Feng Haidong lived an unremarkable life and passed away peacefully. After his death, he found himself back in 1996.
Now in his prime at the age of thirty, Feng Haidong resolves to try just a ...
Feng Haidong and his brother-in-law listened at the door for a while, and then Feng Haidong went up and knocked on the door.
Upon hearing the knock on the door, the arguing inside immediately ceased.
Soon the courtyard gate was opened, and a young man who looked to be no more than twenty years old poked his head out.
Who are you looking for?
Feng Haidong smiled and asked, "Excuse me, is this the home of Master Liang at the breeding farm?"
The young man agreed, saying, "Yes."
Then the young man turned and shouted into the yard, "Dad, someone's looking for you."
Soon, a middle-aged man, around fifty years old, walked over and looked at Feng Haidong and Fang Jianxing at the door, asking, "Did you come to see me? What can I do for you?"
Feng Haidong immediately smiled and said, "Hello, Master Liang, we came from out of town specifically to learn the technique of net fish farming."
The middle-aged man, Liang Zhigang, was somewhat surprised: "You came here specifically to learn how to raise fish with nets?"
Feng Haidong said, "Yes, our town has been allowing people to develop some economic industries in recent years. We heard that your aquaculture farm is famous for its net-fish farming technology, so we came here specifically to learn from you."
After listening to Feng Haidong's words, Liang Zhigang chatted with Feng Haidong and Fang Jianxing for a while.
He nodded and said, "Oh, your town is on the shore of Gaotang Lake? I know that place. I've been there before with people from the factory. The waters there are quite similar to ours."
Upon hearing that the other party had been to his hometown, Feng Haidong quickly said, "So you've been there, Master Liang? That's wonderful! My brother-in-law and I are currently planning to lease a body of water for net aquaculture, so we came here specifically to ask you for some technical advice. We hope you can provide us with some guidance."
At this point, Feng Haidong added, "Just tell me how much guidance fee you need."
Upon hearing this, Liang Zhigang immediately retorted, "What kind of talk is that? Do you think I still want your money?"
Feng Haidong quickly said, "No, no, it's just that we've heard that Master Liang's skills are really amazing. Many fishermen here rely on your technical guidance, so we can't let you guide us for nothing."
Liang Zhigang said, "Let me tell you, I not only teach our local fishermen for free, but I also don't charge fishermen from the surrounding areas who come to ask me for advice. Although times have changed, I still remember that I am the son of a farmer. I learned a lot of skills, just to make the lives of farmers and fishermen better."
After hearing these words, Feng Haidong was truly moved by Liang Zhigang.
He couldn't help but sigh: Indeed, in this day and age, people are still more simple and honest. Technicians like Liang Zhigang genuinely want to do something for the countryside.
Many of them ask for nothing in return; they simply hope that farmers can truly become wealthy.
In fact, Feng Haidong had the same idea.
The reason he brought his brother-in-law to find crayfish farming technology was so that it could be promoted in the villages around his hometown, allowing his brother-in-law and the villagers to have more income and improve their lives, instead of having to choose to work away from home.
Of course, Feng Haidong is not as selfless as Liang Zhigang.
He was more concerned about his elder sister's family and the villagers in Feng Village.
Fang Jianxing was even more excited than Feng Haidong when he heard Liang Zhigang's words.
“Master Liang, you are really too kind. On the way here, my brother-in-law and I were worried that it would be difficult to learn the skills here.”
Seeing Fang Jianxing's excited expression, Liang Zhigang then sized up Feng Haidong.
He suddenly smiled and asked, "I see you came all this way not just to learn fish farming techniques, right?"
Feng Haidong didn't hide anything and said directly, "I can't hide it from you. Actually, we came here specifically to find out about crayfish farming techniques."
Upon hearing this, Liang Zhigang's son immediately perked up.
Are you also planning to farm red swamp crayfish over there?
Feng Haidong said with a smile, "That's right. I run a crayfish restaurant in the city, but the competition in the city is quite fierce now. I'm worried that if crayfish become popular in the future, I won't be able to guarantee my supply. So I thought I'd ask my brother-in-law and the villagers to raise them in my hometown."
Upon hearing this, Liang Zhigang immediately laughed: "You certainly have some ideas. You run a restaurant that serves crayfish, yet you want to raise your own crayfish?"
Feng Haidong said, "Master Liang, please don't laugh at me. On the one hand, I want to ensure the supply of ingredients for my own restaurant, and on the other hand, I want to find a way for the older women in the countryside and the villagers to make money."
Liang Zhigang said, "Yes, your idea is very good. There aren't many people who are willing to consider their hometown like this nowadays."
Feng Haidong smiled and said, "Master Liang, please don't flatter me. I'm mainly doing this for the sake of my own restaurant's business."
Liang Zhigang laughed and said, "Haha, it's understandable to do this for your restaurant's business. Only if your restaurant does well can you guarantee that shrimp farming in the countryside will be profitable."
Upon hearing this, Feng Haidong immediately said, "Yes, yes, Master Liang, you are absolutely right."
Liang Zhigang then invited Feng Haidong and Fang Jianxing to come inside.
Perhaps because they saw that Feng Haidong and his family were very honest, Liang Zhigang and his son warmly received them and answered all of Feng Haidong's questions about fish and shrimp farming without reservation.
Feng Haidong really broadened his horizons a lot through chatting with Liang Zhigang.
This is probably the first time I've learned that there are so many intricacies behind fish and shrimp farming.
After chatting with Liang Zhigang, Feng Haidong couldn't help but feel fortunate that he hadn't rashly let his brother-in-law and the villagers try raising livestock without understanding the specific situation or mastering the technology.
