It was impossible to hide the fact that grandma was ill.

Su Jinru knew the restaurant her grandmother and Xia Xi went to together. She called Xia Xi but no one answered. Then she called the hotel and found out what had happened.

"In...which hospital?" Su Jinru clutched her pants on her legs, her vision went dark, her head felt dizzy and buzzing.

The person on the other end of the phone was Aunt Lin, who told her the name of the hospital.

Her phone was charging on the chair, and Xia Yue picked it up and handed it to her.

Xia Xi picked up the phone slowly, and her eyelashes trembled when she saw that it was Xu Yanfeng calling. The three words "Xu Yanfeng" pulled her out of the confined and suffocating space, giving her a breath of fresh air.

Su Jinru shook her head in horror and denied it: "I didn't."

Although she was extremely tolerant of Xia Chenggang, she also knew that there were things she could compromise on and things she couldn't. Xia Chenggang would usually ask her for money, and she wouldn't hesitate. But Peishan Hotel was different. Even though the old lady had passed the restaurant on to her, in her heart, it still belonged to the old lady. Without her approval, she wouldn't give it to anyone else.
