Seeing a hint of recognition between Mu Han's eyebrows, Lu Zhi felt relieved. He held his hand tightly and said softly, "I'm glad you like it. Let's go eat."

As he said that, he took Mu Han's hand and walked downstairs. There was warmth where their fingertips touched. Mu Han wanted to pull his hand back, but he held it even tighter.

Arriving at the restaurant, the two had just sat down at the dining table when several uniformed servants came in one after another carrying plates of food. Exquisite dishes were placed on the table one by one, and soon the huge dining table was filled to the brim. The aroma of food permeated the air with hot steam.

"Hanhan, eat." Lu Zhizhi picked up the serving chopsticks, picked up a piece of crystal shrimp dumplings that Mu Han liked and put it in his bowl. His eyes were gentle but with a little imperceptible nervousness, as if he was expecting his reaction.

Mu Han didn't say anything, but silently picked up his chopsticks and picked up the shrimp dumplings, chewing them in small bites. But his heart was in turmoil, and after a few bites, he felt that the food had lost its taste. He put down his chopsticks and said expressionlessly, "I'm done eating. I have something else to do. I'm leaving now."

"Yeah, okay." Lu Zhizhi didn't stop him, but just reminded him, "Remember not to come back too late at night."

Mu Han didn't respond and walked out of the villa without looking back. As soon as he reached the door, he saw Luo Wanghan running over and hugged his arm, his face full of grievance: "Brother Han, you are finally here!"

After releasing his hand, Luo Wanghan looked him up and down and asked with concern: "Are you feeling better now about what happened a few days ago?"

Mu Han smiled and nodded seriously: "It's okay, don't worry."

The two chatted for a few minutes before going about their own business. Mu Han returned to his studio, looking at the familiar easel and paints, but he couldn't muster any interest. Everything that had happened recently seemed like a bizarre dream—his father's illness, the company's crisis, the three-year contract with Lu Zhizhi... He didn't even know how to bring this up with his mother and Han Yi.

I don't know how long I sat in the studio when Luo Wanghan suddenly pushed the door open and came in. The two looked at each other. Luo Wanghan panted and said solemnly, "Brother Han, Lu Zhizhi is looking for you."

Mu Han was silent for a moment, then stood up and said, "I'll go take a look."

He strode out of the studio and saw Lu Zhizhi sitting on the sofa in the living room from a distance, his back straight, as if he had been waiting quietly for a long time. Seeing Mu Han coming, Lu Zhizhi immediately stood up, a glint in his eyes.

"Let's talk outside." Mu Han's tone was cold, yet politely distant.

The two of them walked out of the house one after the other, leaving Luo Wanghan alone, confused. As soon as they reached the yard, Mu Han stopped and asked directly, "What's the matter?"

Lu Zhizhi smiled and said cheerfully, "I'll take you home. I told you to come back early."

Mu Han was silent for a while and said, "I'll go tell Luo Wanghan." Then he turned around and went back to the house.

Lu Zhizhi stood there, watching Mu Han and Luo Wanghan talking from afar, with a relaxed smile on their faces that he hadn't seen in a long time. He felt like something stung his heart, and a sense of loss slowly welled up in him.

Not long after, Mu Han came over. Lu Zhizhi immediately suppressed his disappointment and smiled gently, but Mu Han just glanced at him coldly, opened the passenger door and got in. The smile on Lu Zhizhi's face faded little by little, and he got into the car silently.

There was silence along the way. Lu Zhizhi tried to say something several times, but was silenced by Mu Han's cold gaze. In the end, the only sound in the carriage was the low hum of the engine.

As soon as they entered the villa, Lu Zhizhi said gently, "Come with me to the study."

Mu Han followed him reluctantly and stopped in front of the desk in the study. Lu Zhizhi walked to the cabinet next to him, opened the drawer, and took out an exquisite velvet box. When he turned around, he had an unconcealable smile on his face.

He stood before Mu Han and slowly opened the box. Inside lay two rings. At first glance, they were a calm, medium-grey color, but upon closer inspection, a faint, dark red hue shone through. Though unset with diamonds, the rings possessed a warm, smooth texture under the light. Both rings were engraved with the initials "LZZ" and "MH."

Before Mu Han could react, Lu Zhizhi had already picked up the ring engraved with "MH" and gently slipped it onto his ring finger. It was the perfect size, neither too big nor too small, clearly tailor-made. Then, Lu Zhizhi placed the other ring on his own hand, then took his hand, interlocking their fingers.

With a "snap" sound, Mu Han pulled his hand back abruptly, cleared his throat to hide his panic, and asked, "What's this for?"

"Nothing." Lu Zhizhi said calmly, "We are husband and wife now, and we don't even have wedding rings. What a shame."

"Okay." Mu Han turned his face away and said coldly, "Anything else?"

Lu Zhizhi didn't answer directly. He walked to the desk and sat down. He looked up at him and suddenly a sad smile appeared on his face: "Come here."

Mu Han looked at his already cold face, which now looked a bit strange with that smile. Her heart tightened inexplicably, but she still walked over. As soon as she stood beside him, Lu Zhizhi used his eyes to signal him to sit on his lap. Mu Han pretended not to see it, trying to fool him, but the next second, Lu Zhizhi grabbed her waist, and she lost her balance and fell into his arms.

Lu Zhizhi hugged him tightly, his arms tightening so that he couldn't move. He deliberately leaned back, and Mu Han subconsciously hugged his neck. Their noses almost touched, their breaths mingled, and the atmosphere instantly became ambiguous and tense.

Mu Han was struggling to remember, but the computer suddenly made a "ding dong" sound.

He suddenly froze. Lu Zhizhi reached out a hand and gently touched his head, his tone doting and gentle: "Hanhan, don't move. We have to start a video conference."

Mu Han was about to struggle when a group of voices suddenly rang out from the computer, shouting in unison, "Hello, Boss! Hello, Boss Lady!"

Mu Han froze, as if under a spell, and remained motionless. Then, a voice jokingly said, "Madam, why don't you turn around and let us see?"

Mu Han lowered his head even lower, refusing to turn around. Someone else laughed and said, "The boss and his wife are really messing around. They stick together even during meetings."

A low laugh echoed around them, and Mu Han's face flushed crimson instantly, but he remained silent. Lu Zhizhi coughed lightly and said seriously, "Okay, let's start the meeting."

The meeting officially began, and Mu Han wanted to get up but couldn't move, so he could only maintain the posture of sitting in Lu Zhizhi's arms. After a while, his legs became numb from sitting, and he couldn't help but move quietly on Lu Zhizhi, trying to find a more comfortable position.

Half an hour later, the video conference finally ended, and Lu Zhizhi quickly hung up the phone. Mu Han immediately looked up, his tone filled with suppressed anger: "Can I get up now?"
