Return to '93: Family Split at the Start, the Ungrateful Ones Cried Tears of Regret

Wang Peng has been reborn. He has returned to the day when his father forced him to give his college admission notice to his younger brother and dropped out of school to work and support his brothe...

Chapter 73 Getting Drunk

Wang Peng carried Chen Qingshu to the bedroom, panting heavily from exhaustion.

"Hey buddy, I remember you can hold your liquor pretty well, a bottle of baijiu doesn't make you drunk at all."

"We just drank two bottles, how come you blacked out?"

"She's just a scumbag woman, is it really necessary for her to drown her sorrows in alcohol? Is it really that serious?"

Wang Peng grumbled as he took off his clothes.

Woohoo...

"Holy crap!" Wang Peng hurriedly backed away.

Chen Qingshu vomited all over the bed.

The smell of alcohol and the sour smell of food mingled together and filled the air.

"Damn it, you can just lie down." Wang Peng turned and left.

I walked to the restaurant, paid the bill from the restaurant owner, and rode my bicycle back to the dormitory.

"No, he looks too pitiful." Wang Peng turned his bike around and rode home.

Flashlights were turned on in the yard again.

"Second Uncle, it's me," Wang Peng said hurriedly.

"Why are you back again?" Li Guixi yawned and used her flashlight to light the way.

"I need to talk to Sister Fang. You should go to sleep first." Wang Peng walked to the door of the east room and knocked gently. "Sister Fang, Sister Fang."

"What's wrong? It's so late." Li Guixi asked with some concern.

The lights were turned on in the east room.

"Pengdi, wait a moment, I'll put on my clothes," Li Fang said.

A few minutes later, the door opened.

Li Fang was already dressed. "Pengdi, what's up?"

"We'll talk about school matters as we walk," Wang Peng said, regardless of whether it was true or not.

The second uncle trusted Wang Peng, so he didn't ask any more questions and went back to the shack to continue sleeping.

Wang Peng drove Li Fang away from Xiaowangzhuang.

"Sister Fang, Chen Qingshu is drunk, as drunk as a dog."

"He just threw up all over the bed. Do you want to go to the teachers' dormitory to take care of him?"

At this point, Wang Peng felt a little embarrassed, as if he were acting as a pimp.

“Go if you want, or I’ll take you home if you don’t,” he added.

Li Fang, sitting in the back seat, remained silent.

Another half minute passed, and she still didn't say anything.

This is tacit agreement; if she hadn't wanted to, Li Fang would have refused long ago.

Wang Peng shook his head; his cousin indeed had feelings for Chen Qingshu.

However, Chen Qingshu is also a good match.

The two were husband and wife in a previous life, and their relationship and life were always harmonious. They even had two children.

I arrived at school by bicycle.

Wang Peng led her to Chen Qingshu's dormitory, and was then stunned by what he saw.

Old Chen was lying on the ground, with his blanket lying on the ground.

His face and clothes were covered in vomit, and the stench was so strong that it was hard to open his eyes.

"How much did he drink?"

Li Fang hurriedly grabbed a towel from the washbasin stand and wiped his face clean.

Then they cleaned up the vomit on the bed and removed the pillowcase, not caring about the mess at all.

After tidying up the bed, Wang Peng took off Chen Qingshu's coat and carried him to the bed.

Li Fang opened the thermos, poured in a bowl of water, and swept up the vomit on the floor.

The vomit was quickly cleaned up.

Li Fang opened the window to ventilate the room, and the smell in the dormitory became much better.

“Let’s go, I’ll take you home,” Wang Peng said.

They've taken care of everything that needed to be taken care of; the siblings have done everything they could.

“Pengdi, I want to wash his clothes, because it’s hard to wash them once the dirt has dried.”

"We are able to do stationery business thanks to Mr. Chen's help, so it is only right that we take care of him."

"Alright, alright." Wang Peng had a bit of a headache. "If you want to serve him here, then stay here."

After saying that, he turned and left Old Chen's dormitory.

Both of them are adults and have the ability to distinguish right from wrong, so he doesn't need to worry about them.

In the dormitory.

Li Fang moved a chair next to the desk and sat by the bed to watch over Chen Qingshu.

After an unknown amount of time, Chen Qingshu finally spoke, "Water, water."

Li Fang was startled awake and hurriedly tasted the water in the bowl.

Pour out half of the water, add half a bowl of hot water, and then forcefully lift him up.

Chen Qingshu opened his eyes to look at her, then closed them again and drank the water in the bowl in one gulp.

"Teacher Chen, do you still want to drink?" Li Fang asked timidly.

The only response she received was snoring; Chen Qingshan was already asleep.

Li Fang was wide awake. She glanced at the alarm clock on her desk; it was already 2:30 a.m.

She took a laundry basin from under the bed and went to the bathroom in the hallway to fetch water.

I turned off the main light, turned on the small desk lamp, and started washing Chen Qingshu's clothes.

At 4:10 a.m., all the clothes were washed and hung on the clothes rack next to the window.

She tiptoed to the bedside, covered Chen Qingshu with a blanket, turned off the small lamp, and waited until five o'clock in the morning.

We have to attend morning self-study at 6:00 AM.

Li Fang hesitated for a few seconds, then tiptoed out of Chen Qingshu's dormitory.

The floor is full of teachers, and they also need to get up to tutor students during morning self-study. Li Fang didn't want them to misunderstand.

With a click, the door closed, and Li Fang left with a flashlight.

Chen Qingshan opened his eyes, looked at the dormitory door, and a bitter smile appeared on his lips.

She rolled over and sat up on the bed, rubbing her aching head. "Don't do this, I'm not good enough for you."

At 6:30 a.m., Li Fang arrived at Class 1's classroom again, carrying her lunchbox.

When Wang Peng saw his cousin, he hurriedly left the classroom.

"Peng, I made you some millet porridge." She handed the lunchbox to Wang Peng.

Then she handed him the backpack, which contained a ballpoint pen and pen refills.

"I want to set up a stall near the entrance of No. 3 Middle School. Can I use your bicycle?" she said.

The porridge in the lunchbox was clearly intended for two people.

"Don't be so nice to him," Wang Peng said with a wry smile.

"No," Li Fang retorted. "He's always taken care of your studies, so it's only right that I take care of him this once."

"Okay, but be careful." Wang Peng handed her the keys and said, "Third Middle School is a bit chaotic, so be careful."
