guard, retrieved the key from a drawer, and slipped inside.
Hikaru Midorikawa's bass bag not only contained a sniper rifle, but he also carried bombs.
After setting up the bomb on the shelf, Midorikawa Hikaru used a knife to cut open the packaging of one of the medicines, then took out an empty test tube from the bag and filled it with a little brown medicine.
With everything ready, Midorikawa Hikaru turned and left the warehouse, returning to the security room to put the key back in the drawer.
Just then, he heard light footsteps outside. Midorikawa Hikaru paused, softened his movements, and slowed his breathing slightly. He turned around and took a few steps to a blind spot in the corner of the room, pressing the back of his head against the wall to listen quietly to the sounds outside.
The footsteps grew closer, heading straight for the security room. Midorikawa Hikaru turned his head, his gaze following the half-open window, his hand on his lower back, trying to find the best angle to attack.
A figure suddenly appeared in their field of vision.
Upon seeing that person, Midorikawa Hikaru's gaze suddenly froze, his half-closed eyes slowly widened, and he withdrew his hand from behind his waist.
Amuro Tooru arrived at the warehouse. He first glanced at the iron gate of the warehouse, then turned his gaze to the half-open window of the security room. Looking through the window, he could see a person lying face down on the table.
Because of the prone position, it was impossible to tell whether he was dead or had been knocked unconscious.
Amuro Tooru's face was expressionless, his gaze was very cold, and he deliberately made a little noise, walked to the wall, picked up a steel pipe, and slowly walked along the wall.
With a loud crash, the steel pipe got stuck right on the windowsill.
Hikaru Midorikawa peeked out the window, stared at the person outside for a few seconds, and then suddenly said, "Zero, what are you doing here?"
Outside the window, Amuro, his face usually cold and aloof, revealed a look of astonishment. He stared at Midorikawa Hikaru in surprise, equally astonished: "Hiro?"
Hikaru Midorikawa nodded, withdrew his right hand from the window, and climbed out, gesturing to Tooru Amuro. The two found themselves in a secluded corner, staring at each other from a blind spot.
Amuro Tooru calmed down and carefully reviewed the events of the day. Suddenly, his brow furrowed, and he asked, "Were you sent to infiltrate that organization?"
Clearly, he was the one who orchestrated the Black Organization's repossession of the drugs.
After calming down, Midorikawa Hikaru keenly guessed something. He nodded: "Yes, I've now become a low-level staff member. I'm here to wrap up the mission."
After answering Amuro Tooru's question, Midorikawa Hikaru glanced at him a few times and asked, "Were you also sent to infiltrate?"
Amuro Tooru noticed his gaze and gave him a helpless look. He rubbed his forehead and said with a headache, "The only way for me to join that organization is through today's plan set up by the Yamaguchi-gumi. Originally, I planned to make my presence known first and then join the organization through another channel."
Then, unexpectedly, today I first encountered the somewhat dim-witted Tsurumi Ryu, and then my childhood friend who was also sent to infiltrate.
Upon hearing Amuro Tooru's words, Midorikawa Hikaru's eyes immediately lit up.
Although they were both in the public security system, they were unaware of each other's undercover mission; they were probably sent out one after the other.
If it weren't for this operation, they might have had to wait until Amuro Tooru officially joined the Black Organization as a member and then their paths crossed on some missions before they met.
Amuro Tooru had obviously thought of this as well, and his expression turned somewhat grim. Knowing Midorikawa Hikaru's mission, he cut to the chase: "Hiro, I've sent the batch of drugs that the organization lost back for testing. I suspect that the organization's research in recent years is related to this drug."
After stating his guess, Amuro Tooru turned to ask with concern, "By the way, have you met your other collaborator on this mission?"
Hikaru Midorikawa also had some suspicions about the drug, which is why he secretly used test tubes to disguise it.
Hikaru Midorikawa: "He got his information from you."
Amuro Tooru nodded, a glint of cunning flashing in his eyes: "I want to get into that organization through him."
Hikaru Midorikawa paused for a moment, then nodded and said, "He's from the intelligence team; perhaps we can uncover some of the organization's core secrets from there."
The two exchanged a few brief words. Midorikawa left behind a secret method for communication, then suddenly remembered the bombs planted in the warehouse. He told Amuro about the bombs and discussed how the organization had handled the missing drugs, further confirming their suspicions.

My laptop malfunctioned, so I reinstalled the system, which took all morning. Then I discovered that a lot of the information I was looking up was missing (facepalm emoji).
