Wang Peng has been reborn. He has returned to the day when his father forced him to give his college admission notice to his younger brother and dropped out of school to work and support his brothe...
Wang Peng returned home at midnight.
As soon as I took out my keys and opened the door, the bedroom light turned on, and the bedroom door opened a crack.
“Mingzhu, it’s me,” Wang Peng said.
"Brother, you scared me to death!" Li Mingzhu ran out carrying a kitchen knife.
Halfway there, she threw the kitchen knife on the floor, grabbed her boyfriend's neck, and said, "I thought we'd been robbed."
Wang Peng scratched his head, seeing that she looked shaken, and realized it didn't seem like she was faking it.
"I came here from Ping'an County at five o'clock in the afternoon. I took Feng Dali home, then went to the shop to check on things, so I came back late."
Wang Peng said, "If this happens again, just go to your mom's house for the night."
"It's so late, is Du Lei still open for business?" Li Mingzhu asked.
Wang Peng nodded, "We just received a big order yesterday and earned 360 yuan, so Du Lei is very motivated."
Knowing about the Feng family's orders, Li Mingzhu laughed and said, "If we get ten orders like this every month, we'll be rich."
"It'll happen gradually." Wang Peng glanced at his watch and said, "It's getting late, let's go to sleep."
The next morning, the two went to school for class; today was the official start of the school year.
After parking his car, Wang Peng returned to the classroom and sat down in an empty seat.
"Hey Lao Liu, where have you been these past few days?" his roommate Zhao Long asked, leaning over. "Counselor Xue is looking for you."
Counselors are public employees in universities who are responsible for students' ideological and political education and daily management.
"Third Brother, what's the counselor's last name? Where's his office?" Wang Peng asked.
Just then, the school bell rang.
"I'll take you to her after school at noon," Zhao Long said.
This is a college English class. The teacher first introduces himself and then begins the lesson.
At noon, Zhao Long brought Wang Peng to the counselor's office.
Xue Fengling is the instructor of Wang Peng's class.
She was under thirty years old, dressed in denim, with regular features and a great figure.
"Hello teacher, my name is Wang Peng. I have some things to take care of at home these past few days." Wang Peng briefly explained his situation.
There were five counselors in the office, all of whom were looking at Wang Peng.
"You're the Wang classmate who drives a Santana to school?" Xue Fengling said with a smile. "Classmate, remember to ask for leave next time."
"Okay, sorry," Wang Peng said. "My home is in the provincial capital, which is a bit far from here, so I drove."
“No problem,” Xue Fengli said. “Wang, if you encounter any unpleasant things in life in the future, feel free to contact me.”
"Okay, thank you, teacher," Wang Peng said.
After chatting for a few more minutes, Wang Peng and Zhao Long returned to their dormitory.
My roommates were all lying in bed reading martial arts novels. We chatted for a bit, then went back to bed.
Wang Peng slept until 2 p.m., too lazy to go to self-study class, and continued to sleep in his dormitory.
In a daze, someone woke him up; it was his counselor, Xue Fengling.
"Xiaopeng, although university courses are easier than high school courses, you still need to manage your study time properly."
Xue Fengling said softly, "If you fail your courses and can't graduate, that will be troublesome."
"Teacher, it's only the beginning of the semester, it's a bit early to talk about graduation."
Wang Peng yawned and asked, "What kind of clubs does our school have? Does it encourage college students to start their own businesses?"
Xue Fengling couldn't keep up with his train of thought and laughed, "There are many clubs, such as football, basketball, chess, painting, etc."
"There are no clear regulations on college students starting businesses, and the school's attitude is ambiguous," she added.
"I understand, thank you, teacher."
Wang Peng casually picked up two books from the desk and said, "Teacher, is there anything else you need?"
"Xiaopeng, are you free tomorrow afternoon?"
Xue Fengling laughed and said, "My family is forcing me to go on blind dates. My mom nags me every day, it's driving me crazy."
"You still need to go on blind dates? The number of people pursuing you could probably circle the globe."
Wang Peng immediately understood what she meant and said, "I'm sorry, I have something to do tomorrow, I really don't have time."
Xue Fengling was taken aback, then laughed and said, "It's nothing. I originally wanted to use your car as a shield to make my blind date think he's not good enough for me."
"Let's do it another day," Wang Peng said. "My home renovation company calls tomorrow; I was just about to ask you for the afternoon off."
"Okay, remember to give me the leave slip." Xue Fengling waved her hand. "I'm leaving now, you go to class."
After saying that, she turned and left the dormitory, immediately pouting to express her dissatisfaction.
Wang Peng smiled slightly. What a terrible guy, wanting to borrow my car on our first meeting.
Borrowing a car to go on a blind date is either driven by vanity or a desire to show off in front of the guy.
Wang Peng left his dormitory and went to the classroom to study.
Only half the students were present. His roommate, Zhao Long, saw him and walked out of the classroom carrying his textbooks.
"Sixth brother, the eldest brother has made plans with the girl from room 507 of the art department to go to a karaoke bar tonight."
Zhao Long grinned lewdly and said, "There are two very pretty girls inside."
"You guys go ahead, I'm going home to cook for my wife."
Wang Peng whispered, "How do we plan to have this social event? Are we going to chip in and treat them to a free meal and karaoke?"
“Yes, that’s right,” Zhao Long laughed. “We can’t let them pay when we invite them, can we?”
“Besides, when boys and girls go out together, how can the girl pay?” he added.
Wang Peng immediately labeled him a "simp".
"My girlfriend is staying at my place, so please don't invite me to these kinds of events in the future."
Wang Peng patted him on the shoulder and laughed, "If you're bored, go play video games. Don't always think about picking up girls."
