Chapter 325 A Man's Word Must Be True

Bruon's dying howl was not only a lament for life, but also a warning. The orc army that had not yet entered the town began to retreat with mournful cries. Their own people had died in battle; this was the inevitable end for the strong orcs, and also their most unfortunate fate.

Bruon's final, frantic counterattack caused many houses to collapse in the town, and many townspeople were killed or injured. Women wept softly, mourning their dead relatives, while men moved rubble and searched for survivors.

"Let's help them with the search and rescue, then leave!" Qin Mo said, pointing to the townspeople after Heather had healed Kelly's injuries.

"good!"

The saintess agreed calmly, a stark contrast to her usual coldness.

The temple's ascetics began helping the townspeople rescue the buried survivors one by one; in their perception, no surviving life would be overlooked. Kelly, as a priestess, disregarded her own injuries to treat the wounded.

The Rakshasa stared blankly at the temple practitioners who had brought them disaster, letting them heal them. Finally, they watched them leave in a daze. Perhaps many years later, they would remember that rainy night when a group of practitioners had given them disaster, help, and hope.

"Lord Qin Mo...are we no longer going to hunt orcs?" The female knight Ellie couldn't help but ask when she saw that Qin Mo had chosen to head south along the coast.

“The leader of Tallinn, Bruon, is dead. Garrosh of Tartu will surely come to check. It will be very dangerous for us to stay here. The entire eastern defense line is so long, and we have a lot of hunting grounds to choose from. There is no need to take unnecessary risks.”

"Oh! Then we'll hunt together again in the future, right?" Ellie had obtained a pair of orc general's tusks and dozens of elite warrior's tusks this time. She felt that she hadn't had enough after just a few days of such a harvest.

“Of course, I also need a pair of the king’s fangs,” Qin Mo said confidently.

Heatherine, at the front of the line, twitched her ears but didn't speak. Qin Mo's purpose in coming to the North was to obtain special selection rights, and a pair of king's fangs could be exchanged for one designated selection right. However, he only took one of Bruon's fangs. It was really hard to understand what he was thinking.

But Heatherine had no intention of returning her fang to Qin Mo. A man's word is his bond. A "regret pill"? It doesn't exist, and the Temple doesn't have such a thing.

The most frustrated person on this hunt was Holson. Ever since he offended Qin Mo, he hadn't had much success in the hunts. Qin Mo always used "Dark Arrow" to help other cultivators quickly defeat their opponents, while he was often held back by some messy things.

Seeing that even Green, who had always been on good terms with him, was starting to gravitate towards Kelly, Holson hardened his heart. "When we get back to Riga, I'll make you realize... this is the Western Continent, not Great Xia."

Holson recalled Qin Mo's dazzling starlight and brilliance from last night, and a faint ruthlessness flashed in his eyes.

Riga Fortress was noticeably busier than in the previous days, with the number of transport ships and warships in the port at least doubled, indicating that new reinforcements had clearly arrived.

War... is not far off.

When Qin Mo and the others returned to the Great Temple in the center of the fortress, it was already dusk. After returning from the tense enemy territory to the safety of the fortress, everyone felt relaxed and a little tired, so they agreed to go back the next day to exchange the spoils for medals.

Qin Mo and his companions walked towards their residential area, chatting and laughing. Along the way, they saw many new faces, all of whom seemed to have some skills and were obviously powerful individuals recently recruited by the Holy Temple.

Qin Mo's room was a suite, which was considered top-tier, except for the kind of private courtyard where the saintess lived. When he walked to his room and opened the door, he immediately attracted everyone's attention.

"Hey! Do you live here?" a burly-looking young man asked Qin Mo.

"Okay!" Qin Mo replied simply, and then prepared to open the door.

"Hi! Your holy servant is quite good..."

Qin Mo steadied himself, slowly turned his head, and said coldly, "So what?" After his battle with Arthas, his aura had changed considerably, becoming more sharp and ruthless. With just one sentence, he exuded murderous intent.

"Hey! You've got it wrong. What I meant was that your holy servant is quite something... Someone's trying to take advantage of her, but it's not me..." The burly young man wasn't intimidated by Qin Mo. He spread his hands, indicating his innocence.

"Oh! Who is it?" Qin Mo's tone softened considerably.

"Hehe! You'll find out..." The burly young man was clearly a man of temper. He chuckled a couple of times and went back to his room, slamming the door shut.

"Lord Qin Mo...is that you?" Leif's voice came from inside the door, timid like a frightened little animal.

"It's me, open the door!"

The door opened, and Leif stood inside, tears welling in her eyes, her face beaming with joy.

Qin Mo stared at her for a moment, then asked softly, "You've lost weight, what happened?"

Leif stepped aside, clearing the doorway for Qin Mo to enter first, and said as she closed the door, "No, no, I eat a lot at every meal! I think I've gained weight..."

Qin Mo has a keen eye for people; he can even distinguish the fineness of a person's body hair. Reeves was noticeably thinner, or rather, more haggard, than when he left.

"I'm hungry, let's eat first!" Qin Mo watched as Leif quietly wiped away her tears, so she didn't press her further. She planned to talk about it while they ate. Leif was simple-minded, and it was easy to get information out of her.
