Chapter 300: The Vampire Girl

Chapter 300: The Vampire Girl

Torches with leaping flames and candles quietly releasing light—various lights flicker on the streets in the night, making Liechtenstein's western district completely different from its daytime appearance, as if withered trees have come back to life in spring.

Qin Mo entered Liechtenstein through the south gate during the day. What he saw and heard along the way was that the city was quite prosperous. Merchants, commoners, and even blood servants who hated the sun traded and lived in the city, making it less desolate than any other major city in the Western Continent.

But when Qin Mo saw the western part of Liechtenstein at night, she realized she was wrong; Liechtenstein revealed its true colors at night.

All the shops along the street opened their doors. Taverns, restaurants, brothels, and all sorts of shops opened after nightfall, just like the city that never sleeps in Qin Mo's previous life.

"Qin Mo...are we really not going to that...brothel for a visit?"

Xu Luo, who had just been looking down on Qin Mo for going to a brothel at the age of fifteen, was almost bewitched by two women. Their fair, milky skin was completely different from the delicate skin of women from the Western Continent, and their nightmarish voices completely bewitched him. If Qin Mo hadn't pulled him back, he would have gone straight in.

Xu Luo had been in the temple for six years. As a man with normal physical development, he had actually overestimated his willpower.

"I can't guarantee those people won't drink your blood. What if they bite you on the neck at the height of the 'tide'... and you can't be saved?"

Xu Luo muttered resentfully, "Isn't it you who's here? With your skills, how could they have bitten me?"

Qin Mo stared at Xu Luo's disappointed eyes, speechless: "So you mean you're having fun in bed while I'm just standing by watching and protecting you, right?"

Xu Luo turned his head and finally realized something was wrong. He spat angrily, "It's all because of those damned golden-haired vixens, they're so despicable for bewitching people's souls."

Blood servants, distinctly different from the Westerners, were everywhere on the streets. Occasionally, a few beautiful men and women dressed in luxurious gowns would appear, causing those around them to fall silent and bow, clearly indicating that they were higher-ranking, true vampires.

Qin Mo, with a headache, brushed off another vampire girl who came to chat him up. Even among this crowd of handsome men, he was the most conspicuous one. Among a group of white people with high noses and deep-set eyes, the elegant and refined Qin Mo truly shone like a star in the night sky.

The girl was very polite, but also stubbornly refused to leave. Judging from her demeanor and dress, she was no ordinary vampire. Her collar bore a family crest, and it's important to know that vampires qualified to possess such a crest are not those lower-ranking vampires with mixed bloodlines; this was a member of a family whose bloodline could be traced back to ancient times.

"Hey! Oriental, you should accept my invitation. As a formal member of the Plath family, my friendship deserves your respect."

The vampire girl did not get angry because she was rejected, and she showed good manners and etiquette.

This was vampire territory, and Qin Mo didn't want to cause any trouble, so he gave her a standard gentleman's bow. "Beautiful lady, please forgive my rudeness. I have to go to Mente Street, so I have to go without being able to appreciate your hospitality. Please forgive me."

The girl blinked her big eyes with a hint of surprise, "My home is on Mente Street! Is there anything I can do for you?"

Qin Mo said helplessly, "The magic array in one of my weapons is damaged, and I need to find a craftsman to repair it, no... only a master craftsman can do it."

"What a coincidence! My family owns a weapon shop! My uncle is a magic array master." The beautiful woman laughed happily, her dimples radiating joy.

"What the hell era is this? Even arms dealers... have shills now?" Qin Mo was momentarily lost in thought, as if she had returned to a tourist attraction from her previous life.

There were far fewer people on Menter Street. There were no taverns or brothels here, only two rows of old buildings along the street, most of which were open. The stone carvings at the entrances and the patterns on the lintels were in a retro style, which was very different from the mainstream architecture of the West Continent today.

"Hey! Easterners, peeking at a lady isn't a good habit!" The vampire girl leading the way suddenly turned around and said to Xu Luo and Qin Mo in a mischievous tone.

Qin Mo was amazed by her keen senses; she had only been observing her closely for a moment when she was discovered.

"Excuse me, ma'am, please forgive my intrusion. I... I'm just a little curious... I always thought vampires... didn't have heartbeats." Qin Mo was indeed very embarrassed. He had just been listening to the girl's heartbeat and felt that it was beating much slower than a human heartbeat.

"No heartbeat? That's a slumbering vampire. You can use magic array weapons, so you're clearly a cultivator. How could you not even know these basic facts? Didn't your elders teach you?" The girl first found it amusing, then she felt strange.

“Oh! My father passed away a long time ago. I have always lived in Daxia, and I don’t know much about the common knowledge here in Xizhou.”

"Oh! I'm so sorry to have reminded you of your father. But you're from Great Xia, no wonder you look different from them! Were you just feeling my heartbeat?" The vampire girl circled Qin Mo carefully, her eyes filled with even more joy.

Qin Mo was also a little embarrassed. The girl was the first vampire he had ever met, and she was very different from ordinary people.

First, there's her appearance. Qin Mo had always felt that Westerners' facial features were too exaggerated, and beauties like Audrey Hepburn and Sophie Marceau were rare. But the girl in front of her had a face that perfectly matched Qin Mo's aesthetic sense, being both soft and three-dimensional.
