(Quick Transmigration + Yandere + Double Clean + Salvation)
Li Baobei, a recent university graduate (surname Li, given name Baobei), almost fainted from anger when she read the ending of the ...
The two quickly stood up and immediately prepared to take off their clothes and change.
Li Baobei was shocked when she saw this: "Go change in the woods over there."
She immediately turned and walked towards the carriage, and Anji came over to help her quickly into the carriage.
Although the two felt something was strange, they hurriedly went into the woods and returned shortly after changing their clothes.
Jia Lin's clothes were a bit loose, while Gou Dan's clothes seemed a bit tight.
A voice came from inside the carriage: "Jialin, you drive the carriage! I need to get to the county town before dark."
"Anji, come in and come with me."
Anji was flattered, and then, unusually, he showed panic: "This is against the rules, young master."
"There's hardly any room outside, so don't worry about that, come in!"
Anji glanced at the two people standing next to him; if he were added, there probably wouldn't be enough room to sit.
He then climbed onto the carriage and quietly went inside.
Let's get going!
Jia Lin and Gou Dan quickly boarded the carriage, overjoyed. It had been a long time since they had ridden in such a magnificent carriage. It was wonderful!
The carriage slowly began to move, then gradually increased in speed and headed towards Ning'an County.
Looking at the restless and anxious man in the carriage, Li Baobei couldn't help but laugh.
"Anji, what are you doing! We used to share a room, and you weren't embarrassed then. What's wrong with you today?"
Li Baobei looked at Anji with sparkling eyes.
Anji gradually relaxed. "No, young master, I'm just a little unaccustomed to it all of a sudden."
You'll get used to it eventually.
Li Baobei then called out to our group, "How much longer until we reach Ning'an County?"
Jia Lin replied excitedly, "Young master, we'll arrive in half an hour. Hold on tight, I'll make sure you get there safely."
"Giddy up!"
The carriage sped up again.
The sun in the west slowly sank below the horizon, and the surrounding air seemed to grow a few degrees colder.
Inside the carriage, Li Baobei kept asking Jia Lin and Gou Dan about the situation in Ning'an County.
She now has a general idea of how deep the waters are in Ning'an County.
But you'll only know how deep it is by going there yourself.
"Lord He, you must stay safe and sound~"
Before it was completely dark, Li Baobei and her group entered Ning'an County.
Li Baobei frowned as she looked at the empty street. "Why does this scene seem so familiar?"
It bears a striking resemblance to the "evil spirit" incident in Beijing.
She couldn't help but shiver.
Anji noticed that Li Baobei had frowned, and then he also looked outside the carriage.
It was still dark when there were hardly any people around, which was really eerie.
He then said coldly, "Find an inn immediately."
"Okay!" Jia Lin's voice also turned serious; something was very wrong in the city.
The carriage slowly drove along the empty street for a while before coming to a stop.
Jia Lin whispered, "Young master, there is an inn here."
An eerie silence hung over the streets, as if something might crawl out from some corner at any moment.
Anji immediately lifted the curtain and went out.
Knock knock knock~
"Is anyone home?" Jia Lin knocked on the door softly.
No one answered.
Knock knock knock~
Jia Lin knocked on the door again, this time louder than before.
"We're here to stay."
The air fell still again, and Gou Dan trembled with fear. It was terrifying.
Creak~~
Suddenly the door opened a crack, revealing only an eye.
The person inside the door carefully examined the person outside.
He then whispered furtively, "Come in from the back, I'll go open the door right away."
The carriage then turned to the back door of the inn.
A short while later, a short man gently opened the door, and Anji immediately pulled the carriage into the inn.
The carriage was placed in the stable.
The group quietly entered the inn's lobby.
The man then stood behind the counter. "Where are you from, sir?"
Li Baobei noticed the shopkeeper's strange gaze but didn't want to say anything more. "We come from a small county town and are planning to go to the capital to stay with relatives."
The shopkeeper gave them a cold look and said, "Oh!"
"How many rooms would you like to book, sir?"
"Two rooms, please! For two people, preferably two rooms next to each other."
After checking into their rooms, the four turned and went upstairs. A moment later, the innkeeper's voice came from downstairs: "Gentlemen, please try not to go out at night and get some rest. If you hear any shouting outside in the middle of the night, do not open the window, or you may suffer a bloody disaster."
Everyone was taken aback. Li Baobei then turned to Jia Lin and quietly asked, "Has Ning'an County always been like this?"
Jia Lin was also completely baffled. "When I came three months ago, it was bustling with activity. I don't know why it has become like this now."
A moment later, Li Baobei sat on the bed and began to ponder.
"What exactly happened in Ning'an County? Why has it become like this?"
She had no idea what was going on, so she quickly washed up, took off her shoes and socks, and lay quietly on the bed. She glanced at Anji next to her and saw that Anji was making the bed as usual, meticulously.
I feel much more at ease as long as Anji is by my side.
The inn was eerily quiet; when I went downstairs to fetch water, only a dim light flickered, making it look particularly eerie.
