A friend of Xu Yanfeng met an acquaintance at a hotel.
That acquaintance was none other than Xu Yanfeng's girlfriend from university, who was now a thing of the past.
The two greete...
In the end, Xia Xi entered Xu Yanfeng's room as she wished, but in fact, their relationship was very pure, without even a kiss. He poured her a glass of lime juice to go with her small cake.
Someone called Xu Yanfeng. He stood in front of the window and answered two calls in a row. His phone was running out of battery, so he walked to the bed, plugged in the charging cable, and then sat next to Xia Xi.
The cake was placed on the coffee table, and she had eaten most of it. She leaned on the armrest of the sofa, looking at her phone. She felt the sofa beside her legs collapse, and she raised her eyes: "Do you want to eat cake?"
Xu Yanfeng shook his head. The wind and rain were raging outside, but the room was warm and quiet. He didn't want to do anything but stay with her quietly.
Xia Xi picked up a spoon, scooped out a small piece of cake, and passed it to Xu Yanfeng's mouth, touching his lips: "Try it, it's not very sweet, it tastes like grapefruit."
Xu Yanfeng wiped the cream off his lips and opened his mouth to eat. It wasn't very sweet, but he still didn't like it. Xia Xi saw it and laughed. She didn't force him to take a second bite, scooping a spoonful into her own mouth.
Time passed so slowly, it would be boring if I didn't find something to do. Xia Xi threw her cell phone away, knelt down, crossed one leg over Xu Yanfeng's legs, faced him, and sat on his lap.
Xu Yanfeng was afraid that she would fall, so he had to sit back, leaning his back against the sofa. His hands naturally rested on her waist, his eyes lowered, and his voice was so low that it could not be heard: "You are not honest."
Raindrops hit the glass, creating a natural white noise. Xia Xi raised the corners of her lips and smiled softly: "When have I ever been honest?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she hugged his neck, pushed him down, and kissed him.
The taste of grapefruit mixed with white chocolate, I don’t know whose mouth has a stronger taste.
He was wearing a pure white cross-collared bathrobe, his hair was half wet and dark, revealing thin collarbones on both sides, and his skin was as white as porcelain, which was very attractive.
At times like this, time seems to pass so quickly that you're out of breath and have to stop. The depths of Xu Yanfeng's eyes were darker than the gloomy sky outside the window, as if dark clouds were rolling in.
Like him, Xia Xi's eyes were no longer clear, but covered with a layer of mist. Her body was too soft to sit up straight. She nestled in his arms like a boneless person, her face pressed against his chest, her ear facing his heart, and she could hear the deafening heartbeat.
She raised her head and saw his tight and clear jawline. She reached out to touch his face, and he lowered his head to look at her.
Xia Xi laughed out loud. It was so inconsistent that he had such a cold and ascetic face but a heartbeat like a drum.
The dark desire in Xu Yanfeng's eyes disappeared, leaving only a blank expression: "What are you laughing at?"
Xia Xi shook his head and refused to say anything.
Xu Yanfeng picked her up and put her aside. She immediately frowned, looking very aggrieved: "Why didn't you hold me?"
"Calm down."
"I don't need to be calm."
"I need to."
“…”
Xia Xi watched Xu Yanfeng stand up and walk away, drinking half a bottle of mineral water in one breath, as if the cold water entering her body could calm the heat. She opened her mouth, wanting to tell him that he didn't need to endure it, but the words slipped between her lips and teeth several times, and she couldn't say them.
To clear his mind of distracting thoughts, Xu Yanfeng found a book, the National Geographic Encyclopedia, and read it very carefully. Only he knew that the words in the book seemed to float before his eyes. If he wasn't serious enough, he might not be able to read a single word.
Xia Xi stayed in the room until after ten o'clock. It was pitch black outside the window. The rain was still falling, but the momentum was much weaker and gradually showed signs of stopping.
Xu Yanfeng didn't check his phone and took off his watch. He didn't know what time it was. He closed the book and put it on the coffee table. He just happened to see Xia Xi yawning with her hands covering her mouth. He asked, "What time is it?"
"Ten twenty." Xia Xi said vaguely.
Xu Yanfeng patted her legs: "Send you back to sleep."
Xia Xi's expression froze for a second: "I'm not sleepy yet." She didn't pretend to be stubborn. Yawning doesn't mean she wants to sleep.
"Even if you're not sleepy, lie down and rest. After a tiring day, lying in bed can help relieve fatigue." Xu Yanfeng held her wrist and pulled her up from the sofa.
"Do you want to listen to how much you sound like an old cadre?"
Xia Xi complained, drooped her shoulders, and dragged her lazy steps as he personally sent her back to the next room.
Xu Yanfeng touched her head and said, "Good night."
Xia Xi didn't even say "good night" to him. She closed the door and went to the bathroom to wash up. She had already washed her shower and hair before dinner, so she didn't plan to wash again. She was done in five minutes and knocked on the door next door.
Xu Yanfeng turned off the ceiling light and left two bedside wall lamps on. Just as he reached the bed, there was a knock on the door. He thought he had misheard and waited for two seconds. Then there were two more knocks.
At this time, it couldn't be the waiter who came to disturb him, could it be Xia Xi? But he had just sent her back.
Xu Yanfeng went to open the door in his slippers. Before he could see clearly, a figure flashed in, jumped up, and hung on him like a human pendant. He was caught off guard and instinctively stretched out his arms to support her hips to prevent her from falling.
Xu Yanfeng couldn't understand what she was doing: "Why are you here again?" His breathing was a little disordered while he spoke, and he adjusted himself secretly.
Xia Xi buried her face in the crook of his neck, her lips rubbing against his skin: "I'm afraid of thunder."
Xu Yanfeng stood still with an intriguing expression: "Xia Xi, tell me, where is the thunder?" The rain was almost stopped, how could there be thunder? He didn't even know how to make up a decent excuse.
"If I say yes, then yes." Xia Xi was unreasonable.
However, within three seconds of her words, a flash of lightning streaked across the dark sky. A winding white-purple light illuminated the room for a moment, then vanished in an instant. Then, thunder roared, and the windowpanes seemed to tremble, a terrifying sight.
