Chapter 363 Isabella the Rich
Qin Mo spent seventeen days imparting his cultivation insights in the ruins of the Elven Royal Court outside Oslo, much to the delight of the dozen or so free elves. Their strength improved rapidly, and Hena, Gina, and Helena even reached the point where they could absorb the light of the stars and moon.
On the morning of the eighteenth day, Qin Mo finally heard Isabella's movements.
"Your Highness, did you sleep well?" Qin Mo asked through gritted teeth.
"Did you enjoy patting my chest yesterday?" Isabella asked coldly, her pink eyes fixed on Qin Mo.
"What the heck... how did you know? I was worried you wouldn't wake up... so... by the way, why did you sleep for so long?" Qin Mo was incredibly embarrassed. Yesterday, he was so angry that he slapped Isabella's face and chest all over to make sure they were very elastic and not as stiff as a dead corpse before he stopped.
"snort!"
Isabella responded to Qin Mo with another "humph," but in her heart she was weighing the options: "Should I go against my principles and beliefs and drain him dry? His blood... it's so amazing... I actually feel so comfortable that I want to stay in bed... Should I keep him as a pet... oh no, should I keep him as a sugar daddy?"
Isabelle stretched out her arms, basking in the bright sunlight. There was no smoke rising from her body, no blood surging forth, and she didn't feel much discomfort.
"His blood gave me great power, but my heart almost succumbed to greed and corruption due to the surge in power. It seems that my strength has increased too quickly these days, and I need to consolidate and accumulate it!"
Qin Mo was unaware that he had just teetered on the edge of being kept by a sugar daddy. He was quietly admiring Isabella in the sunlight, who looked much more pleasing to the eye than she did in the night.
"I'm leaving. I've already wasted enough time here!" Qin Mo finally said goodbye. When she was asleep, Qin Mo wished she could just leave her behind. But now that she's awake, Qin Mo feels that staying these extra days has been quite interesting.
"You're going to Riga? Then you'll have to cross the sea to the south shore, right?" Isabella asked, glancing at him.
"yes!"
"I have a boat outside the harbor, do you need a ride?"
Qin Mo said frankly, "As long as you don't suck my blood, I'd be happy to give you a ride!"
Isabella's eyes flashed with anger as she turned and left, while Qin Mo smiled and followed behind.
"Damn it, how did he know my plan? I need at least three more jugs of his blood to barely have enough! Now he's seen through me, sigh! Oh well, Achilles' heart's blood will do, it just tastes much worse..."
Oslo’s port used to be very busy, but in recent years even smuggling caravans have stopped coming, so no one is maintaining the port facilities anymore. The only wooden pier is now crooked and on the verge of collapse.
"Are you sure your ship can just sit at sea and wait for you for two months? Won't they die of thirst, disease, or suffocation?"
Qin Mo stood there dumbfounded for a while after watching Isabella raise a cloud of smoke of a special color on the shore. After a long time, she couldn't hold back any longer and asked a question.
"My crew won't die of thirst or disease, and as for suffocation? That's a quirk unique to you humans."
Qin Mo blinked and nodded, saying, "That's true. You guys can sleep for months at a time. I forgot about that."
On the distant horizon, a sailboat sped towards them, startling Qin Mo.
Most of the large and medium-sized sailboats Qin Mo knew had a speed of around ten knots, and the fastest could not reach sixteen knots. Of course, racing sailboats that had abandoned their carrying capacity and other functions were an exception, but the speed of the sailboat in front of him definitely reached sixteen knots.
As the sailboat drew closer, Qin Mo finally realized why it was moving so fast; Allen had pulled the same stunt right in front of her back then.
"Your ship is really luxurious! There are wind-gathering arrays under every mast. What kind of business does your family run? How can you be so rich?" After looking at the hazy light emanating from the sailboat, Qin Mo realized that it was a sailboat powered by wind-gathering arrays, or rather, a sailboat powered by gold.
"Hmph!" Isabella snorted softly, offering no reply and becoming expressionless.
Qin Mo had come to realize over the past few days that her arrogance wasn't intentional; it was simply her natural demeanor, exuding a strong sense of unapproachability.
"Fine, it's good that you're ignoring me!" Qin Mo quietly took two steps away, keeping a small distance.
Isabella's eyes flickered almost imperceptibly before she regained her cold and disdainful expression.
The sailboat finally approached the shore. Several wind-gathering arrays flashed continuously, the speed of the boat decreased sharply, and it made a big turn. From stillness to movement, it slowly approached the shore in a way that defied common sense. The hull of the boat only stirred up slight waves. The whole movement was gentle and elegant.
"I don't understand the world of the super-rich!" Even Qin Mo, who was well-informed, was completely impressed by this display of skill.
The ship had just arrived at high speed, clearly in a great hurry. When it reached the shore, it even used a magic array to apply a counter-propulsion force to the sails. Finally, it moved very gently to avoid splashing water on the two people's clothes. These subtle operations must have consumed a lot of refined gold and mithril from the magic array. The purpose was simply to make the two people feel respected. Of course, perhaps they were only respecting Isabella and that they were just there for show.
The entire ship exudes luxury, with carvings on its hull more intricate and exquisite than those on Allen's elven ship. This opulent and heavy beauty is a standard vampire style, completely different from the elven style that emphasizes lightness and natural beauty.
