A friend of Xu Yanfeng met an acquaintance at a hotel.
That acquaintance was none other than Xu Yanfeng's girlfriend from university, who was now a thing of the past.
The two greete...
Ling Yan's eyelashes trembled, like the wings of a butterfly soaked in water, looking pitiful. She clutched the corner of Xu Yanfeng's clothes with such force that her fingers turned white: "A Feng..."
Xu Yanfeng didn't look at her again, but stared straight at Xia Xi. Without giving her a chance to refuse, he pulled her to the table where he had sat before.
Ling Yan watched helplessly as the piece of clothing in her hand slipped away. She tried to grab at it in vain, but could only grab air, just like she could never catch Xu Yanfeng.
That was what happened back then. She watched him walk towards Xia Xi, and she could only hide in the dark, watching their sweet time together with a cruel look on her face.
Ling Yan closed her eyes in despair, took a deep breath, and walked out of the restaurant.
She did not leave in a car. Instead, she stood by the roadside, holding the handles of her bag in front of her, and looked through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows at the two figures sitting opposite each other. She had no idea what they were talking about, but it was fine for her to just watch them.
In the restaurant, Xia Xi had a blank expression on her face: "What do you want to talk to me about?"
I have already made it clear what I needed to say last time in the hotel.
Xu Yanfeng didn't say anything, his eyes moving around her face.
Gradually, Xia Xi became restless. The man's gaze seemed to become real, caressing her skin inch by inch.
"Xu Yanfeng, what exactly do you want to say?" Xia Xi looked straight into his eyes.
Xu Yanfeng smiled softly: "Don't call me Mr. Xu anymore?"
Xia Xi was speechless.
To be honest, I felt quite embarrassed that he caught me in such an awkward situation today.
She also wanted to save face, so it was okay for her to be watched by other people, and she would not have any unnecessary emotions. The only thing was that she was most unwilling to show her embarrassing side in front of Xu Yanfeng.
Xu Yanfeng said slowly: "Divorce, taking care of two children, what does that mean?"
Last time in the hotel, he only saw the little girl. Could it be that she has a child?
Xia Xi knew that she couldn't avoid the topic of children, so she said calmly: "Literally."
Xu Yanfeng's eyes were cold, and a sarcastic smile appeared on his lips: "You act like I owe you something. Wasn't I good to you when we were together, Xia Xi?"
The words "Am I not good to you?" made Xia Xi, who was always strong-willed, feel tears in her eyes. She pinched the flesh on her palm, trying to remain calm, not wanting to show weakness in front of him.
How could he be bad to her? He was so good to her, so good to her that all the students in the school knew about his preference for her.
On the contrary, she was the one who let him down and abandoned him.
She owed him.
Xia Xi felt she couldn't stay like this any longer. She wasn't as strong as she thought, and she would collapse sooner or later. She stood up, suppressed the sobs rising in her throat, and said calmly, "I have something else to do. I'm leaving now."
I didn’t say goodbye because I hope we won’t meet again.
She walked so quickly that she almost bumped into the glass of the revolving door. As she left the restaurant, a gust of wind blew, and her eyes finally became wet. Turning her head, she caught a glimpse of Ling Yan standing not far away. The wind blew her long, soft hair, and her small face and slender figure made her look fragile and pitiful.
Ling Yan was also looking at her, hooking her hair with her fingers and tucking it behind her ears. The emotion in her eyes could not be concealed, it was resentment.
Xia Xi knew back then that Ling Yan liked Xu Yanfeng. The look in her eyes seemed to be blaming her for not appearing in front of Xu Yanfeng again.

Ling Yan waited for a long time before Xu Yanfeng came out of the restaurant.
The man held a lit cigarette between his fingers, the sparks flickering in the wind. His eyes were dark, making it hard to guess what he was thinking.
Since he hasn't forgotten Xia Xi yet, does he love that woman more or hate her more?
Ling Yan didn't dare to think too much and walked up to him: "A Feng."
Xu Yanfeng glanced at her calmly, lightly tapped his cigarette with his fingers, and a piece of ash fell off. He frowned slightly: "Why didn't you leave?"
Ling Yan tried to force a smile, her voice as gentle as ever: "Anyway, nothing much, I'll wait for you."
As they walked towards the parking lot, Ling Yan casually mentioned Xia Xi, trying to gauge Xu Yanfeng's attitude towards her: "What a coincidence! I didn't expect to run into Xia Xi here. It seems like she's on... a blind date?"
Xu Yanfeng didn't say anything. He passed by the trash can and flicked the cigarette butt into the ashtray.
His strides were long and fast, and Ling Yan, in her high heels, had trouble keeping up. It looked like she was jogging after him, and her breathing became increasingly rapid. She steeled herself and took a drastic measure: "Isn't she with Zhou Du?"
At the mention of Zhou Du, Xu Yanfeng stopped abruptly, as if slamming on the brakes on the highway. Ling Yan was startled by the low pressure, her mind unsteady, and she twisted her ankle, a piercing pain piercing her.
Xu Yanfeng looked at her coldly: "What do you want to say?"
Just because he can mention Zhou Du himself doesn't mean others can mention him in front of him.
Ling Yan bit her lip to endure the pain, feeling wronged and helpless. She simply gave up trying and said bluntly, "A Feng, I'm worried that you'll be deceived by her again. What she did to you back then was simply toying with you. She doesn't love you."
Xu Yanfeng suddenly laughed, but the smile did not reach his eyes.
Lingyan looked confused and her heart was beating fast.
What is he laughing at?
"I'm an adult with my own judgment, not a three-year-old child. I don't need anyone to teach me what I can and can't do." Xu Yanfeng looked at her coldly, "Do you understand?"
Ling Yan's eyes finally turned red: "What about you, do you still love her? Even if she betrayed you and slept with another man, and you caught her with your own eyes, would you still love her?!"
The words were almost shouted out.
She wanted to tear open the scar in Xu Yanfeng's heart and sprinkle salt on it, so that he would remember the pain he had suffered and would not repeat the same mistake.
Unfortunately, she didn't get an answer.

Xia Xi was in a bad mood and couldn't drive for a while, so he leaned on the steering wheel and closed his eyes to rest.
