A friend of Xu Yanfeng met an acquaintance at a hotel.
That acquaintance was none other than Xu Yanfeng's girlfriend from university, who was now a thing of the past.
The two greete...
Xia Xi didn't lie. After a pause of two or three seconds, she smiled and said to the host, "I'm not single. I have a boyfriend." After a pause, she changed her words and said, more accurately, "No, it's my fiancé."
The host leaned back, covered his mouth, looked surprised, and said "Congratulations" twice.
"Okay, I guessed it. Xia Gong is so outstanding, there's no way he wouldn't be pursued." The host smiled brightly and continued the topic, "Could you tell me a little bit, is your fiancé also in our industry? What does he do?"
"Well……"
Xia Xi's mind went blank for a moment, and he looked at the host with a half-smile, having the illusion that he was being questioned by the entertainment reporter.
This time she learned her lesson and did not say yes or no, but answered ambiguously: "He has his own career." Of course, she could not reveal Xu Yanfeng's identity, otherwise after the show was broadcast, it would be dug out by someone with ulterior motives, which would cause an uproar.
To be on the safe side, we need to conceal what needs to be concealed. We can't be foolish enough to reveal everything. This is not a talk show.
Xia Xi was proud of her wisdom, but at this moment she could never have imagined that not long after, everything she had carefully concealed would be exposed and completely revealed.
The interview ended, the cameras temporarily turned off, and Xia Xi took a deep breath. Xiao He handed her a glass of water, which she drank in one gulp and placed on the table.
Seeing this, the host gently reassured her: "Don't be nervous. We will also ask some off-topic questions to other guests to increase the topic."
After years of working on the show, she had a hunch that with Xia Xi's looks and personality, she would definitely attract a lot of attention. Therefore, during the recording process, she could leave her with more room for discussion later. This is called foresight.
Xia Xi didn't know what to say, so she just smiled and nodded.
After the other designers finished their makeup and hair, everyone gathered together to take promotional photos, first taking individual photos in turn, and then group photos.
"You stepped on me." said the woman next to her.
"Sorry." Xia Xi subconsciously took a small step to the side and apologized out loud. She paused for two seconds and felt confused when she realized that she didn't seem to have stepped on anyone.
It wasn't like she didn't step on anyone. If she did, she wouldn't feel nothing at all.
Xia Xi glanced at the woman standing beside her. She was not tall, but had a pretty face. Her long curly dark brown hair was draped over her shoulders and one side was tucked behind her ear, revealing the pearl earrings on her ear.
Perhaps noticing Xia Xi looking at her, the woman turned her head and smiled at her: "Is there something wrong?"
Xia Xi should have asked her this question, but she didn't. She lowered her eyes slightly and looked down at her. She spoke in a low voice with a subtle tone: "It's okay, I just want to tell you that you are wrong, I didn't step on you."
The woman's expression froze for a second, a hint of embarrassment on her face, probably because she didn't expect her to be so direct. Her original intention in saying that was to ask Xia Xi to move aside a little and make room for her in the center.
"Maybe I'm wrong." The woman smiled faintly.
"Teacher Xia, please move a little to the side." The photographer gestured.
Xia Xi had no choice but to stand back in his original position as instructed, lowering his head to look at his feet, not even touching the woman next to him, and then raised his head to look at the camera in front of him.
The photographer raised a hand and made an OK sign: "Good, keep it up."
"Click, click", several shutter sounds were heard in succession, and the promotional photos were taken.
The others went to the studio Xia Xi had been to for an interview. With nothing to do, Xia Xi looked at her phone. Bored to death after reading a bunch of messages on social media, Xia Xi clicked on Xu Yanfeng's chat box and harassed him, "What are you doing?" It was Saturday, and he was still home when she left this morning. He probably wasn't planning to go to the office.
Xu Yanfeng: "If you're not recording a show, how come you have time to message me?"
Xia Xi: "Others are being interviewed. I'm done and taking a break."
Xu Yanfeng: "Is it fun?"
Xia Xi complained to him: "It's not fun, it's more tiring than work, I want to go back to work."
Xu Yanfeng: "Just bear with it, I'll accompany you."
Xia Xi smiled like a flower, and he would make her happy. How could he accompany her? She was recording a program, not playing games: "Thank you for making me happy. I suddenly feel less annoyed."
Xu Yanfeng: "I'm not teasing you."
Xia Xi stared at her phone screen intently. Just as she typed out a word, Xiao He knocked on the door and came over to her: "Teacher Xia, the interview over there is over. We are about to officially start recording."
Xia Xi didn't have time to ask Xu Yanfeng what he meant by that, and quickly put away her phone. From the moment she left the lounge, a cameraman carrying a heavy camera followed her.
The director explained the rules off-screen: "There are five houses that need to be renovated. We will draw lots to decide who will choose first, and then the owner of the house will confirm. If the owner of the house has any objections, they can make a replacement."
Besides Xia Xi, another female designer named Liao Wanhua raised her hand and asked, "Don't we just renovate whichever house we draw?"
"No," the director explained to her. "First, you draw a number and choose a house according to the number. The one with the highest number gets to choose first, and then the owner of the house chooses the designer. Ours is a two-way selection process to match the best results."
The other three male designers looked at each other, smiled at the same time, and exclaimed: "The director really knows how to have fun."
The five people drew lots in turn. Liao Wanhua opened the card in her hand and saw the number on it. She jumped up and down excitedly: "I'm number 1! Does this mean I'm the first one to be chosen?!"
The director's voiceover came: "Yes."
