Are you asleep?
Louis overheard someone in the next shop whispering a question to him.
The voice sounded familiar; it must also be a member of Alice's group. However, out of caution, Louis didn't speak, fearing that the strange man might turn around and launch a surprise attack.
After all, none of the kids in the kindergarten are innocent; they might be plotting something bad.
That person wasn't actually asking about Louis.
So Louis heard a girl's voice reply, "Hmm. What's wrong with Lyca? How could he be so careless?"
Because the two people were speaking very softly, their conversation could only be faintly heard from the bed closest to them. Louis wanted to open his eyes to see the others, but remembering his friend's advice, he suppressed his curiosity and simply lay motionless in bed with his eyes closed.
Upon hearing the name "Leica," Louis realized who had been captured and felt a little sad for him.
After all, it's a human life.
Although he didn't know what heinous crimes Lyca had committed before coming to Sin City, at this moment, Louis had to say:
Good riddance!
"I think it was them. Those clueless guys have become the teacher's lackeys, trying to get rewards from the teacher by killing other people," the boy guessed to himself.
"There aren't many girls as calm and outstanding as Alice. Those women will sell themselves sooner or later." The girl snorted, and perhaps because her voice was a little too loud, the footsteps started moving in their direction again.
The two people who were talking quickly shut up and continued to pretend to be asleep.
Louis had long noticed that the class was roughly divided into two groups, and apart from a few children who were not related to either group, the others would be somewhat distant from each other.
He hadn't understood why those children wanted to harm him before, but after hearing Alice's side of the story, he had a rough idea. Regardless of which side they were on, they were essentially all trying to gain more for themselves; they just chose completely different paths.
The Alice faction tends to confront the teacher directly, while the other faction betrays other children for personal gain.
From Alice's perspective, the other faction naturally seemed utterly confused. As someone who had been framed by them once, Louis would never consider joining them again.
However, to be fair, Louis did not think the other faction was foolish. Unlike himself, they were natives who would stay in Sin City for a long time, and being able to live in harmony with their teacher and receive care was a reasonable choice.
They're all in Sin City, trying to survive by stepping on other people's lives. What's the difference between them?
Louis also remembered the girl who overly praised Alice.
Her code name was Meret (Pearl).
Meredith is one of the few girls in the Alice group, making it hard for Louis not to notice her.
However, her existence is often just used to praise Alice. But no matter how smart, independent, or outstanding Alice is, what does it have to do with you, a mere follower?
As for Merete's disdain for the other group of girls, Louis didn't understand it at all. If Louis hadn't been tricked by them once, thus creating a grudge, he would actually have been quite willing to join that group that was mostly female, which better suited his life on Earth where he was often surrounded by women.
Although they might not be willing to let Louis join them.
Given his current situation, Louis knew he desperately needed to join a group to obtain more information. His goal was to complete the entire Grand Theft Auto dungeon, and he couldn't let this kindergarten hold him back.
Regardless of how much magic Alice had given Meret, Louis still admired Alice's ability to brainwash others. After all, being able to make others blindly follow you is a manifestation of personal charisma.
Louis closed his eyes and pondered, then unknowingly drifted off to sleep in his warm bed.
It lasted until 7 a.m.
Yin Zhu slept soundly as usual, stretched out a big yawn, then quickly washed up and changed clothes before rushing to the student dormitory.
Teachers from other classes were already there. When they saw Yin Zhu coming over, they nodded to her.
Yesterday, Teacher Huang, who helped Yin Zhu wake the children up, was no longer there, so now only Yin Zhu was doing it. Fortunately, the staff handbook clearly stated this, and as long as the procedure was followed, there would be no problem. Yin Zhu easily counted the number of children, made sure that every child was dressed, and then took the children to have breakfast.
Because their familiar teacher was absent, several children silently looked at each other for a long time before finally one girl stepped forward and struck up a conversation with Yin Zhu:
"Teacher Hao, where's Teacher Huang? Why is she gone?"
"I don't know."
Yin Zhu smiled and gave her usual, universally applicable, perfunctory answer.
"But Teacher Huang was here yesterday." Her face scrunched up like a little bun, making her look very cute.
Yin Zhu smiled and made up a lie: "Maybe it was eaten by a monster?"
She genuinely didn't know the consequences of Teacher Huang being taken away, so it wasn't entirely intentional concealment. In fact, Yin Zhu originally planned to use the mirror ghost replacing the water ghost to plot against these children, but since Teacher Huang happened to be there, Yin Zhu simply went ahead and gave him a push.
Anyway, it doesn't matter who you hurt, and besides, if Teacher Huang is left around, what if she urges Yin Zhu to frame Yu Taozi again? Yin Zhu doesn't want to do anything, but if she does nothing, it's hard to explain to Teacher Huang.
Teacher Huang presented Yin Zhu with a difficult problem to balance, and the pool incident presented her with another opportunity. So, Yin Zhu decided to take advantage of the situation and deal with the person who raised the problem.
It can only be said that you should take advantage of your illness to kill you.
Not getting the answer she wanted, the little girl returned to her group and told the other girls about it, causing several of them to frown.
"So... what agreement did they make with Teacher Huang?" Yin Zhu took in the whole scene, and the smile on her lips became more genuine.
It seems that getting rid of Teacher Huang has caused them a lot of trouble.
Based on Teacher Huang's previous communication with Yin Zhu, Yin Zhu actually suspected that Teacher Huang was planning to tell her information little by little, and that sending the peach into the meditation room was a test to join the group. After Yin Zhu completed the test, Teacher Huang would tell her about the situation in the class.
However, Yin Zhu preferred Yu Taozi to Teacher Huang.
Putting aside the fact that Taozi is just a harmless little girl at this point, even if Taozi were also a teacher, her admiration for Yinzhu would be more effective than Teacher Huang's admiration for Yinzhu.
Because Yin Zhu has another plan, and she needs Taozi as a stepping stone.
