Chapter 20 Animal Farm 3

The tiger-headed man hesitated for a moment.

Do they smell as good as you?

Bai Sang calmly shook her head.

"No, they smell better than me."

Better to die than to die, my friend. Perfect.

Tiger-headed Man left with great interest, while Bai Sang looked at the road ahead and resolutely chose the direction with the stronger smell.

Soon, Bai Sang saw a low shed.

At the very front of the shed, there was a small house enclosed by wooden boards, which looked drafty from all sides.

Bai Sang stood outside and observed for a moment, making sure no one was inside, then lifted the curtain and went in.

A foul stench wafted over, and Bai Sang frowned, taking a mask from her inventory and putting it on.

There were many spots that looked like mud on the table and chairs, and Bai Sang really couldn't bring herself to touch them.

Finally, she took out a pair of gloves from the betrothal gifts and put them on before she began to rummage through the items.

New pieces of paper fell from the bottom when the drawer was pulled out.

Zookeeper's Code of Conduct (Part 2)

Bai Sang was delighted. She first took a picture of the rules with her phone before continuing to read them.

To protect the physical and mental health and rights of zookeepers, please strictly abide by the following rules.

[1. Keepers must eat in the kitchen at least once a day, but cannot order food. Kitchen staff will not offer you extra food. All meat comes from animals raised on the farm, so please feel free to eat it.]

2. There are many paths within the manor. If you get lost, please do not tell anyone. Memorize the farm map and avoid the circled areas. *&¥%# Approaching *&… will lead to death.

3. Every creature in the manor has unique characteristics. You can showcase your distinctiveness; those who are different will be treated as domesticated species. Your true identity must be kept strictly confidential.

4. Complete equality prevails within the manor. There is no manor owner. If you encounter a human claiming to be the manor owner, please ignore them and simply leave.

5. The creatures in the manor have diverse personalities; observe and interact with them. Don't judge them solely by their appearance. [The last part, "¥#…& can be trusted," appears to be an unrelated fragment and is left untranslated.]

6. Domesticated species are the lowest form of existence. If they are tortured or beaten, this is normal. Please ignore it, remember your duty, and only do what is assigned to you.

If the first half describes the situation within the manor and the responsibilities of the workers, then the second half focuses on protecting the safety of the keepers.

Of course, this is on the premise that these rules are correct.

The garbled text here is all related to your personal safety.

Turning the paper over, Bai Sang saw a map of the farm.

After taking a picture of the map, Bai Sang placed the piece of paper back where it had been.

If you want to see it, then find it yourself.

Following the map, she carefully walked along a small path.

Both sets of rules, without exception, use the species being raised and the things existing on the farm.

If the farm is inhabited by beastmen, then what species are being raised?

Is it purely animal, or...?

Humans?

The first rule states that meals can be eaten in the kitchen, but Bai Sang doesn't plan to go for the time being.

I also redeemed two steamed buns in the shop and quickly ate them.

Ahead appeared to be a vegetable growing area, where several people with sheep and rabbit heads were busy working.

Thinking of rule number 3, which requires them to keep their true identities strictly confidential, Bai Sang bought a rabbit headband from the mall and put it in her pocket.

But soon, a rabbit-headed person suddenly looked up.

"Who's over there?"

Bai Sang was startled. Just as she was about to put on the headband, she saw a minotaur walk out.

"It's me. I heard that Erhu has his eye on a new zookeeper."

His voice was very low and stiff.

The rabbit-headed man smiled, his rabbit lips trembling noticeably.

Will the new zookeeper bring about any changes in our lives?

The minotaur seemed to be savoring something.

"Who knows? Maybe there will be a chance."

Bunnies are cute, bunny girls are cute, but this bunny-headed man only reminds me of horror movies.

I think so too, they're terrifying.

The light in that rabbit-headed man's eyes looked so fierce; it felt like he could devour a child at any moment.

The tiger-headed man from earlier seemed rather honest and simple.

These words also sounded very strange to Bai Sang.

She silently retreated and returned to the breeding farm.

Zhao Suxiang was already waiting at the door.

“Daughter, you’re here. I told you it was here, but they didn’t believe me.”

Bai Sang smiled and glanced at Zhao Suxiang's work ID.

"No matter what you do, don't take it off."

Zhao Suxiang quickly nodded, "I'll listen to you, I'll listen to whatever you say."

Bai Sang checked the time; there were still five minutes before she had to start work.

The timid man had already run over, panting, and his face turned pale when he smelled the odor.

Are we going to work here?

Bai Sang didn't say anything.

When Xiao Ruoruo and Li Anping arrived, Xiao Ruoruo immediately gagged a few times.

She clung tightly to Li Anping's arm, about to speak, when Bai Sang spoke up.

"It's time."

When it's time to start work, they can only do work-related things.

Xiao Ruoruo glanced into the small shed a few times.

"Bai Sang, you're here early. Have you discovered any new rules?"

Without saying a word, Bai Sang picked it up and placed it outside the breeding farm, then went inside with a bucket filled with some unknown paste.

Xiao Ruoruo stomped her feet in anger. She was about to say something when Li Anping tugged at her arm. "The rules."

Xiao Ruoruo immediately gave up and laboriously carried a bucket into the feeding area she was in charge of.
