Apocalypse降临 + Live Broadcast + National Destiny + Rule Tales怪谈 + Parallel Worlds
Eerie creatures descend upon Earth, rules become humanity's final showdown against the unspeakabl...
Ultimately, the only star is also a world with gods.
Compared to the Blue Planet, where humanity focuses primarily on technological development, the humans of the Unique Planet originally focused on magic, but under unspeakable and forceful interference, they have been forced to cultivate both magic and science.
However, while magic is a strong foundation, technology is weak, and humanity has a long history of distrusting artificial intelligence and habitually keeping backup plans for itself. As a result, even with Eve's support, the prince still didn't have a good solution for those old-fashioned gods.
Yin Zhu and the worm took turns offering numerous suggestions, all of which were rejected by the prince.
As a native-born Class A citizen, he was far more familiar with gods than these lower-level citizens who had never encountered them, and he was also much more aware of how terrifying gods were.
Even a god suffering from mental illness is not easy to deal with.
Rather, a deity with a mental illness is more dangerous. At least a normal deity can be judged by normal human thinking, but a deity with a mental illness might suddenly want to beat you up.
Yin Zhu scratched his head, unable to think of any good solutions. He looked to Hirano Shan for help, trying to get the question directly from her, but all he got was Hirano Shan spreading her hands: "I'm just a child, I don't know anything."
Yeah, right!
Instead of being discouraged, Yin Zhu carefully recalled Hirano Shan's various behaviors before, trying to find clues again.
Yin Zhu didn't possess a photographic memory, but because she paid close attention to Hirano San, she still remembered some of Hirano San's remarks and demeanor. It seemed that Hirano San was very interested in the Godhood Ceremony and that Pandora's Box.
For Yin Zhu, Hirano Shan was like a top student sitting next to her during an exam. You could guess which option (A, B, C, or D) he had marked by peeking at how many strokes he made. He could have finished the exam quickly and gotten 100 points long ago; now he was just leisurely waiting for her and secretly observing her.
However, back on Earth, school exams were divided into A and B versions, so there was no point in sneaking a peek, since everyone was taking different questions—humanity is constantly making progress in preventing cheating.
Having made a general guess, the next step is to prove it.
“Sitting here thinking won’t make any progress. Why don’t we go out and explore?” Yin Zhu stretched lazily. “A lot of things have changed. Prince, your theory may not be applicable. We need to analyze each case specifically.”
To be honest, Yin Zhu had graduated several years ago and had forgotten most of what she knew.
Even if she studied humanities in college, if you ask her to recall the political knowledge points she memorized in high school, she can probably only give you three pieces: "Analyze specific problems in specific ways," "Live within your means and consume moderately," and "Social existence determines social consciousness."
But occasionally, when I casually mention something in a conversation with a friend, they'll look at me with surprise and say, "You're so good at studying, you even remember that?"
However, these three sentences were indeed the most useful to Yin Zhu.
The former requires Yin Zhu to remain rational at all times and consider real-world variables; the latter requires Yin Zhu to take a holistic approach and, in turn, judge the public's thoughts and values.
As for the middle part... it ensures that Yin Zhu won't spend money recklessly, so that she won't run out of money and have to go home and tell her mom or sister, "I'm broke, I'm starving, Mom and Dad, sister, can you lend me some money to tide me over?"
Just thinking about that scene made Yin Zhu feel ashamed.
The worm didn't disagree with Yin Zhu's suggestion. Instead, because Yin Zhu had subtly criticized the prince, it suppressed a smile and agreed, "I agree as well. They may have already discovered the situation at Shenyin Tower. One of Bamboo's rules distinguishes between humans and infected people. They can easily guess that there are normal people behind it, and they may be targeted."
“I think we can split into two groups, with one person in each group who has computer skills. As for Nazar, he can stay home and lay low for a while.” Hirano San, unusually, did not suggest going with Yin Zhu.
"Then I'll team up with Bamboo." The worm subconsciously chose someone it was more familiar with as its teammate.
“Then I’ll be in a group with Your Highness.” Hirano San’s politeness pleased the prince, and he did not object: “Alright, let’s all go out and see what’s going on outside. Nazar, you stay at home and hide. If there’s nothing going on outside, we’ll let you out.”
"..." Yin Zhu sensed something was wrong.
Hirano San and Prince are both minors, so they should know that it would be better to add an adult to the list of minors. However, since no one has any objections, it feels a bit like I'm just being argumentative if I bring it up now.
Considering the good security in the inner city of Vena, and with Eve looking after the child, Hirano San and the Prince's combined abilities probably overwhelmed Yin Zhu and the worm. In the end, Yin Zhu opened her mouth but said nothing, though the bad feeling in her heart grew stronger.
With the B-level citizen Good Spirit Officer provided by the prince, and with Eve giving them false identities, Yin Zhu transformed into citizen B-66-2008 once again.
Yin Zhu specially chose an auspicious number, hoping that everything would go smoothly in the dungeon.
...
He plunged the knife into the monster's body, and blood splattered all over Chen Junyu's face and clothes.
Perhaps it wasn't even blood, because it was green.
As his body surged with power, Chen Junyu knew he was right; he was going to wipe out this group of "gods" from the inner city. The only problem was that he was livestreaming, and everyone in the livestream was watching him kill—no, kill monsters.
The audience on Earth shouldn't blame themselves.
The gods in the inner city have long since turned into all sorts of monsters. They use the lower classes for human modification experiments, and then use the ones with the higher success rate on themselves.
