Chapter 27 Animal Farm 10

"Hello, could you please open the door for me?"

Bai Sang glanced at the time; it was exactly 2 a.m.

Without a word, she opened the door, watched the driver jump into the car, turn around, and slowly drive into the open space in front of the animal enclosure.

"Hey, this manor of yours is really something, always sending people to pick up goods in the middle of the night."

The driver got out of the car, still muttering to himself.

"Young lady, why are you waiting here alone in the middle of the night?"

Bai Sang kept in mind the rules that said not to talk to the driver and the loader.

She just smiled and didn't say a word.

Bai Sang did not follow the driver and loader into the shed.

"Hey, little girl, come and take a look. Which ones look similar and need to be shipped out?"

Mo Yuan scratched his chin twice with his fingers and laughed happily.

"I'm talking to you."

Bai Sang glanced at him, but remained silent.

"Hey little girl, why aren't you talking to me?"

Bai Sang watched the driver skillfully hoisting people onto the car and knew that his perception had been corrupted.

She remained silent.

The driver rambled on for a while, but seeing that Bai Sang was ignoring him, he stopped talking.

The surroundings quieted down, and Bai Sang finally heard the soft wails and cries of the humans in the animal pens.

The sound was very faint; it could only be heard in a completely quiet environment.

However, according to rule number 2, you must return to your dormitory immediately upon hearing crying.

Bai Sang thought for a moment and then returned to the small wooden hut where she had found the rules.

As soon as I stood still, I heard the sound of loudly pounding on wooden planks coming from outside.

Bai Sang ignored them, but the force of her pounding increased, as if the people outside would break the wooden board if she didn't comply.

Suppressing the urge to speak, Bai Sang stood motionless in the wooden hut.

After the last few sounds, which resembled kicking the door, it finally became quiet outside.

Bai Sang tried to peek through the cracks in the wooden planks to see how things were going outside, only to meet a pair of reddened eyes.

Bai Sang took a few steps back without making a sound, pretending that she hadn't seen anything.

The person outside spoke again.

"Young lady, I've hurt my back, could you come out and help me?"

"Young lady, are you really that heartless? Come out and help me, please help me!"

Bai Sang stood still, carefully observing the movements of these people, remaining silent.

The voices and knocking quickly turned into the sound of fingernails scratching at the door, interspersed with human cries.

"Save me, I don't want to die, save me."

"I am not a pig, I am a human being, I am a human being."

Amidst these cries, Bai Sang involuntarily took a step forward and reached out to grasp the doorknob.

The next second, a cold hand was placed on her arm.

The cold touch instantly gave her goosebumps.

“They’ve already been contaminated. If you go out now, you’ll be breaking the rules.”

Bai Sang's blank eyes suddenly focused.

She gently released her hand.

"I think I've been affected."

She had clearly seen it with her own eyes just now; the man had changed.

"You have indeed been affected. The ghost stories are all about corrupted humans or monsters. Only you new players are uncorrupted."

Mo Yuan stood in the middle of the shed, the light so dim that his expression was obscured.

But he had a certain confidence about him, as if he were standing in a magnificent hall.

[The domineering CEO vibe is finally showing.]

[If you had done this earlier, would I have even said you were being unreasonable?]

This is what a domineering CEO should feel like.

[That face, that figure, that feeling—I'll give you a tip!]

The screen was filled with dazzling special effects.

Bai Sang also felt her mind was in turmoil.

She let out a soft sigh and looked at Mo Yuan.

"Thank you for earlier."

Mo Yuan nodded, "So, when I get back, I want to stay in the room with the balcony in the middle on the second floor."

This room sounds so familiar.

Soon, Bai Sang remembered where she was.

"I'm sorry, Gu Yuan has already checked into this room."

Mo Yuan's expression instantly turned sour.

"I'll choose the remaining rooms myself."

Bai Sang had no idea about the intricacies of the matter and nodded readily.

"I live on the third floor, you can choose the rest yourself."

Mo Yuan stood silently to the side, and Bai Sang only then realized that there was no more movement outside.

Soon, a soft knock sounded on the door again.

"Young lady, I'm out of water in my car. Could you please pour me some?"

The rules say you can't talk to them, don't help with loading, but they don't say you can't pour them water.

She carefully opened the door, carrying a thermos, and poured a cup of hot water into the bottle the driver handed her.

Inside the transparent bottle, hot water sloshed about, revealing an eerie black hue.

The driver looked pleased to see the water.

"Little girl, thank you. Here, take this."

The driver took the bottle back and gave Bai Sang a piece of candy.

"You've had it tough too, young lady, always with such a sweet tongue."

Bai Sang took it and casually put it in her pocket.

The driver didn't say anything more, got in the car, and drove away.

Bai Sang checked the time; it was almost three o'clock.

She sighed and took out her phone.

When I was in school, I stayed up late to finish my homework; when I was working, I worked overtime until midnight; and now I have to do quests in the middle of the night when I enter the world of ghost stories. It's truly pathetic and lamentable.
